  1. Rey vs Murphy, Black vs Theory and MVP vs Apollo? That's dope
  2. I'm glad you saw the light, bubba. She's incredible as a dominant face and as an unhinged heel.
  3. Asuka is the absolute BEST at this type of setting. Well, she is the absolute BEST.
  4. Ayy... too soon bubba
  5. Gimme Drew vs Angel Garza
  6. Vince McMahon managed to make professional wrestling be considered as essential business. Evil motherfucker. Ultimate carny.
  7. I'll die on that hill. Rusev is great, love him to death, but I just find Corbin better all around. 'cept at being a face.
  8. C'mon bubba, I'm pretty sure that the original comparison was about the character itself and not everything else. It wouldn't make sense otherwise!
  9. Worse than Corbin > Rusev? (Which still holds up btw) But I get the comparison. BNB was always a loner who never got along with anyone else, and Austin had those markings early on, but became a way more fleshed out character, which is what I understood by "lesser" in this situation. Also, could it be that, like @rovert mentioned on Twitter, that wrestlers just wanna wrestle, even in face of such a horrible worldwide pandemic? Which is what would lead Bryan and others to keep on hitting the road?
  10. I thought so, but describing Austin as "a lesser version of a baby face Bad News Brown" sounds like a dig despite being accurate.
  11. wait what is this
  12. The matches against DIY/AOP/American Alpha and /E&C rocked hard, despite having only the most basic storylines behind them, and that was enough to appease the crowds at FSU. It always seemed to me that both of them had no on-screen presence outside of the ring, much like American Alpha (who IIRC were supposed to win the SD Tag Titles but Rhyno and Slater got massively over), and they never would take off based on only their abilities. What made Jason Jordan be featured more often and turn into a well-rounded, can't-miss future star wasn't the fact that he was insanely good, but a silly storyline where Angle was his father, and he got to show a lot of character and presence. They tried silly stuff with The Revival as well during the feud with The Usos, which I remember got louder reactions than pretty much anything else they've done in the main roster. Did not work as well. Shit sucks, sometimes. Great wrestlers, not so entertaining doing something else.
  13. Any other names that alluded to 80s tag teams - which is what they intended since the beginning - would be better than names alluding to early ROH, don't you think?
  14. I mean if their thing is supposed to be a throwback to the golden years of tag team wrestling, why not use "Anderson" or "Gibson"?
  15. had to do a double take
  16. I somewhat agree with C.S that The Revival were used relatively well. Like, think about those tag teams that were featured in the 2015/2016 Dusty Rhodes TTCs and were featured in the main roster. American Alpha, Vaudevillains, Lucha Dragons, and even the AOP got the short end of the stick. Let's not even mention Sanity or TM61...
  17. The Revival in NXT was the bomb, and really were responsible for some of the highest of high-end matches in 2016 or so if I'm not mistaken, but even then they felt thin on the character side of things. WWE later on made many mistakes with them, but very few NXT tags could get a reaction on the main roster. If we compare them to American Alpha, they got lucky...
  18. Whatever HBK has been doing in NXT now makes me think less of him as a performer, and having Bret above him, in hindsight is a no brainer.
  19. COVID-19 being the force that drives Roman away from WWE and leads to him having stints in different promotions would be a hell of a story. Give me Roman vs Ishii dammit
  20. Hollywood Cena clashing with Braun choo-choo train Strowman for title #17 would be dope. Give me Cena vs Roman at WM 37 for the belt.
  21. Otis is a superstar. He's one of those guys who could be successful in any era because of his incredible charisma and strength. He's a more affable, not yet as good Earthquake.
  22. If you win Wrestlemania 36 using your Special Move, Big Show appears as a secret final boss.
  23. Nia coming back is dope. Her vs Liv or Bianca would rock
  24. Terrible take bubba Black/Apollo is one of those TV gems
  25. Liv, come next year, will be at Naomi levels of skill. Which is high fucking praise. Love 'em both.
