  1. Now, the issue is that two big dudes (who were super fucking gassed lol) wrestling to a fuck finish followed by a Nia Jax match is like the most shit way to ride that CM Punk wave.
  2. Ivar vs Bronson Reed was some good shit. Neither man could lose right now, so a classic double count-out and brawl to the back was the right decision.
  3. I am certain Cody gave Shinsuke the idea to use red mist.
  4. Cody is back to crying every single promo. The power is back! Zoomer Steiners, man.
  5. QT, bubba. Talking about changes in direction and whatnot.
  6. Sure an interesting choice of words
  7. I read from SRS it was from that top rope uranage, he landed pretty much on his shoulder. It was a nasty, nasty drop.
  8. He absolutely is! And he was a prick to maaaaany people in WWE - Miz, Hornswoggle are two examples, and other people don't like him -, but I am talking about stuff like him going out of his way to bury others on press conferences, punch other talent, lunge at execs etc. There is that story about him trying to be the locker room leader and people just laughing at him, but nothing physical came out of it. Either way, it's a win-win because I like backstage drama.
  9. Roman shouldn't be jobbing to Dwayne. Ever. Under any circumstance. But for real, I don't think CM Punk will have too many problems, or cause too many problems backstage. His biggest (public) detractor, Rollins, already had legit beef with Riddle and their match turned out fine, so the precedent of him working with people he doesn't like is there. I don't see him crossing paths with Roman anytime soon. He mended fences with The Miz. Most other top guys he could work with are too savvy to not poke the bear or just be a dick, like Jack Perry. He's the anti-Cody in the sense that while Rhodes was portrayed as someone with a chip on his shoulder, Punk can 100% be portrayed as someone who holds a grudge, is bitter etc. One is wholesome, the other is Phil Brooks. Happy-go-lucky Punk in AEW was the lowest part of his run. He's at his best when he's a miserable prick.
  10. Andrade certainly wants out, but if there is one person I think absolutely wants to stay at AEW is Miro. Basically he wasn't included in the C1 tournament because he'd need to job, is still getting paid regardless, and managed to get his hot and flexible wife on the pay roll. He essentially figured out the game to a level which would make Kevin Nash shed a tear.
  11. For real, if they talk spicy and build that feud smartly, that shit can go all the way into April or March and finally they can main event (Night 1 of) Wrestlemania.
  12. That man was trying to protect BLACK ADAM against SUPERMAN. I'm 100% sure one of the reasons that match won't happen is that he wants to go over.
  13. The thing is: she's at that Four Horsewomen/Bianca/Asuka level of looking like a star, but she waaaaay behind her in terms of in-ring ability. Ronda, who was essentially a pro-wrestling prodigy, had previous combat sports experience, and that can make things easier. Jade doesn't have that, and yeah, AEW doesn't really have a system to help young or less experienced wrestlers improve. The PC *DID* improve in terms of making athletes be ready for the main roster, and their recent class is fucking star-studded. I'm sure they can help Jade with that transition to Goldberg-like monster to actually competitive athlete.
  14. It is not gonna happen, man. Even if they wanted that at one point, which I doubt, that ship sailed a long, long time ago. The Rock returning at all this year was essentially a coincidence IIRC. Endgame is Codester vs Roman II. Can plans change? Yeah, but it's unlikely Rock will come back at over 50 years old after his body was torn to shreds against Cena, and he still has his eyes on regaining his place as a top movie draw.
  15. I guess the company itself is in better shape right now than in 2011-2014, specially when you look at what was pissing him off. There's no Wrestlemania Main Event Miz (although that wasn't bad), there is no The Rock coming in to take the spotlight, there is no Batista winning the Rumble, there is no Kane and Big Show eliminating all the fan favorites. The landscape is looking way less grim, to the point where being inserted into the IC title scene would be a fucking great program. Now, him being extra petty and bringing in the real AEW World Title would own, but that will never happen.
  16. Shit, they brought back Ultimate Warrior and televised that man's death essentially. I don't think anyone is off limits.
  17. I take it as a big win for him tbh. He is still over as fuck and the spotlight is NOT on him despite the 18 month absence. He can keep coasting it.
  18. Seth was pissed off and needed to be held back by Cole and Graves, while Drew also took off visibly angry. I get Rollins being pissy about Punk, but McIntyre? Have they ever interacted?
  19. LOL the in-ring talent didn't know. Seth must be delighted (although he knows he can't just ether Punk like he did Riddle)
  20. They must be giving him insane amounts of money AND a super light schedule. I can't see him working like the other 4 babyfaces in the main event.
