  1. Should be an all-timer, really. Even the "weakest" matches on the card, which is Shane/Miz vs The Bar and Rusev vs Nakamura, will at least be very entertaining. Ronda vs Sasha is going to be a barn burner.
  2. No reason not to have Belair win and not be featured in the Rumble, as well as Shayna. NXT insisted on having that dreadful DIY storyline for too long and it hurt the product too much.
  3. Hey no hype for this card 'cept for the EST winning the title. Fuck Bolsonaro. Enjoy the card, fellas
  4. Ronda is absolutely a fan, so considering how much she can do with this frankly great roster, it's doubtful she's going to stop after just one AMAZING year. At the same time, starting a family is a very serious decision and she should have time for herself, Travis and her future child(ren) - it's not like she can't provide for them. Also, heard that Kacy Catanzaro is going to be in the Rumble. Honestly I doubt she would even need NXT that much - if she does like 3 batshit crazy stunts, she's going to get over right away.
  5. An Abyss cameo in the Rumble would be extra sweet
  6. Oh, Ronda is absolutely a Sasha stan - which could actually be a dope storyline if you ask me. Considering how much of a big match player Banks is, and how much of a phenom in the business Ronda is turning out to be, it's safe to say there is no worries about the match, nor that there's beef. Btw, if Daniel Bryan calling out boomers (Vince included) yesterday isn't an indication he has creative control over pretty much all his programs, I don't knos what is.
  7. The problem is I believe she's the one writing her own shit. She would actually benefit from following a script because last night's promo was some Scatman Jones type deal. She nearly didn't breathe during her promo and I doubt if that was the creation of some writer.
  8. This main event was a delightful piece of chaos. Sasha and Ronda will absolutely murder each other come Sunday.
  9. Zack Ryder is still over and they found a way to end Hawkin's streak. Should be a fun littke program bubbas. Also Ronda's promos aren't.... good.
  10. EC3 was really hyped up in NXT and then he had to wrestle. Let him be built in those sketches before making him go all-out in the ring. Also Ambrose fucking suuuuuuucks. Horrible, horrible in every aspect.
  11. Cody, on unionizing wrestlers: That's a big yikes for me
  12. Also, regarding Andrade getting his name shortened: are we forgetting that Elias used to be called Elias Samson? Wild, ain't it?
  13. The Miz feud was dope (I mean, it brought back the Spirit Squad and it was dope as shit), but the Ambrose affair just isn't completely forgetable because their Summerslam match sucked hard. Honestly, I don't remember one dude who's had as many championships in his resume and yet failed to be over as much as Ziggler did. KO is awful and spent most of his WWE carrer holding a title belt, but people actually liked him. Ziggler comes out to crickets. He has a record scratch over the sound of silence. It's horrible. Remember that segment where he threw the most half-hearted temper tantrum in the locker room? Straight out Tommy Wiseau's playbook.
  14. Swagger is weird because he can wrestle, and his weird "We the People" tag with Cesaro rocked. But dude makes Lashley look like Randy Savage when it comes to charisma, it's so odd. Maybe he can make it work in MMA?
  15. I believe that Rhodes and Juice are the outliers, though. People like Ryback, Swagger, Barrett and Sandow surely benefitted from being in the shitty overproduced environment that is WWE. Cody had a valuable name more than anything, and fair fucks to him, he is very good at promoting himself, even if his matches aren't exactly good - he kind of became a meme for how incredibly average his matches against the top indie stars were. The most improved surely is Juice, though.. The gimmick he had as CJ Parker was a less extreme version of what Daniel Bryan is doing right now, but he is the best example of being rewarded for hard work and determination. I find it hard to believe that a dude like Ziggler, who doesn't seem to have many aspirations in wrestling anymore, is going to be a success case. He does seem keen on pursuing comedy, though.
  16. Man remember that time when Ziggler vacated the US Title with a serious promo only to come back with that ridiculous record scratch intro to his theme at the #30 spot, and people were actually afraid he would win the Rumble? Yeah fuck that guy. He sucks. Go infuriate the AEW locker room.
  17. Also it seems that Ziggler might be done with WWE, as he turned down an offer to be a producer. But, taken into consideration that he's WWE's Kenny Omega (in more ways than one, but in this case it's yearly rumors of his release), I won't get my hopes up.
  18. Can't say they weren't smart on that one. Good on them - although I do feel that they also wanted to be featured more on TV, which is also OK. Hell yes! It ain't as pretty as Roman's, but the fact he does that little flip after contact makes it stand out
  19. In unrelated news, according to Sean Ross Sapp, people in WWE are fearful that Revival might request their releases; The Kanellis also requested their releases, but AFAIK, they were denied.
  20. This SD has been batshit insane. Awesome week for WWE TV.
  21. REY MYSTERIO IS THE BEST WRESTLER EVER HOLY FUCKING SHIT
  22. Leave it to Rey Mysterio to make headlock segments entertaining
  23. I'm LOVING those NXT cameos. You integrate them to the main roster, getting their characters across and sometimes getting them over quickly without giving away too much. They did something similar with Elias and he's absurdly over.
  24. Heavy Machinery/New Day/Becky interactions to open Smackdown I got no words.
