  1. Some mentioned Liv putting her head down after a few of the kicks, which may also have helped the whole incident, but like it was said, Brie was reckless regardless if Morgan had her head down or not. Those last two kicks would be awful even if they were to the chest.
  2. This RAW episode was just great. Hope Liv is alright though, that was really scary. Rezar no-selling Roman's offense is
  3. Be fair to Nikki my dude, she's fucking great (and has been for some years). Brie just isn't that good... although she is playing her role in the SD feud to a T.
  4. Brie "right leg hospital; left leg morgue" Bella. Knocked poor Liv out cold. Maryse would never. My lord, it looked horrible. Brie went full Kawada on Morgan. https://twitter.com/GumSwallower/status/1044390392391716864
  5. Hey, them integrating MMC tag teams into RAW is pretty neat. The crowd also seems very much into this. Good for them and the wrestlers!
  6. Interesting opening segment. The Dogs of War being shit-stirrers and trying to get into Dean's head is some great stuff.
  7. Hey fellas! Hope we get more Lio Rush tonight.

    NXT talk

Remember they were really upset about the first TakeOver Brooklyn being held outside of Full Sail, booing everytime there was a mention of the word "Brooklyn", to the point where KO had to cut a promo taking a massive dump on their heads? Fun times.
  9. Nothing stood out in this episode like Kelly/Satomura, but nothing was bad, either. Comfortably good for 1st round matches, which is nice. Match #9 - Kaityln vs Kavita Devi: I love Kaitlyn. She was having some actually pretty good matches in NXT back in 2013 against AJ, so it is curious to see that she's still doing well against green opponents. She would rock against many people currently in the roster, and it's a shame she won't be around. Still, a good little match, which I guess one could categorize as a hoss battle. Match #10 - Toni Storm vs Jinny: While Toni was over from the get go - and she is amazingly charismatic, with tons of late 90s Jericho mannerisms - Jinny was the star in this and she managed to captivate the crowd by the end of the match. Commentary was also pretty good in this, going in detail about Jinny's gimmick and how it would translate to the ring. Different stuff, I liked it. Match #11 - Karen Q vs Xia Li: Badass stuff. As someone who did kung fu for almost a decade, the opening moments of the match was something I'll hold dearly in my heart. They should do more stuff like that, and both looked incredible. Love Xia's finisher, too. Match #12 - Mia Yim vs Allysin Kay: Heated match through and through. Quite slow at times, but they did manage to get the story and themselves over.
  10. SmackDown was unbelievable. Cesaro vs Kofi was very good (yeah no shit those dudes had a MOTYC on fucking Superstars - or was it Main Event - of all places), Nakamura vs Rusev was great and RUSEV IS FINALLY OFFICIALLY BABYFACE, and then we had AJ vs Almas which was given PPV time. Couple that with great segments such as Miz TV and Becky's coronation, and you get another great episode. Raw was good, SD was good. At least watch the matches, people. They are usually good and even if you don't like the product they are entertaining as hell.
  11. Orton being a torture porn enthusiast seems logical.
  12. The World Cup could be an interesting idea (which was done by TNA not long ago), and considering how many of the lads (and some of the lasses too IIRC) are big associated football fans, they could have a blast doing it. If only they could have someone to represent Brazil... (and win 5 times before slowly turn into a joke)
  13. Are we back to the attitude era? Main event was straight out of 1999.
  14. Lio not only saved Lashley's career, but also came off as a massive, MASSIVE star. Dude is just so good.
  15. I don't care, have Ruby be the one to beat Ronda for the title. Gonna be a complete banger.
  16. Ambrose/McIntyre was pretty good! The least wacky shit Dean does, the better.
  17. So, Roman/Brock/Braun annouced for Saudi Arabia's Crown Jewel. Roman/Corbin should be fun. Baron has some nice Bossman spots and is a grade A asshole, so must be good.
  18. 'Sup dudes and dudettes
  19. Y'know, after rewatching some late 90s main events, the HiaC main event felt like a cautionary tale or even a loveletter to those nostalgic for the Attitude Era. While this did not reach the batshit insane levels of overbooking of something like Austin vs Dude Love, it was an eventful match with NINE people getting involved, and a non finish. Particularly, I enjoyed it, but the inclusion of Lesnar, even if it made sense - they hinted at it right after he lost it at Summerslam, when Angle said it would be "a cold day in hell" before he awarded Lesnar a rematch, and IIRC the commentators actually addressed that. It might be bad that they insist on giving Lesnar time, but it doesn't seem like they didn't plan this storyline in advance.
  20. I was actually looking forward to this one the most, because the build to it had some really violent, crazy moments. Orton messing with Hardy's ear lobe will forever be one of the sickest images in WWE history. The match itself was really, really good. There's surprisingly not much downtime for an Orton match, and even if he did a headlock one time, it felt like a purposeful trolljob than anything. This was violent, and had many, many spots were I was just feeling tense due to the absurd violence that was taking place. From Orton suplexing Hardy into an upside down ladder, to Hardy beating the shit out of Randy with the belt (and making him bleed!) and fucking his leg up royally with the Swanton Bomb (the camera shot they did with the close-up of the wound was gross) to THAT screwdriver spot... All leading to a different finish, which I was ok with. Jeff being a daredevil was his own downfall. It felt brutal, it felt violent in a way that most WWE matches don't feel, even when they have more blood. Great, great stuff.
  21. It's all cool, brothers. Discussion here is usually level-headed and given that this place gathers more hidden gems and lesser known wrestling matches/promotions reviews, I figure that it's more of an heterogeneous environment, and people here can coexist without leaping at each others' throaths.
  22. It's alright, dude. Like, I feel that most of us were on the same wavelength in events like Triplemania and even All-In, and I get not being satisfied with a product, or having the feeling that it doesn't appeal to what you enjoy - it is alienating. The upside is that we are living in an age where we have more options than ever. Not only we got access to old stuff, but companies like NOAH, AJPW and BJW offer different approaches to NJPW, which would be the "mainstream" alternative, and US indie wrestling is looking healthy and revealing new, insteresting stars. Don't feel bad about not enjoying it, my dude. If anything, that would make the discovery of something that you do enjoy even more gratifying.
  23. Nah I actually enjoyed it.
  24. How about no, hm?
  25. Yo, Roman's first defense was against Finn Balor, doesn't that count?
