  1. Uruguay had a good run. Being able to accomplish what they did with MUSLERA as their goalkeeper was truly a feat.
  2. It's the face version of Sgt. Slaughter turning his back to his country of origin, pretty much. Also I completely forgot Belgium - Wales was 1-3. From my memory, it was a hard fought 1-0 victory by the Welsh. It actually gives me hope for the game tomorrow. Peachy finish by HRK too. Romario-like, even.
  3. The road from '90 to 94 was rough. We almost didn't made the WC in the USA.
  4. Sarcasm, but Japan going up 2-0 against one of the biggest ongoing hypetrains in football (at least in Brazil, it almost became a meme) and almost winning was fun and a good laugh.
  5. Regarding the penalty, Sanchez and Kane first were chest-to-chest, normal contact, nothing weird. Then Kane initiates the pulling pretty blatantly, and afterwards Sanchez, on his second mindfart in 3 matches played, piggybacks Kane. It was a penalty, but maybe a fould should've been awarded. Worse penalties weren't called, including against Brazil so what the fuck. I'm pretty sure there was a third dive, on OT IIRC. Similar to Maguire's, but non apologetic at all. Really hard to say Colombia were on "a different level", at least to my perception of things. It was certainly one of the roughest matches of the tournament, but it's far, far from the black and white takes some people are saying. In all honesty, it was similar to a semifinal match on Libertadores, CONMEBOL's club tournament. Felt like a big time match, at least. About 'Football's Coming Home', I've seen that being used every single big tournament, be it Euro or WC. It's not this one time I've seen it, and when you start to see people say the exact same stuff failure after failure, it kind of starts to become grating, even moreso if you are not from England. And it might be my perception, but I always see people praising nearly every single C+ player that appears coming from England, more frenquently on twitter, but sometimes even actually high class players such as Alan Shearer. It might be silly, but considering how much we do consume UK-based information in Brazil, it is easy to see how we would be like "fuck, again?". We might be guilty of doing that with the Hexa, too. Not sure how it comes off to the international crowd and I would enjoy to have your thoughts on this, to be honest. All in all, I was pretty upset last night. The match was what it was, good or bad, and I think Perkerman's Christmas Tree formation killed any offensive chances the team could've had, but it was mostly because Borja and Mina, two of my current faves - the former our current top goalscorer with 15 goals in 22 games, and the latter one of the best CBs in the world and who was actually on the Brazilian Championship winning team of 2016, Palmeiras -, were emotionally destroyed.
  6. Stones scrapped Falcao's head with his foot while Garcia was down, which itself should've at least got a yellow, or also a straight red. Plus, England players going sole first in a tackle and HE'S the one to sell the impact while the Colombian player gets the yellow card. Ridiculous diving by the english players (after all the shit they gave Neymar, you'd think they wouldn't be even worse), and all the "harassment" the Colombian players did (which Enligsh players also done after Mina scored his beautiful goal - miss you big guy go back to Palmeiras please don't waste your time in Barcelona) was because Kane, while unquestionably got fouled in the box, was pulling and pushing Sanchez before the whistle. To act like Colombia were provoking England, while the other side was stoic and wasn't playing exactly the same is to believe "they are above that", which is complete bollocks as a whole. No player in the world is above diving or hitting the other player in an underhanded way. However only a few are holier-than-thou about that.
  7. I created a proper topic for this discussion, so I'll post my thoughts there in order to not fuck this thread over, my dude. In summary: England played unquestionably dirty in the game with some nasty underhanded shit which is not to say Colombia wasn't.
  8. I've been ACHING to talk about this shit here. England is the absolute biggest shitbag heel in the history of the sport! Claiming they be the best and that "FOOTBALL IS COMING HOME" while only winning ONCE is peak heel shit. The sheer hypocrisy on the treatment of players is astounding, too. Miz without the accolades, pretty much. Alternatively, they would be that indie fan that hypes up any C+ player to be a A+ one. Walcott and other players like him like Lingard and Sterling are the sort of backyarders who only do flips. Spain would be the Revival. Always technically profficient, but other than a period of glory, bunch of underachievers. Brazil is the actual GOAT, undeniably. However, much like the greatest ones had their nemesis, we still have to overcome France after '58. Still we keep it a 100% Jesus, who's yet to score in this WC. Injuries killed him and maybe going to Porto or another top portuguese club would be great for a rehab, just like Drew McIntyre did in his indie run.
  9. That's some condescending shit right here. How was Colombia playing any differently from England? Besides, getting a USA ref to an England game is LOL.
  10. Much like the Old Day segment or the nWo by 1999, this has jumped the shark
  11. I think people using a soy-based viagra just to get it hard while saying soy eaters are getting feminized is ridiculously ironic. Now that I think about it, if Titus had the proper mic skills, Titus Worldwide would be a perfect WWE version of InfoWars. Noam Dar would be the perfect PJW. Who knew that wrestling would provide us such an interesting insight into the mind of grifters who abuse of their impressionable fanbase who don't know any better serious jornalists who aren't afraid to tell the truth.
  12. I mean, what better way to garner heat than to say people have man boobs while not being afraid to have your own nice pair, while at the same time being such a grifter that you are betting on the impotence of your fanbase in order to make $? It's almost a commentary within itself.
  13. fun fact the guy who coined the term soy boy is a twink that goes around selling boner pills could be a hell of a territory gimmick
  14. England's national squad at this point is that wrestler who usually talks big, says they are the hot stuff but fights real dirty and takes pride on preying on the less fortunate. Basically Miz but without the actual accolades. Anyway. It seems Roman elevated another act. Business per usual.
  15. It's gonna be the crossfittest of all crosffit matches, bubba
  16. No worries my dude. Gonna incorporate your infos to the OP
  17. Bray Wyatt totalled his car and suffered some injuries. It seems we'll be getting Rollins vs Ziggler 30 minute Ironman Match at Extreme Rules. Revival v Roman + Lashley again Bayley and Sasha go to therapy Ronda announced as appearing at Extreme Rules with a "front row ticket" Also. Saw lots of dudes giving Neymar shit. Ya'll don't know good football.
  18. The dude is the Top Champion in the #2 promotion in the world. He decided to, in a vanity project, to use the name of the promotion he works for. He was the sole booker and promoter of the whole event. He had an actual pedophile wrestling against a domestic abuser on his show, went on the defensive when questioned about it and LIED about not having any sort of contact with the guy in over a decade. This is not some fake woke shit, brothers. NJPW is planning a global expansion and now their name is associated to a nonce thanks to Omega. Not really hard to see how this is actually a big story.
  19. Omega said that he only met Rance once, back in 2004. There is a picture of them in 2016, and the photo's caption mentioned that Kenny introduced Rance and his academy to the original poster. Lovely stuff.
  20. Kenny Omega is pretty much doubling down on this subject. He seems more upset that people are criticizing him than the fact that he didn't check who was involved in the show. And Meltzer also put over both dudes.
  21. I'd argue Nash was even smarter. Getting huge ammounts of money per year PLUS being the head booker is some incredible douchebaggery.
  22. So, it seems Kenny Omega booked an actual registered sex offender (Chasyn Rance) versus an accused domestic abuser (Aaron Epic) for his vanity project. Ok, then?
  23. What Savage said but in further detail Would be nice if they just gave us the BIG GOLD back
  24. Wasn't so familiar with the dude in terms of him being a wrestler, but taking his story and how revered he is in the business into consideration, it's hard not to feel really sad about his passing. May he rest in peace.
