But how can you book them to be underdogs and credible conteders (or contenders at all) if they don't win? I mean, they ARE underdogs because not long ago they were goobers, Miz's lackeys that got their asses kicked routinely including in handicap matches. Them winning is still being treated as some sort of miracle and they are really, really happy when they win, which is something more wrestlers should feel, and is enough reason to root for them.

Axel is pretty meh. I mean, he is in the role he's supposed to be: a comedy lower midcard tag wrestler. Bo was originally a heartthrob face and actually over, until he started being pushed to the main event scene and his white meat babyface persona was... aggravating. Still one of the best heels in the brand's history, though. Also, massively better than Bray Wyatt, including at being Bray Wyatt. Rooting for Rusev but no way he wins this tonight.

Maybe Sam Smith's music soothes the biggest of monsters? Also, the Vaudevillains gimmick was not going to work at all on the main roster. English is doing incredibly well with his current role as Rusev's hypeman, and Simon Gotch could do well with a different role, because he can talk well. But that gimmick... it was Superstars/Main Event tier material.

Yeah, people on Twitter are raving about Kacy a lot, saying she pretty much went from zero to Actually Pretty Good in like 6 months or so. I am HYPED for Kaitlyn, though. She actually had some pretty nice matches in NXT back in like 2013, and to see her again in this really stacked women's division would be so good. Rooting for her.

He still had a banger of a match against >Sin Cara<. In terms of in-ring presentation he's going to be alright.

Croatia played yesterday's game to near perfection. Sterling was, as incredible as it sounds, the most dangerous offensive player on your side, but after the half-time whistle the whole team pretty much stopped playing. Once Croatia got a hold of the game, the fear was pretty much tangible and it was just a matter of time until they got their goals. Southgate did an incredible job with the pieces he had. Hendo being an 1-man midfield worked surprisingly well, and the defensive line was solid despite their fatal mistakes - Maguire and Trippier stood out, not to mention Pickford accumulating miracles throughout the previous 3 games. Still, only being able to score from set pieces was going to take its toll sooner or later. I'd say you guys have a pretty good chance of reaching the semi finals in 2022 - a better chance than any South American squad other than Colombia, at least.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of this particular case, to be honest. They are workhorses and are around for quite a while. Them being the ones to end New Day's title reign was a huge deal, and considering how Sheamus has some physical problems, it's for the best to put them on the shelf for a while. It's not like they don't have programs vs The Usos or Bludgeon Brothers down the line...

Team Hell No is absolutely great and everyone who says otherwise is wrong. As for Cesaro and Sheamus, I think Sheamus is having some time off to heal from ongoing neck problems, and both have to figure out visa issues, too. Basically: they're on vacation at the moment.

I'd also count Paige's career ending injury, too. The problem is that in NJPW you are more likely to see people like Hiromu or Ibushi taking the worst possible bumps in basic moves. There was this one clip of CEO x NJPW where Ibushi took a powerbomb bump to the outside on his NECK, and gave Naito one of the most dangerous German Suplexes ever. That's not mentioning spots that are headdrops by design, or are direct hits to the head. WWE's schedule of being over 300 days on the road surely is shitty for their performers' health, specially when paired with cross training and those overdone "shoulder to the ringpost" spots, but they at least made some effort of toning down the headdrops, piledrivers being the most obvious example. You barely even see a brainbuster in WWE. You can say that the overall wrestling scene encourages that sort of daredevil style that wrestlers like Hiromu, Rollins, Dragon Lee, Omega and Ibushi have, and you'd actually be right. But I think that it's pretty obvious that shoulder injuries (or "busted lips", as Dave also mentioned) are not the same as broken necks or brain injuries. With all that said, I doubt anything is going to change. If Dragon Lee stops doing that Phoenixplex it'll be a surprise to me.

The Big Dog elevating another talent per usual and once again has the hottest feud going on right now. Some things never change. Although I am expecting him to lose to Bob in order to set up Lashley/Lesnar or something.

Are people upset at the content of the promo itself? I thought it was ridiculous because you are inserting a Bellator-tier angle into UFC and like you said, motherfucker is still Universal Champion. Both are making money off of that, I believe, but that is not really a good look. Specially considering how Lesnar pisses hot and will still get a title shot. Unless this all leads to a storyline where he loses to DC, old-school wrestling fan, and loses the title shortly thereafter.
