  1. Not good at all. One of my favorite wrestlers. If something happens with him, then Independent Wrestling would be dead to me. He is the only one holding that ship together.
  2. The Phenomenal Genius strikes again.
  3. This is one of those "get your popcorn ready" type of matches. Love this feud. These 2 legends start off with the highly expected bomb throwing slugfest. Suzuki is his usual crazy self with the evil facial expressions. They spent an significant amount of time just going back & forth beating the absolute sh*t out of each other, Strong Style all the way, until Suzuki changed the direction of the match by fighting dirty. Minoru Suzuki is by far the meanest, most ruthless, & evil pro wrestler on the planet. I love him so much. Nagata finally finds a hope spot by catching Suzuki's kick and elbowing his exposed knee. Suzuki's selling is always top notch, as Nagata works over the arm to set up for his "Nagata Locks". Well timed Rear Naked Choke from Suzuki. Just a brutal match as they go back to trading bombs. Nagata's mouth is bleeding. Nagata crumbles from a headbutt, while Suzuki crumbles from exhaustion. Back to their feet , and the war continues. Exploder Suplex, and a Backdrop Driver Pinning Hold scores Nagata the victory!!! Shocked me as I thought Suzuki was winning. I would not mind Suzuki going Freelance based on that story about him wanting to leave NJPW. He can just travel the Puro Indie Circuit and have thrillers like this all the time. This is one of the best empty arena matches of the CV era for sure. ****1/2
  4. Great match here. Arisa Nakajima is one of the best women's workers in the world. She possesses so much fire & intensity, I call her "The pint sized pitbull". She did an excellent job of working over the taller person, ASUKA's knee, to give herself a better fighting chance at winning this match. ASUKA did a really good job of selling her leg. The Missle Dropkick spot off the top rope from Arisa was really cool, and surprised me a bit. These ladies had great chemistry, as they went back & forth with the killer movesets. and I loved that crazy, ridiculous, funky way of scoring a pinfall victory that Arisa used, thus clutching ASUKA's bad knee so she couldn't kick out, which was based on Lucha Libre. ****
  5. I loved this match as well. Tomohiro Ishii is one of the greatest workers of all time, and he has learned so well from Puroresu Legends, Riki Choshu & Genichiro Tenryu, and it always shows. Of course Ishii is going to approach the match with his usual straightforward, honorable warrior style... that is the polar opposite of El Desparado who is anything but a straightforward honorable warrior. He will cheat, undermine, & weasle his way around anything, thus taking advantage of whatever opportunities present themselves. He did an excellent job of attacking Ishii's exposed knees (to set up for the Stretch Muffler), taking the corner padding off to have another way to weaken Ishii, taking advantage of the referee as he always does. Just a master of shenanigans. Ishii is straight up, one of if not, the best seller in wrestling today, he is so believable, appropriate, and even knows when not to sell as well. The structure layout here was amazing and sucked me right in. Finally Ishii hit the Running Lariat off the ropes, and the Brainbuster and got Despy up out of there. One of the best matches of June 2020 for sure. ****1/4
  6. Eddie was blessed with the eras that he came up in. 90's AAA, 90's NJPW Jr. Division, 90's ECW, 90's WCW, WWF Attitude Era, & WWE Ruthless Aggression Era, even great stuff in early 2000's Indies. Those eras had some of the greatest booking of all time, and he was pushed as a top star in every era of those promotions. He was allowed to be the bright shining star that he was, as he was not held back like soooo many on today's WWE Main Roster. It's ridiculous. His charisma, character work, hilarity, and in-ring work were all way too strong to ignore. The bookers of those eras, such as Paul Heyman, just had their heads on right where they could actually notice that.
  7. I see the potential all over Sammy as well. He is very important to AEW's future, and he is the direct protege of the legendary Chris Jericho as well.
  8. True. That is why at this point, Pro Wrestling Only is the only place that I have interest in talking on the Internet.
  9. AEW Dynamite is sure to win "Best Weekly TV Wrestling Show" from Wrestling Observer, and it's not even close. Cody & Kenny Omega are both Wrestler of the Year Candidates, & Best Worker Candidates. Kenny & Hangman Page (The Golden Cowboys) are the clear cut 2020 Tag Team of the Year. Dark Order will probably win Worst Gimmick.
  10. It will take me quite a while to go back to the 80's and come up with my list, but for the year 2020, I will throw in 12 candidates so far: 1. Kazuchika Okada vs. Tetsuya Naito - NJPW Wrestle Kingdom Night 2 2. Will Ospreay vs. Hiromu Takahashi - NJPW Wrestle Kingdom Night 1 3. Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi - NJPW Wrestle Kingdom Night 1 4. Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. The Young Bucks - AEW Revolution 5. AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan - WWE SmackDown 6/12 6. Edge vs. Randy Orton - WWE Backlash 7. Kenny Omega vs. PAC - 30 Minute Ironman match - AEW Dynamite 2/26 8. Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Will Ospreay - Revolution Pro High Stakes 9. Hiromu Takahashi vs. Ryu (Dragon) Lee - NJPW New Beginning In Osaka 10. Daisuke Ikeda vs. Yuki Ishikawa - wXw Ambition 12 11. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair - WWE WrestleMania 36 Night 2 12. David Starr vs. LJ Cleary - OTT Take Me To Your Leader
  11. Miz & Roman... perfect combination.
  12. I feel that there actually were 2 matches within this past weekend that are deserving of 5 Star ratings in my eyes. This is a MAJOR reason why I want WWE to stay at the Performance Center, they seem to actually care about producing some top quality in-ring action. When I hear that they have pre-taped a match, I now get excited. LOL. The last time that I remember giving a WWE Main Roster match a 5 Star rating was Cena/Punk on RAW in 2013. The closet after that was Cena/AJ from Royal Rumble 2017, that I gave 4.75 to. I would say that Johnny Gargano was the main WWE guy putting on the 5 Star matches up until now against the likes of Andrade, Ciampa, & Cole. But it seems like that has changed for now.
  13. I see "bodyguard" written all over Roman. Wardlow, Diesel, you name it. That to me is why he never clicked the way Vince wanted him to.
  14. Drew McIntyre is everything that Vince wanted Roman Reigns to be. It should have been Drew all along. Drew even has the aura of being "The Big Dog". Roman has the aura of a bodyguard, like how Wardlow is to MJF.
  15. Drew vs. Orton.. the wheels are starting to turn, I feel.
  16. Uh Oh... Not good.
  17. You would have to send Nia to Japan to become a great female monster heel. I see no other way. But I can see the facial expressions & body language.
  18. Asuka & Ronda could carry her. Other than that Nia is channel change worthy.
  19. Nia and the word "good" being in the same sentence is incredible, LOL!
  20. I'll check out Drew's match. He's the man.
  21. Yep, a man who wrestled way after the age of 50 (so many fun & great matches, BTW). Then had one of the most emotional retirement matches ever.. and then went to TNA. Hilarious & ironic.
  22. Legendary booker. As a manager, well, he's one of the best talkers you will find anywhere. Can sell an igloo to an eskimo.
  23. I'll follow along with y'all reports, might watch it tomorrow. Tonight I'm watching that Arisa Nakajima vs. ASUKA match, various DDT matches, rewatch the Go Shiozaki vs Akitoshi Saito match, and finally the NJPW Together Project show.
  24. There was no way that this match would have been done in front of thousands of people who don't react to anything anyway, and they probably would not have been given that much time at all. This match was perfectly laid out, and everything had my full attention. I almost forgot about Edge being away for almost 10 years, and the story about his injury during this match. That is how great I felt this match was.
  25. If Orton had been wrestling like this the whole time, he would have become one of the greatest workers of all time, EASILY.
