  1. Sonny Kiss' performance in that match was tremendous. He made the most out of a chance to perform on television. This is the best thing that Joey Janela can do with himself as he cannot perform in the style of match that he is best at: Hardcore Wrestling. He is in the same boat that Jimmy Havoc was in. Neither one are special as traditional singles wrestlers at all, so the next best thing for guys like them is Tag Team wrestling.
  2. Luchasaurus vs. Wardlow was a lot of fun, I gave it ***1/2. FTR vs. SCU was fantastic. I gave it ****. FTR is one of my favorite current tag teams along with reDRagon/Undisputed ERA, The Violent Giants (Suwama/Ishikawa), & AXIZ (Shiozaki/Nakajima). The Britt Baker/Big Swole feud is hilarious and they have great chemistry. The Chris Jericho/Orange Cassidy confrontation was great. Everything Jericho says and does is gold. Orange Cassidy's nonchalant personality and reactions are also gold. Great brawl to close out the episode. I pray that Renee Young recovers, and that Jon Moxley & QT Marshall are safe. Both nights of Fyter Fest look like straight fire!
  3. This generation of pro wrestling is hopeless. I feel sorry for them. Between the WWE's greed (sucking Independent Wrestling dry), WWE's micromanaged booking, politics, wrestlers working unsafe styles, lots of wrestlers failing at connecting due to lack of charisma, the death of Kayfabe, the existence of Social Media (which has has done A LOT to hurt pro wrestling) an earthshaking pandemic, and now mindblowing allegations... My God... I don't see this industry recovering from all of this. For me it's just Puroresu, AEW, and cherry picked WWE matches. I also have a strong interest in going back and watching wrestlers who have a proven record of career longevity while being top workers the whole time (3 decades or longer) guys like Jumbo Tsuruta, Perro Aguayo, The Funks, Ric Flair, Harley Race, El Hijo Del Santo, Jun Akiyama, Minoru Tanaka, Masato Tanaka, Lou Thesz, etc... Career longevity... something that I don't see many in this generation achieving accept the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Kento Miyahara, Katsuhiko Nakajima, etc.
  4. It seems like it would either be cosmetic surgery on her breasts or her face. No matter what anyone says, Charlotte has been one of the only women in that company that's been holdin' it down (along with Asuka, Sasha, Bayley, Io Shirai, & Rhea Ripley). Her not being there will definitely feel like something is missing to me. I enjoyed her match with Asuka. Those 2 have an unteachable chemistry, and what a great back & forth, hard fought match that was. I gave it ****. When she comes back Charlotte will obviously take issue with Nia Jax, but she will still have issue with Asuka, because Asuka beat her in a "handicapped" state, not while she was 100%. I also enjoyed the Street Profits/Viking Raiders Indie style sprint. The Raiders had many matches like that during their Indie days, and it was cool to see that in a WWE ring. I gave that match ***1/2. WWE needs to stay at the Performance Center. BTW, Dolph Ziggler getting a World Title match on PPV?
  5. Looks like Joey Ryan's new gimmick should be, "refrain from dropping the soap".
  6. With so much trash going on in the industry, I legit forgot all about Asuka/Charlotte. I absolutely love their rivalry. That is a match that I definitely will be seeing. I loved AJ/Riddle, BTW. I gave it ***1/2
  7. Now Sammy Guevara. Man, the future of pro wrestling does not look so hot to me. I will stick even closer to Puroresu, but then when I think of what happened to Hana Kimura... I just don't know what to think.
  8. Gotta admit that I'm still reeling over David Starr (ironically where this all started). He was a guy that I thought was going to wrestle past the age of 50 (he is only 29), as his in-ring style was designed to ensure career longevity, and you blend that together with charisma, promos, character work, etc. The guy had it all in spades... and in one fell swoop it's now virtually all over for him... I know that the devastation from what happened with Chris Benoit should have been a real eye opener for all of us, but still, as a human being, one can't help but be extremely disappointed, & feel let down regardless.
  9. I got a feeling that Will Ospreay might not appear on Twitter hardly ever after this one. If at all really again.
  10. An absolutely brutal affair between these 2 real life friends. They did not even go over 15 minutes, but the sheer intensity & aggression that they fought with, the stiffness of their strikes, and the toughness that they have shined bright here, and the crowd as well as myself was rocking with everything that they did in this match. This is clearly one of Goto greatest matches & opponents, and we ALL miss the assassin known as Katsuyori Shibata. ****3/4
  11. In light of what is going on in the industry, I must admit that I'm still going to watch AJ Styles vs. Matt Riddle.
  12. I would love to see AEW do a Tag League tournament similar to the AJPW World's Strongest Tag League, but the problem with that is American Mainstream wrestling fans don't understand, appreciate, nor have the patience for a 1 month Round Robin tournament I feel. America is not conditioned to have patience at all, and it really would irritate me for such an epic tournament to take place, and then I come across some morons saying "wHEn iS tHiS ThINg gOInG tO eND?"
  13. Been reading about it, yep, NXT UK is as dead as a graveyard. Jordan Devlin shocked the hell outta me. Was a fan of his ring generalship. The Millie McKenzie stories shocked me too.
  14. Now that I think about it, Chris Hero should be back on the Indies. He will be the one carrying Independent Wrestling, and he is more than qualified for that role, being that he is a living legend. After 20 years, I don't think he will let anyone down.
  15. Dark Order winning the Tag Team Titles would be trash & unfitting. FTR winning the Tag Team Titles (in a MOTYC, BTW), as a part of joining Cody's new Four Horsemen, leading to their feud with The Young Bucks, and the overall, Elite (Kenny, Hangman, Bucks) vs. Horsemen (Cody, Spears, FTR) feud makes more sense to me. This could also lead to the "Blood & Guts" WarGames match.
  16. Another heartbreaking moment in 2020 for me... Well, that was the final nail in the coffin for Independent Wrestling. From this point forward it's just Puroresu, AEW, & WWE.
  17. Jericho vs. Orange.. GOLD!!
  18. 4.00 Stars. Tremendous chemistry. Great match.
  19. That pose is hilarious.
  20. Britt has become one of the best characters in wrestling.
