Although I'd say the wins definitely had positive impacts - live crowds weren't going "that doesn't count" when Rey pinned Nash. They were going "Rey pinned Nash!" That's the thing about hindsight, it's always 20/20. In the moment though, it painted Rey as someone who could beat anyone.

Does anyone think Billy Kidman gives a fig that his win over Hogan "wasn't really a win" or whatever? That, given how his career turned out, Billy Kidman wishes he'd that-doesn't-work-for-me-brother'd a win over the Hulkster? Rey curses the day he beat Kevin Nash?
