She was top 10, she wasn't top 10 - we'll never know. But I know Lynch isn't getting voted in/out based on comparisons to Mildred Burke. Burke isn't her competition, nor are others on the ballot. Lynch is competing against the criteria. Unless someone's campaigning to remove Mildred from the hall, I don't see the relevance of including her (or the Crush Gals or anyone else) in the Lynch conversation.

This is pro-wrestling. I want Mildred Burke, the Myth. Mildred Burke, the Reality, doesn't belong. No need to diminish the dead, not even for a "reality-based" pro-wrasslin' Hall of Fame. Yes you want accuracy if drawing is a criteria, but it's always been a nebulous term and attendance figures are wobbly at best, shonky at worst. She "only" drew 7,000 a) could be out in either direction b) doesn't tell me if it was a full house c) doesn't tell me how many people over the years said they were there. Just leave ol' Millie alone. She's not hurting anyone, what with being dead and all. Becky's fair game, given that we have all the evidence available to us in real time. If Becky's sashaying down streets paved with gold, it's because the Burkes and Byerses broke their backs building those roads. Numbers and star-ratings be damned.

Thank-you. I wondered how he could be a locker room cancer if he wasn't in the locker room. "Munchausen syndrome is a rare type of mental disorder where a patient fakes illness to gain attention and sympathy" is the closest I got.

Kevin interviewed about the film by TMZ the other day: Asked if he’ll see the movie, he noted, “Oh yeah, I’ll watch it and it’ll be fun. We’ll all get together, maybe watch it out in the yeard. We do that sometimes, we have a lot of children here. And sometimes we put a big screen up in the yard and we watch movies outside at night. And we’ll probably do that with this one. It’ll be a lot of fun.” Smoke enough Maui-Wowie and even quintuple-tragedies are fun.

Punk, knowing he's injured and about to become yesterday's news / tomorrow's fish 'n chips wrapper, somehow contrives to still -nearly two months later - be even more talked about than when he was wrestling. He's easily #1 most-mentioned here at PWO. Punk returns from seven-month injury layoff? Meh. Like, happy to see him, but we've been here before. Punk returns from the gripebomb? People would "lose their shit' as the kids say. Ratings, publicity, intrigue, MONEY. Money. Money. Money.

I'd argue that without Cornette, the Express doesn't even leave the station. He was bigger than Eaton, Condrey, Rose, Lane, Norvell Austin, Holly, Gunn - either as individuals or as combinations. Cornette occupies a special realm in wrestling which the others never reached.

Alright, who ordered Miz vs R-Truth in 2022? C'mon, put your hand up.

Finn deserves better than babysitting Dom. Or as I like to call new-look Dom, the American Dom Ass.

Pictured: AEW falling apart at the seams. (Out of frame: the sky falling). Lots of budding obituary writers in this thread. I be more of a "swings and roundabouts" fella, meself.

That's the way it should be when watching them on TV. I don't want to know the Iron Sheik is a real person playing a role any more than I want to think Homer Simpson is a drawing. They're Supermen, they're SuperStars, they're SuperPlumbers/Monks/Ice Hockey players - they're not Johnny Kafoops from next door. They can keep the kayfabe-breaking personal outpourings for the anti-social medias and off of my totally legally streams. If ever I give four-fifths of a shit about Ronnie Arnell or Windham Rotunda's turmoils and tribulations, I can follow them on the Twitters.

WWE TV 10/10 - 10/16 Bray Wyatt is if Rob Zombie was a box office hit

@sek69True, I just wish he'd save that stuff for Instagram Facebook Twitter-type media. -

Grateful, tearful, sentimental Bray? Better be a Henry-esque swerve... -
Weren't the Dudley Brothers originally based on the Hanson brothers, with the ultraviolence and taped-up spectacles? Edit: let's not forget Charlotte basically being a distaff Ric.

Your Criteria/Process/Method at the Start of the 2026 Cycle
Dav'oh replied to Matt D's topic in Greatest Wrestler Ever
It's pulp fiction, it's a penny dreadful. To be read and tossed aside. There's always another match, always. I wouldn't say it's not to be enjoyed. Nor that there aren't people who enjoy treating every match as a Shakespearean tragedy, to be analysed and criticised and contextualised and various other "-ised" words. The Wrestling Intelligentsia, if you will. It's all valid. But if you're not enjoying it, what's the point? -
Rebooting the Fiend? No thanks. Once was plenty.

Wrestling is "light without shadows", literally and figuratively, so having a solid shadow in the middle of the Fightpit is really odd.

I read "he cried backstage about getting hit" to mean he complained, had a sook, threw a wobbly. He didn't cry from getting hit, rather about it. It's easy to imagine Andrade saying to a friend, "the litle bitch was crying to TK cos I lit his bitch-ass up in there! The little bitch!" I also doubt any of it's true, so it's a bit moot.

Did the DX blackface "sketch" with Hunter front and centre ever come back to bite him? I saw it the other night and couldn't fathom how such a person would be allowed to run a billion-dollar company.

Your work is amazing. Thank-you for your efforts. Would've been hilarious if you hadn't used commas...

He's a kid from Australia who got to work with Sting and Muta. That's wild. Buddy Rogers. Buddy Roberts. Buddy Austin. Buddy Colt. Who's doubting their toughness because they're called "Buddy"? What's a fucking "tough name" anyway? Kenny? Nick? Ethan? Darby? Seth? Malakai? Zebediah? Connor? Usman? Justin? Khabib? Of course! That paragon of nominal toughness - Roman! Polanski or Abramovich?

He's not dead, y'all Seeing a lot of eulogies for the bloke. This is not how the CM Punk/Phil Brooks story ends. Dude wants a legacy like Bret.

Punk didn't cause any problems. No matter how caustic or inflammatory his rhetoric, and that's all it was, he didn't "cause" Kenny and the Jacksons to do what they allegedly did. He gave an interview expressing his truth with the tacit endorsement of the company's owner. It's the titular EVPs who caused whatever this nonsense is, with their response. On the plus side: Kenny gets more time to heal whatever he hurried back from, Punk gets to heal, Nick Jackson's coccyx (which must be compacted into his sacrum, if not his L3, by now from all those Meltzer Drivers) breathes a sigh of relief, and Tony Khan has mega-money matches on the table, should all parties be amenable to bucketloads of cash. Come to think of it, what problems? Last show was huge.

I think AEW crowds will always be ambivalent about MJF; yes, they'll boo on cue but they'll also laugh and applaud him. Have MJF be the tweener champ getting more and more babyface reactions, and Punk as the nuclear shitcunt who tries to take it away from him. Then Punk/Omega.

Another thoroughly inorganic Tyler Bate match. Dude can't hide the choreography and rehearsals to save his life.
