Just watched this, shit was wild. Basically a French Catch Brock Lesnar match in 1960. Teddy Boy just fucking annihilating Modesto with crazy stiff strikes or the insane over the rope belly to belly, Modesto seems completely dead, gets a few hope spots, Teddy Boy just REKS him again. Teddy Boi is a menace.

WCW was fucking awesome in 1992 though?

There's still a ton of good matches left to have, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me that he'd be able to go many more matches with how increasingly beat up he is. Like...this guy with the broken hand, bad neck, bad back, bad knee to the point where none of his finishers actually finish anymore is going to beat Mox/Omega tier guys without some time off to heal? It's really starting to strain credulity after what like....closing in on 30 defenses? For me the choices that work: Jay White Ricky Starks Jungle Boi Brody King

FTR Hair redefining working yourself into a shoot(ing)

Florida having unlicensed conceal carry without training that also applies to out of state visitors but actually pulling a gun or intimating you might is a felony is....interesting.

I truly hope Roddy just wears the neckbrace forever. Even wrestling. Have there been any rumors for who the mystery partners for BCC might be? I would assume Shota is a safe bet, but the other spot? Chris Hero seems like a guy who would be a good fit considering his history with both Claudio and Eddie, and also was one of Regal's last matches.

Hopefully All Out gets Golden Lovers vs Ospreay/Takeshita and not Jericho somehow finding his way into all that.

Like this is the best looking thing I've seen him do in 4 or 5 matches. Thigh slapping in the 60s. Side note, were the Tolos bros the Young Bucks of their day?

Cyclone/Hurricane Smith might be one of the worst pro wrestlers I've ever seen. Just comically bad and phony.

Lacey's most memorable moment on the main roster was the camera man zooming in so tight on her asshole that Corey was audibly excited, and Renee was audibly disgusted.

So then...Meltzer is the holier than thou one?
-
I still fail to see how just not interacting with the guy is "holier than thou". If they were ignoring his attempts at contact, but going out on TV or social media or podcasts talking shit about him, that'd be a different case. But they aren't. They're just declining to interact with him at all.

Benoit did have a pretty great 1998, with the Raven/DDP feuds, the best of 7 with Booker, matches with Finlay, but missed like 4-5 months in the second half of the year.

Imagine a world where Backlund got to do the Backlund Lift to Andre. On the subject of Superstar, I highly recommend his matches against pre human hot dog Ivan Putski and Mil Mascaras. Both are on the Network/Peacock in Old School.

I've seen a few posts about The Elite (or at least the Bucks) acting "holier than thou" in this situation, and I am kind of confused where that comes from. They've ignored the situation in public and in private, are just declining to work with Punk, while Punk can not stop himself from NOTICE ME PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ME YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE UGLY ANYWAY type shit. Be it be shooting himself into a work, or working himself into a shoot.

How is the head of talent relations getting banned from the building? And why is he the head of talent relations at all at that point? Punk gonna get CD fired so he can take his spot and force the Bucks to interact with him.

Peak KENTA and peak NOAH is wrestling kino. Strangely, his 205 Live run had his best matches under the WWE banner.
-
Yeah well....I like Bret more so I don't care that he's a bitter fuck. He also has actual brain damage so
-
I think Bret has a number of more valid and serious reasons to be pissed at all those guys than Punk does for a guy saying something he didn't like in a promo.

If Naito doesn't win at WK with the stardust press, water we even dune here

AWA stuff got mentioned from time to time in general due to Bischoff's association with it. It certainly became less common over the Monday Night Wars, but still would get brought up for Norton/Hennig/Hall, even Enos/Bloom. -

AWA and Bruno did get mentioned quite a bit in 1996-1998 stuff, though it was usually by Larry himself to put himself over. -
Poor Tana gonna have to add a broken neck and brain to his broken knees. Natio absolutely murdered him with the tornado DDT good fuck.

Those aren't the kind of headbutts I'm talking about. I'm talking about the kind that end strike battles and are usually to the jaw/neck/collarbone area and get a double thigh slap that looks like garbage every time in every company. Although really, all headbutts should be illegal. I don't think there is a single combat sport where headbutts are legal.
