  1. He just gets a new nickname or catchphrase every 3 months and draws attention to "reinventing himself". Still lolling when I think about his NJ run where he just took his opponent's name/look and called it a day. Outside of literally a handful of months, Jericho has been stale and tired since 2002.
  2. Jericho does largely book his own stuff, and regardless of how the feud goes and ends, Jericho is still going to go right into the next feud with more tons of screen time that his partner in the feud won't get regardless because they aren't Chris Jericho. He also kills momentum, so there's that.
  3. Austin vs Savage in 1997/1998 would have been the greatest feud of all time
  4. The most egregious one was the OC feud, where after it was over he actually went on TV and cut promos about how many weeks the feud lasted and how he made OC a main eventer. The same OC who was already probably the most over babyface in the company to begin with, who then immediately went to lose a couple of TNT title matches and then spent the next 6 months mostly on Dark.
  5. I really don't think Jericho has gotten anyone over in AEW except himself. He is pretty good at latching himself to whoever has buzz, tie them up for 6 months of diminishing returns, and then he moves on to the next high profile feud while the other guy does nothing for 9 months.
  6. Could be a liability issue considering D-Von had a stroke not long ago
  7. A very Ewiakian perspective

    AEW TV 12/21-23

Seems pretty fucking ill advised to not heavily, heavily work something like that.
  9. Unmitigated passion to poop on whatever party in any situation and conversation

    AEW TV 12/21-23

Haven't watched Dynamite in probably month and a half or two months, fun show. Not at all excited about Starks being sucked into the Jericho vortex, but the air fryer line was pretty lol. Trios, FTR/Gunns, Shida/Hayter were all very enjoyable professional sports entertainmenting. The Bryan promo and Stokely calling him a raggedy bitch was also lmao. Why hasn't Mox been given the time off he was supposed to take back in, what, May?
  12. Well hey, there weren't any gay/trans people until the 1950s, and cancer wasn't named cancer until the 1700s so it must not have existed until then.
  13. Pretty Ricky would be better off not on TV at all than getting stuck with Jericho bullshit for 8 months.
  14. The Hit Row rehire is the weirdest of all of HHH's rehires. A group that was barely on TV a month, where three of the four were barely trained, and the fourth was their leader and star and now in a different company.
  15. I find it hard to believe that Charlotte is a bigger "star" than Sasha inside WWE or out.
  16. He feels like a guy trying very hard to feel like an old school wrestler, but is all schtick and it is completely one note. There's been no evolution or nuance since the first time I saw him in MLW.
  17. She's probably making more money selling pics without having to take bumps. Great worker.
  18. Yes, that is usually how it works. People do bad things and the people that love them usually still love them despite that. And in the context of the response, it was specifically about Vince personally doing Regal a solid with regards to AEW and his WWE contract.
  19. A lot of people had a father/child type of relationship with Vince. I don't think it is bad or tasteless for Regal to express his deep admiration and respect for Vince as a guy who literally saved his life paying for Regal's rehabs and keeping him employed in the industry he loves for 20 extra years he might not have had otherwise. Regal is clearly very emotional when it comes to what Vince has done for him and should be free to express that without getting piled on because Vince is a shithead. It's not any different than a family member doing something shitty but you don't stop loving them.
  20. Keith Lee catching Shane Taylor like that was the most wtf spot of that nature since Earthquake caught the Big Boss Man coming off the top without even budging.
  21. Very enjoyable show. I think I actually like the vibe and pace of the ROH PPVs this year over AEW shows. Less manic coke energy. Things are taken a little slower, more time to breathe. Ian and Caprice are a great commentary duo. Match wise, enjoyed everything aside from the main event but did pop for the giant swing ending in a tap out. FTR/Briscoes is definitely the only chain match that can stand toe to toe with Piper/Valentine. Just brutal shit. Nice to see ROCKHARD Juice drop the Bullet Club bullshit and work much closer to what made him pop so much in NJ to begin with.
  22. Fucking Darby, man. Do any of his co-workers say "nah man I don't want to do that to you".
  23. A Dave post on his board says there were plans and Miro didn't like them.
  24. IT'S SUPERVISOR TIME What is Kesha Countinghouse doing in the Dark Zone?
  25. I think I'd argue that iwgp tags mena pretty close to nothing, actually.
