  1. Welcome to the 1996 project, @Autistic Dragon I really liked what you've constructed as your roster from the available talent. You know your stuff by adding names like Reggie B. Fine, Sweet Daddy Falcone and Reno Riggins, while Duggan and Roberts fit perfectly as main eventers on that scale. Brian Christopher and Chris Candido were underrated and overshadowed, so it'll be cool to see them pushed. Punisher is a credible big man at the top of the card. The Rock 'n' Roll and the Heavenly Bodies as the anchors of the an established tag division, along with the Moondogs. You've got some seriously hardcore brawlers and wild personalities, it should be a fun read.
  2. W*ING USA trades Stalker (Barry Windham) to WCW for Raven. Also, go ahead and drop Terrible Ted the Wrestling Bear from W*ING USA's roster as I will not be employing that angle any longer.
  3. That was my bad, Jeff. I didn't see Zip on your roster when I complied the roster.
  4. With free agency reopened, W*ING USA brings back Luna Vachon and signs Blue Meanie.
  5. Danielson and Starks was great, I feared for my own life.

    CM Punk Fired

I know FTR just resigned but they're gonna leave sooner than later. Punk and FTR in the NWA seems like a good match to me. It puts the promotion into the conversation. They can say "we are the ones carrying the tradition of Terry Funk," etc. The Cornette audience will eat it up. Punk is tight with Ricky Morton. Corgan has said he is willing to spend big money for the right opportunity. If Billy were to break the bank on a talent, this is it.

Yikes, I didn't know that. Maybe you're right, but I still think I raised a very interesting possibility. Don't forget Cornette was there too.

Billy Corgan is by no definition a conservative, he wanted heat and media exposure for Tyrus. Corgan produced Courtney Love for crying out loud, I would think Punk would be a cakewalk to deal with in comparison.

Oh for sure, easily. This is wild to throw out there but I wonder if William Patrick Corgan has reached out to Punk yet. Both are from Chicago and Billy can afford him.

A lot of this scenario very closely mirrors Shawn (Omega) and Bret (Punk).

That's fair, Cornette is in the wrestling business without actually being in it.

    CM Punk Fired

Punk has friends in WWE: Tamina, Gallows, Kidd, Kofi off the top of my head. Orton and Batista are also Punk supporters. Cena has always praised Punk and thought he was misunderstood. Let's not get carried away here, Starks was on the verge of tears that Punk left.

    CM Punk Fired

Not sure I understand this, the CM Punk business is the wrestling business. Nobody cares about anything else Punk does.

Are we taking bets on whether CP Munk shows up in AEW eventually?

    CM Punk Fired

It sounds like Punk verbally threatened Tony. I'm guessing TK didn't put Joe over because Punk would've taken his ball and went home on the spot.

    CM Punk Fired

A very emotional Ricky Starks was clearly distraught over Punk's termination during the opening of Collision. Starks went off on a fiery babyface promo about starting over again, Big Bill getting sober, and Steamboat came out like, "uh, you whipped me...remember?"

What kind of advice do veterans actually have to offer aside, "slow down, kid."

"You probably have some kind of feelings. I know I do. Despite doing one of these things, he made my job a lot harder five/ten years ago. I don't like the guy, I don't know many people that do, but I'm willing to put business first. He'd probably have to be slapped around a few times to get his mind right." - Roman Reigns in 2020.

Where is Vince on record saying that? Austin's podcast?
  20. Fast tracking him to the main roster gave Solo more of an aura and mystery than the typical debut. We hadn't seen everything already, he was fresh, and he was protected by the booking. It's time to shut down NXT entirely. I'll keep banging that drum. You might say, "what about USA?" then call it another WWE concept show. You got Baron Corbin running around anyways. There is no buzz at all, it has launched nothing but stroke Shawn and Hunter's ego. Waller gained nothing being there, he already seemed stale on arrival. It takes away all of the surprise factor of "who the hell is this?!" like with Sikoa. If I'm Endeavor, day one(ish) I'm flushing the NXT brand. NXT is not connecting with young people at all. Mostly dudes in their 40s watching it. NXT should be rebranded as more of an experimental show and not using Shawn's banal booking. Kind of like what NWA Powerrr started off as but without the nostalgia and retro look, more of an Adult Swim vibe. More of a Firefly Funhouse friendly show.
  21. Solo definitely looks the part and his early success again raises the question to me about the value of NXT and not getting overexposed there.
  22. Onita only had one match in ECW, a six-man with Tommy Dreamer and Sandman vs. The Dudleys. Onita wore some kind of huge samurai monk robe, he is the coolest.
  23. Knight gets a little bit too fired up and botches hard on promos at times.
  24. Crowd was super into Lashley.
  25. This was an excellent point that was raised and I hadn't even considered that possibility.
