  1. Good time for a shill... buy my SD! 6 comp. Judge for yourself if you like that style of wrestling
  2. I think Summerslam was when Brock turned the corner in the ring. His KOR performance was nothing to write home about. In fact, that was a horrible PPV with maybe the worst match of the decade happening on the show. When was the Bubba Dudley match?

  7. On that note, time to release the 2011 MOTYC set. Look in the trading forum today for details.
  8. One thing you have to take into consideration is your emotional attachment to the wrestler involved. If I have posters of Kawada hanging on my wall and a Santo mask, it is easier for me to become more emotionally invested in their matches than someone I don't care about. Personal experience also affects your judgment. Dylan saw the Taker-HHH match live last year and I saw this years match live. We both think our live match was better than the one we watched sitting on the couch. If our seats were reversed, we would probably both be arguing from different positions.
  9. True story... a random guy comes up to us after the ROH show and asks if there are any Florida wrestling promotions that would be interested in using him since he feels he is "outgrowing" the Georgia/Alabama fed he is in. Brent Baker can probably give a better recap but the guy didn't look like he was going to set the world on fire. He gave us his business card and I am debating on if I should post his info online.
  10. If the crowd is chanting for Daniel Bryan the ENTIRE show then that is a sign the company needs to get a clue. That isn't the crowd's fault but the company's fault.
  11. Let me ask again... who is Kyle Matthews?
  12. Don't know how it came across on tv but live, Punk-Jericho worked. The entire match, you had fans cheering in pockets but not the entire crowd until the end. It wasn't a match where huge chunks of fans were going to take a piss or get a beer, unlike the women's match where I had to actually wait to exit the bowl. Everyone I talked to live enjoyed the match for what it was. Glad to see people like Loss and funk enjoyed it.
  13. And if we never see HHH, HBK, Taker, Jim Ross or the Hell in a Cell again then so be it. Good memorable way to go out. At some point, the old guys have to disappear for good so Cena and Orton can be the old guys. Finding another Jim Ross... Never going to happen.

  15. There's obviously a couple of people taking a picture here at the same time. Luckily Shawn can look at both of them. This may be my favorite post of all time.
  16. Rock vs. Cena I took a smoke break for the intros so I was cool with not having to deal with that bullshit. However, the only thing I think may have trumped this as a live experience in the past ten years was Rock-Hogan. Was Rock-Hogan in a dome because I could only imagine the sound if it didn't disappear into the sky. If Rock-Hogan was an open arena then that would be a hell of an accomplishment. Looking back on the night, the matches were shit save for Hell in a Cell, Jericho-Punk and Rock-Cena but I think everyone who goes to a Wrestlemania will walk out happy they went to the show. Dylan can back me up on that one. For those of you who bought it on PPV... Sorry.
  17. Punk vs. Jericho Live, there were huge pockets of chants but never the entire stadium at once early in the match. Taker-HHH had the spectacle prize but this was the best match prize. Crowd got into the last 5 minutes big time. I'll watch this on tape but it felt better than the Jericho-Edge match from a couple years back but the same crowd vibe. Brody's Clay got over huge live. Oh fuck, Cena is getting booed the fuck out of the building....
  18. Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy - a tale of 2 matches live. No one cared about the Booker heat segment but came alive for the big spot-fu ending.
  19. Divas match -smoke break Taker vs. HHH Gotta be here live. The headbutts, the actual match before the big stretch run felt better. The false finishes were not as good as last year but there were points you could see it ending. The thing we agree on here in the stadium is with no blood and no climbing, the Cell was not needed. Enjoyed this more live than I did last year's on my couch.
  20. How did Show-Cody come across on tv? Live, no one gave a shit. However, the heel crowd did start a loud Let's go Cody chant.
  21. Don't know how it came across on tv but crowd did not care about the Orton match for the first five minutes. Huge Yes Yes Yes and Daniel Bryan and Bullshit chants. Orton and Kane was whatever live.
  22. Yeah, we fully expect Meltzer to like shitty matches at this point.
  23. Well fuck, Daniel Bryan got the JBL treatment.
  24. Here is the stadium, sun is behind the big screen so we have a nice breeze coming through. Post your thoughts as they happen n this thread. Three way tag match - fun non-PPV opener with some crash course spots that got the crowd into it.
