  1. Said this last night and I mean it... My prediction is this the best wrestled SummerSlam of all time. I am wtrong all the time so I will freely admit it if I am wrong but I am thinking there could be an easy 5-6 great matches on this show. Tag Team Championship: Prime Time Players (champs) vs. New Day vs. Matadores vs. Lucha Dragons We know we are getting a fun big shmoz spotfest out of this to warm up the crowd. It won't be a MOTYC but I think it could be similar to the Mania tag. Intercontinental Championship: Ryback (champ) vs. Miz vs. Big Show I am not excited about three way matches but I think this could be a fun three way match since none of the guys will have to be in the ring for an extended amount of time. It could also be a complete clustefuck worst MOTY contender if everything falls apart. Lets think positive and say it will be fun. King Barrett & Stardust vs. Neville & Green Arrow I am excited about this match for fun shtick and measuring Amell's performance compared to other celebrity wrestlers. Could be complete crap but another match that could also shock people. Bellas/Fox vs. PCB vs. Team BAD I think this will be the worst match of the night because of the amount of weak links in the match. WWE rings are NXT women's kryptonite so I expect Sasha Banks to have the Match of the Night on Saturday and the piss break on Sunday. Again, I want them to prove me wrong because I want this to be a great show. If they excel out there, it's just another plus for the show. Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose Randy Orton vs. Sheamus US Title vs. WWE World Title - John Cena vs. Seth Rollins It would not surprise me if all of these are good to very good to great. Any one of these could be Match of the Night and steal the show. THe weakest link would be Orton vs. Sheamus which is a feud I don't care about and one that has been done before in the past. The rest of the matches will be contingent on time given and booking. Even if 2 of them are ho-hum and we get 3 great matches, that would be amazing for a SummerSlam show. Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker I am trying to be the ultimate optimist on this one. I gave a 5 minute rant on the last reaction show how stupid it was for Taker to return. I have to believe that the only reason he is returning is because he knows the Mania match sucked, he has some pride and wants to prove they can have a great match. If this match exceeds expectations and we get a good match, I think everyone will walk away very happy. Then again, it could be a shit show like the Mania match and be the equivalent of Taker vs. Faker. I think the build to this has been better than the Mania match and they made me care about broken down Taker in 2015. Props to them. Now give me the payoff.
  2. A couple of more shows to help make you sick of my voice.... Good Will Wrestling: Building the Perfect SummerSlam Will is joined by a couple of Canadians, Dave Musgrave (Wrestling Culture) and Steven Graham (Pro Wrestling Supershow), as we build the best possible SummerSlam. What Intercontinental Title match would we choose? What World Title would be at stake? Which Bret Hart match do we choose? Does Hulk Hogan even make the final card? Listen and find out! http://placetobenation.com/good-will-wrestling-building-the-perfect-summerslam/ PTBN’s Main Event – Episode #41: Biggest Wrestling Weekend of the Summer! It’s party time in Brooklyn as the newest Main Event as WIll, Riche, JD and Ben (oh and Scott’s in there somewhere) break down the three big shows of the weekend: ROH and NXT on Saturday, and of course Summerslam on Sunday. So sit back, and enjoy the banter of Summerslam Weekend on the Main Event! http://placetobenation.com/ptbns-main-event-episode-41-biggest-wrestling-weekend-of-the-summer/
  3. Tag Team Championship: Prime Time Players (champs) vs. New Day vs. Matadores vs. Lucha Dragons - I think New Day gets the belts back especially since there are a ton of face tag teams right now. Intercontinental Championship: Ryback (champ) vs. Miz vs. Big Show - I think Ryback retains after Show punches Miz in the mouth and then gets lifted into a Shell Shock Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev - I think Rusev wins the match but Lana gets over on Summer Rae somehow. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens - Cesaro isn't somebody they are going to protect. OWens wins and then they trade wins for the next couple of PPVs. King Barrett & Stardust vs. Neville & Green Arrow - I am looking forward to this one just to see if Amell can do some fun shit. Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose - If they give these guys 15-20 minutes, this could steal the show and remind us why they never should have broken up the Shield and Wyatt Family in the first place. Bellas/Fox vs. PCB vs. Team BAD - Sasha loses the NXT title on Saturday and wins the match on Sunday Randy Orton vs. Sheamus - Randy Orton wins so Sheamus can cash in later on in the show US Title vs. WWE World Title - John Cena vs. Seth Rollins - John Cena wins the match and holds both titles for a brief second. SHeamus cashes in and gets the World TItle. Cena continues to hold the U.S. title as Sheamus is the new corporate champion. Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker - I am optimistic this will be much better than the Mania match. I don't ever want to see Taker again but I am optimistic for this one match.
  4. 2002 was when i was the least invested in the product and I thought everything was OK but the opener and the main stuck out.

Listen to a fun and contentious discussion and find out. http://placetobenation.com/good-will-wrestling-summerslam-vs-the-bash/

    ROH vs. NXT

That was brought up on the show. If Owens, Sasha, Charlotte and Becky are called up while Zayn and Itami are hurt, that is some slim pickings.
  7. A scheduling conflict prevented Pete from being in the show but I name dropped you on the podcast

    ROH vs. NXT

OK, so WWE is declaring war on ROH. They supposedly won't hire thier talent. They are running shows counter to shows that ROH has had lined up for months (San Antonio for example). They killed off sales for the Field of Honor when they announced the Takeover show. Kris, Dylan and Musgrave tackled this topic on a podcast but I think this topic is bigger than just our podcast. http://placetobenation.com/good-will-wrestling-roh-vs-nxt/ Anyway, if ROH and NXT are coming to your town... which ticket are you buying? Which show would you rather see on Saturday... Takeover or Field of Honor? Who do you think has the better roster?
  9. If they program Brock with Kane, that might be it for me. I can watch other shows.
  10. Did not like Taker just taking Brock out like that. Another insane brawl would have been great.
  11. Paul Heyman is nuts!!! Brock Lesnar could take out Undertaker, The Devil and God at Summerslam.
  12. I could see them going back to the tried and true MITB cash-in with Cena winning, Sheamus cashing in for the World Title and Cena keeping the US Title. I enjoyed the hype for Stardust vs. Arrow. I must be in a good mood tonight.
  13. That's because Rusev is awesome. I was enjoying the HEnry vs. Rusev match while it lasted also. Too bad Henry is a jobber now
  14. If they add rusev vs. Ziggler to Summerslam, it's only going to make the card better. Make it happen!
  15. I like Becky Lynch alot but she needs a new look. That orange hair and Hogan-esque tan is distracting.
  16. I don't think it was a fail. I think it was a risk running a 5 hour show. Keep booking crazy ass matches.
  17. I think it is always built up as an important show that ends up with subpar or unsatisfying results.
  18. Elaborate Mad Dog. I can't tell if you are bothered by our comments or if we made you aware of how it tends to be "just another show".
  19. I think 2 hours is insane but the mass amount of guys in the match makes it easier to digest. I don't know if I would have had any one match up go longer than ten minutes though.
  20. Damn man, if I didn't have everything booked, I would have worked something out to send a couple of guys. Hopefully, your next big show falls in between tours.
  21. You just need to pace yourself. Go slow burn instead of flame out bud.
  22. Had fun helping Phil kickstart his new show. Nobody drops analogies like Phil and he has a few in this show worth hearing.
  23. We'll be releasing the Mr. SummerSlam show this week on P2B.
  24. This is an awesome post. Now, if we can get Johnny to start criticizing the shitty WWE stuff, the transformation will be complete.
