  1. Anton Geesink Dead http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y...=auto&tl=en
  2. This is fantastic. Some vintage fishing. http://twitpic.com/2i6py8
  3. What's Brock's contract status with UFC because I don't know.
  4. Oh this is going to be fun. Paul Heyman to Strikeforce http://insidefights.com/2010/08/22/paul-he...atista-lashley/
  5. I think this is a case where these guys want TNA to live so bad because they know once TNA dies, they will have to grovel and beg for work with Vince again.
  6. Apter said last night that he hasn't worked for PWI in 2-3 years.
  7. Chico thinking last night on the audio interview that Apter still worked for PWI was hilarious.
  8. Interesting to note that the only indy dates that Bryan is being allowed to work are shows affiliated with Sapolsky.
  9. She is a pretty shitty worker believe me. Very careless and all she has is her ass to rely on.
  10. Meltzer said last night that the Heyman telling Vince story was the first time he heard of that one.
  11. Yeah I gotta think that Hero & Claudio (again) may finally get the call soon.
  12. So basically Cornette is booking because what kind of experience does Delirious have.
  13. I'm surprised Ole Anderson's name hasn't come up yet. Ole gets a lot of shit for his later runs in WCW in 1990 & 1993 and even in GCW in 1983 before Jake took over the book but his runs in GCW in the late 70's to about 1982 was pretty awesome.
  14. Another thing was I don't think Flair was too keen on working Japan in general since out of the NWA champs of his era besides Dusty (Dory, Race, Brisco, & Terry) he worked Japan the least now maybe that was due to Crockett wanting to keep him close to home but Flair was nowhere near the level of star in Japan as those four or the perennial AWA champ Bock.
  15. Flair vs. Fujinami, Flair vs. Inoki, Flair vs. Kimura, Flair vs. Fujiwara, Flair vs. Hogan, Flair vs. Andre, Flair vs. Murdoch, Flair working with the Jrs, it could've worked really well. Flair vs. Maeda or Takada would've definitely been interesting as well.
  16. The whole Don Owen/Billy Jack Haynes war of 1988 was interesting to say the least then the eventual grovelling by BJH to come back 2 years later.
  17. I always wondered what it would've been like if Flair was able to work NJ instead of AJ like Dusty did because looking back to me it seems like Flair would've been a better fit for NJ than AJ being that it was more "flashy."
  18. The feud with the Can-Ams put Kawada on the map IMO as Footloose had their best matches with them. The Budokan match was ridiculous with the fans going apeshit.
  19. I think I would compare Flair more to Jerry Rice with the Seahawks & Broncos.

    WON 2010

What about Norman Kreitzer as a candidate
  21. No what made Chael heel to the MMA hardcores is that you had pro wrestling journalists praising Chael as the new pro wrestling savior in MMA. Other guys have done interviews like Chael in the past in MMA but the dickriding was nowhere close to the level we saw the past few weeks.
  22. I started watching puro right around the same time as jdw and I thought watching Kawada early on that he would've been much better in New Japan with his size and style but everything worked out for him in the end.
  23. I wonder if Meltz will go back into Toney's past and watch some of the best interviews in boxing during that era. His feud with Michael Nunn was one of my favorites of the early 90's with Toney going to Nunn's hometown of Davenport, Iowa and putting him out in the 5th round then demanding that the local Klan members come after him. Then followed up by the Battle of Detroit with McCallum who was a member of the Detroit based Kronk Boxing Team led by the honorable Emanuel Steward against the black sheep of Ann Arbor in Toney where they had two great fights that ended in a draw and win for Toney although it can be argued that McCallum won both. Toney then jumped up to 168 and just annihilated Iran Barkley to take the IBF title leading to a fight with Roy Jones Jr. in November 1994 where both men were Top 10 P4P in the world and two of the best shit talkers and lost two fights to him. Toney then had a bad streak for years before his comeback in the early 2000's. I had always hoped thought that Toney after climbing up to 168 would've went to England to face the British version of Toney in the "Dark Destroyer" Nigel Benn. = James Toney's career on blast. = James Toney then eviscerating Jim Gray in one of my favorite post match interviews
