The thing is though the populism deal started with Austin in 1997 and Vince himself has fully acknowledged that....it's the fact that they are so staunch in their ways now that is the problem but back in 1997 they were #2 behind WCW. The lack of competition means they can do what they want when they want because they are the only game in town at that level.

The only real highlights of the show was The Masters of the Universe who are fucking great especially Cesaro looking like Larenz Tate in Dead Presidents and them using that music to end the Cena stuff with Steph being amazing. I knew the show was bad but it was definitely reenforced today when these two fans I work with who always talk about WWE and are deep into it even admitted it sucked last night.

I don't think Cena turns heel either but this puts a shred of doubt into that... The Rollins losing then cashing in theory definitely could happen

I think the Rollins entry into the match definitely adds fuel to the Cena turning heel fire....which I have never believed would happen but the Rollins deal definitely makes me think

How bout having Brock injure Bryan the RAW before the Rumble or something to get him out of the match and to build up their Mania match.

A lot of this stuff is market based anyway.....the Minneapolis crowd was a "smarter" crowd which Reigns has has issues with.

The reason why I'm not really believing the mask deal for Neville is when was the last time they had a non-Mexican in the company wearing a mask on a regular basis and not some screwiness like Mr. America.

To me...the NJPW part isn't the part that would be scary because we all know how Dave feels about them but it's the part about being on the payroll for Jeff Jarrett's vanity project/ponzi scheme that is scarier because we all know that some bullshit will be coming down the pike involving GFW and his credibility reporting about it would definitely be questioned.

From today's daily update I guess those two ads that played last night saying that the match was their FINAL BATTLE didn't resonate.

Dylan will also agree with me that when we did the AWA set there were some really great looking gems from the AWA proper and Winnipeg that were cut in half that would've easily made the set and placed high.

The first one that comes to mind is the Chicago Street Fight Battle Royal from Las Vegas that was on the AWA set circa 1988 with Free for All by Ted Nugent as the theme music.....that match looked fucking amazing

I'd say that Sasha may be the more complete worker right now but Charlotte has a higher ceiling.....regardless Charlotte has been on fire working these big shows and I'm glad that Sasha finally got a chance to shine.
