I thought Lee/Gargano, Priest/Balor, and Kross/Ciampa made this a worthwhile view. I don't think there was anything great on this show, but a few overdeliveries and big individual moments made this better than I expected.

I got a late start on this one, was almost convinced to turn around and pretend it wasn't happening after sitting through that dreadful Code Orange performance (those guys don't always sound that shitty but boy did they sound shitty). This card does not excite me on paper. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/06/nxt-takeover-in-your-house-6720.html

Gimmick isn't really important to me, ring work will always outshine that for me. And I think they're actually a super underrated team. Blake has been a guy who has really shone in house shows I've been to, their double teams are good and they have a couple variations that means they aren't doing the same stuff every match, and both are big bumpers. I think they come off as a slightly more modern version of the Basham Brothers, who were an underrated team during their TV run.

Surprised people didn't like Hardy/Cesaro. I thought it was a real strong Hardy return performance, thought he was moving way quicker than I've seen him in a long time. Body must have healed up a bit. Thought this was a strong pre-show match. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/05/wwe-money-in-bank-mothers-day-live-blog.html

Also why the hell does the Performance Center have a hand chair, like it was filmed in Clarissa Darling's bedroom? Does every building in Orlando just come with one?
-
What we're all missing is that this thing was already edited. There's probably another 30 minutes of footage that was left on the floor. Hidden Gems is going to return and give us the 70 minute version of this.

I skimmed to catch up to where I was at and it looked like a few posts in a row gave similar opinions, that the match was hurt either due to empty arena or two much talking. I agree with you about Charlotte winning, just because Charlotte always gets to win, even when it doesn't make sense in a story.
-
Charlotte says that kind of stupid shit in every match though
-
I'm surprised people haven't gotten into Charlotte/Rhea because of talking or no crowd. I thought it was really strong and much tighter than so many Charlotte matches over the past year.

If tonight comes anywhere close to last night, this could go down as a classic. Not sure what can touch the best stuff from last night, but I'm excited for Brock/McIntyre and oddly Otis/Ziggler. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/04/wrestlemania-36-night-2-live-blog.html Also think it's pretty messed up that Riott and Logan put in such great performances in last month's Chamber, but fucking Tamina is on the card instead of them.
-
The odds of them nailing Bray/Cena to anywhere near the degree they nailed the Boneyard Match have to be extremely low. Two HR in a row on that sort of thing is rare. I'm not optimistic for it, but then again I wasn't optimistic about this one either.

I am looking forward to a bunch of matches on both cards, even though the empty arena hasn't worked for me as a wrestling medium so far. But I'm still going to do live blogs both days. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/04/wrestlemania-36-night-1-live-blog.html Gulak/Cesaro was so damn great, my favorite "short" match of the past couple years. What a performance from both men, Gulak coming off his arguably greatest ever match on the last PPV and then putting on my favorite performance of the empty arena era. Don't even care if the rest of the show blows, because we got that slice of cool.

That felt like one of Paul Heyman's all time greatest promos

I'm really surprised any people were down on the pre-Shayna portion of the women's Chamber, but it's an opinion I've seen here and on Twitter. Riott, Logan, and Natalya were killing each other out there, and it was exciting seeing Riott and Logan both coming off like asskickers after being off PPV for a year +. Their selling was tremendous during the Shayna Red Wedding, loved the Logan lights out sell and both of them got killed on those kneelifts. I thought the only flaw of the match (and it was a big one for me) was that nobody called an audible and worked the time. Shayna out there killing time went on unbearably long, they should have started that clock way quicker.

Started my live blog a little late, but some of that is because I actually went back and watched Gulak/Bryan again immediately after it aired. Gulak has been one of my favorites for a long time now, and I can't think of a match of his I've loved more. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/03/wwe-elimination-chamber-close-to-live.html

Beth really doesn't have a chance to be good on commentary, since Mauro calls every single physical action in the ring in real time, and most of the inaction, she's pretty much left with about 2 seconds of space to ever fit anything in. Thus, she ends up sounding like a Lawler soundbite from an early 2000s WWE game. I don't know if she has a shot of actually being good, but she comes off like someone shouting random things because that's literally all she has room to do.
-
I came into this an hour late but started at the beginning, doing a live blog: https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/02/nxt-takeover-portland-21620.html I am very tired of the Keith Lee/Dijakovic pairing and would very much like to see them work anyone else.
-
I thought that Bayley/Carmella match was really great, even better than Asuka/Natalya from a couple weeks ago. The women's division really seems to all be working to get noticed at once. The handicap match was really good too, although it's silly that Gable has a great match at Rumble with Sheamus and just weeks later is on the losing end of a 2 on 1.

For those interested in more Hector Garza, here's a match from 2010 that I recorded live, with him opposite Cassandro, each of them teamed with a mini (though not of themselves, sadly). It was everything I wanted from what was, at the time, for me, a dream match. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcipye And here's a link to my review of the full show! Ha! I was expecting the same thing. Thought they either needed to absolutely cover Corbin in fake shit, or take a dangerous bump off or onto the toilets.
-
I'm doing a Rumble live blog at SC! I'm actually pretty excited for this card, and the Sheamus/Gable kickoff show opener was a great start. Sheamus looked rusty at first but more than made up for it as the match went on. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/01/wwe-royal-rumble-2020-actually-kind-of.html

Main event was pretty messy, but I liked the energy that messiness added. Asuka came off like a total megastar in that match. She is perfect in this heel run and it will only lead to a potentially huge face run, sooner rather than later. Revival vs. New Day was great, too. But damn was it criminal to cut immediately away from that main event to go to that silly bowling pin spot. Brutal timing on that one.
-
I'm late, but doing a TLC Blog. NXT is doing a house show 2 hours away from me, but I just did not have the energy to drive 4 hr roundtrip on a Sunday. I'm old. But I thought Andrade/Carrillo was the coolest opener in ages so the show is a-ok in my book so far. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2019/12/wwe-tlc-gently-behind-live-blog-121519.html

I've been pausing and flipping back and forth between this and the Niners game, meaning I'm barely progressing through either. But I am writing up the show at Segunda Caida: https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2019/11/late-but-not-bad-wwe-survivor-series.html Don't know a ton about the card, haven't been watching much of the main TV, but I know Lesnar/Rey is happening and I am damn excited for that.

Hell in a Cell 2019 - Card is not only subject to change, but is bound to
EricR replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Didn't know what was on this card before starting it, but those kind of cards seem to sneak up and be actually good. And, on cue, I thought Lacey vs. Natalya was awesome. Lacey has come a long way this year, and they have surprisingly good chemistry. https://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2019/10/wwe-hell-in-cell-10619-not-live-but-not.html
