According to wiki, O'Haire did some indies and Japan after WWE. Interestingly he had a fight in K-1 on 4-30-2005.

WWE.com has been hacked before by TNA fans (not just twitter accounts), so... I guess I depends on how it happened. If a wrestler lifted the password while the TNA tech guy was in the john, it would be embarrassing. I mean...
-
If the the account was hacked or compromised or whatever, why didn't Dixie, Bubba and Eric just say so? Claiming that it's just another fake account makes them look like fools. If the account was really stolen, it wouldn't be their fault.
-
Twitter angle~!

Speaking of luchadores and Dixie. Dixie said in the shoot that at the World X Cup in Houston, one of the luchadores gave her a hotel key. Has to be Ultimo Guerrero.

Noticed at the F4W board. RE: Sonnen: Hmm.

I remember Ashley declared that she would sue RS (and maybe even the FBI?) I wonder how that worked out?

I hate the MMA = pro wres stuff with a passion, but Chael is clearly doing wrestling promos (or trying to). It's still not pro wrestling, but it's obviously directly inspired by it. I don't think Babe Ruth asked Jim Londos for help to get himself over. I was a little confused about the latest WOR. They were talking about some guy who was claiming to be Peter Maivia's son. "That was blatant lie!" Bryan exclaimed. "That's just how business used to be," Dave added with a touch of remorse. But earlier on Dave was marking out about Chael lying about the Lance stuff. "What a great worker!"
-
Dave said Chael would likely get banned forever if he took Roddy's advice. So maybe worse than painting his body half brown.

If it wasn't for geocities getting the axe, I would say AF is about as permanent as webpages get. Especially when you consider that there are still AF pages that have been around since Clinton was president. Hmm, a quick google search finds this: http://www.angelfire.com/ga/careywatch/1st_1997.html

I'm waiting for the attack ad that says something like "Linda McMahon says she wants to create jobs for Americans. But then why she continue ship American jobs overseas? [shows footage of Shemaus, McIntryre, Khali, Kofi, all the Canadians, etc] Peter Schiff understands the plight of American fake-fighters who have been hurt by this policy. Linda McMahon: Wrong for Connecticut. Wrong for America."

The DVD board was hacked (or something) in, I think, 2005, which deleted everything. So the Angelfire page has outlasted DVDVR by about six years so far.

I think the joke was that Turner is nuts not a druggie. But the irony is still there, for obvious reasons.

I was watching Vince's Conan appearance from 1999. This exchange was kind of funny: Conan: ... Now let's talk about a real life foe: Ted Turner. VKM: Ooh! Conan: Who owns the rival wrestling organization. ... You don't like the man. VKM: No, I really don't, but my mom once told me if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, so all I'll say is he's a son of a bitch. Other than that, he's probably not a bad guy, but don't like him at all. Conan: Okay, but seriously how do you feel about him? VKM: I can't stand the son of a bitch! Conan: Stop saying that! Just because the poop dog was out doesn't give you license. [...] Ted Turner has a action figure... VKM: I can imagine. It takes lithium all day [makes an action figure-like arm motion]

Here's the letter. It's referring to Dave's (since abandoned, apparently) History of the WWF series. 'Semi-positive' might have been a little strong, but it's far from virulently negative.
-
I think we can agree that they bought him off, can't we? It could be that he's just really ... confused? In 2004 he wrote a letter the the WON which was at least semi-positive on the WWE. ("As the years pass, I even find myself in some way thankful to the company for that [getting rid of Phillips/Garvin], because it brought truth to all that I said"). This is just a few years after ripping them to sheds in the WP interview.

I already knew this, but in case more proof is needed that politics = pro wrestling: Beat that Chael Sonnen!

RE: Dawn recently admitting steroid use throughout her career; I noticed this in her 2006 Torch Talk: I guess there's some wiggle room, because they seem to be talking about rec drugs (and WWE doesn't consider testosterone to be a drug at all), but still...
-
Speaking of Dawn, I was just reading her Torch Talk from 2006. Eerie, no?

To get this back on track ... Orton, on his twitter, called out James Caldwell (by name) for getting a date wrong. On a thread about it on the PWT board, WK quips:
-
From the 6-7-1993 WON And the 6-8 WON
-
Porn seemed to come off worse in the "Which is more sleazy?" thread, fwiw.

If by astounding you mean bizarre and frightening, then yes.
