  1. I think in Japan: Rings, UWFI and AJW should be ghost promotions, where the talent is only available on short term deals between their tours. In Mexico: AAA and CMLL should be the same as well. ie if you want Rey Jr, Konnan or Pyschosis then you have to work around AAA, like how ECW and WCW did.
  2. I think it should be a request to move up system. If you have run the promotion for 6 months and want to move up, request it and it will probably be approved. Tier A: tv, ppvs, national Tier B: tv, almost ppvs, run in different parts of the country Tier C: tv, run in a territory Tier D: monthly shows only So, ECW, by this model, turns into Tier A in 1997.. so yeah, we'd have to come up with specifics, but it should be possible. Just not right away, and not skipping steps. USWA is not going to be on par with the WWF within a month or anything. By that same token, promotions could get smaller too.
  3. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. Latest Wednesday.
  4. As for strategy. Get 3-4 solid people in tags, strong style, death matches, and women and fill it out with whoever is left. Hopefully some that can overlap a few divisions. The key strategy is to see how to fill out my 5 foreigners in the draft. I already have Mike Awesome, so that leaves only 4 slots for USA/CAN/MEX.
  5. Americans available in Japan will essentially be wrestlers who spent a good amount of time in Japan, People like Hogan, Eddie Guerrero, Steiners are available for Japan. People like Lex Luger and Randy Savage are not.
  6. Yeah... ECWA and RevPro should really be on a fourth tier, I will change that. Why not be able to move up? ECW moved up, ROH moved up.
  7. Rules - The Initial Draft Here is my ideas for rules. I am completely up for modifying and improving them, but this can set a basis. Start Date: September 1, 1995 (September 1, 2016) Following the 1995 calendar, but post on the 2016 calendar. Pre-Draft: 1) You keep the owner and the announcers and other equivalent staff. 2) You get to keep three pieces of talent from the 1995 roster (4 pieces of talent for Tier A promotions). Tiers: 1) Promotions will be treated in blocks, by tiers Tier A: WWF, WCW, AJPW, NJPW Tier B: ECW, FMW, UWFi Tier C: SMW, USWA, M-Pro, Tier D: ECWA, RevPro The Draft: 1) Round #1 will start with a randomized list of the Tier A promotions, followed by Tier B, Tier C and Tier D. After round 1, each even number round will be randomized for all promotions and the odd rounds will be snaked from the previous round. 2) There will be three lists of talent to pick from: The USA list, the Japan list, and the Other list. If you are a USA promotion you can select from the USA or Other list, while if you are a Japan promotion, then you can pick from the Japan and Other list. 3) You only draft 5 talent that was not born in the country of the promotion you control. 4) Roster Size (Includes anyone draft-able ie managers) Tier A: 22-44 Tier B: 18-28 Tier C: 16-26 Tier D: 14-24 (Options to have larger rosters is available for indies big shows and Japan touring companies) 5) Once a pick is made, the person on the clock has 10 hours to pick. if they miss their 10 hours then the next person can pick and the person who missed their pick can insert their pick ASAP. 6) If you pick a tag team you forfeit your next pick. Although, feel free to pick only one member of a tag team. 7) Only Tier A promotions can select wrestlers with stars next to their name. (example Hogan is not going to M-Pro. The Talent and Booking: 1) Keep in mind who your owner is when booking (ie if Giant Baba is your owner, there is no run ins and all clean finishes) 2) Book the amount of shows that you want. If you are a promotion that runs TV, then one show a week is all you need. If you are a smaller indie you can run only a show a month if you want. 3) Try to post shows on the day they occur. Obviously life happens, but it's better to just say "Raw ran this date, nothing of note happened) then to fall weeks and months behind. 4) You can fire anyone at any time. However you can only sign one free agent (or book one for a show/tour) once every 24 hours. 5) If you are a touring company, you can add as many free agents for your tour that no one else can use or get them loaned to you from other companies. 6) If you are a Tier B, C or D promotion, you can add free agents for a mega show as long as they aren't booked out on tours. 7) Every few months there will be a rookie draft where only Tier C & D promotions can participate in. 8) You are limited to having only 35% of your roster consist of wrestlers not born in your home area. Stealing Talent: 1) Since it's the Monday Night Wars, the US promotions will have a stealing system. If a wrestler is not used on TV or PPV for an entire month by a Tier A promotion, then the other Tier A promotion can steal that talent. If that wrestler is not used again for another week the Tier B promotion can steal them. 2) Every month the Tier A & B promotions will rotate through one attempt to steal a talent (ie WCW one month, WWF next, and ECW the one after, followed by WCW again). The player can pick one talent from an equal sized or lower tiered promotion to steal. A die will determine if they are successful or not. If the talent you want to steal is on the same tier and is top 6 for that company, then the player selects one number between 1 and 12. Two dice are rolled if that number comes up, they get the talent. If the talent you want to steal any other talent then the player selects one number between 1 and 6. A die is rolled if that number comes up, they get the talent.
  8. Currently, WWF: I Broke Bruno's Neck WCW: Scarlet-Left ECW: topropepodcast USWA: kevinmcfl SMW: Wahoos ECWA: Boon RevPro: Jesse Ewiak NJPW: SirEdger AJPW: lowblowpodast FMW: Grimmas UWFI: Elliott M-Pro: gordi Every other promotion around near that time is available.
  9. There is a number of options if you want to join up for this game. From smaller indies who run monthly in the USA to bigger promotions in Japan in every style. Post here if you have interest in joining.
  10. Everybody's lists are in. I'm almost done the draft list, so we can start later this week. It looks like people are going to keep their promotions realistic, which is great. One rule I'm going to throw out there is that Terry Funk has a 4 month limit on keeping him in your promotion. Then you have to give him up to free agency, otherwise it seems wrong. FMW has no direction know, due to Onita leaving, so I have some figuring out to do. Probably going for a variety show with death matches, women, juniors, and strong style wrestling.
  11. What's wrong with that? I'm sure he knows some stuff about supplements, or at least would look like a good spokesman for them. Also, what do you know about his knowledge in self help? The guy could be very motivational and help people, why would you scoff at that when you know nothing about him? Maybe he would stink at those, but if he is considering them he must have some idea bout them.
  12. How much of these guys have you seen outside of the Cruiserweight Classic? That is a pretty bold statement that just isn't true and I love both guys.It doesn't matter. I'm the audience that needs to be impressed and Sabre thus far has been awful and Gallagher has been great. And apparently Sabre has been told to work as a heel from management so that might work cause he's completely hateable. After seeing one match of these guys you can not say that one is a hundred times better than the other.
  13. I love it! That's exactly what I want to hear out of this project
  14. I am going to make certain wrestlers only draftable in certain tiers
  15. Road Warrior Animal is out with the same Lloyds deal.
  16. So.. all the protection lists are in. I'll work on draft list, but in the meantime... Everybody cool with the rules? Any ruling on joshi and shoot style? No pure promotions being controlled by humans for them, which means if any Japanese promotions wants to have a women's division (FMW already has one) or use shoot style guys, the talent is unlimited. Should maybe AJW and UWFI or RINGS be ghost promotions or let them be free agents ready to go anywhere? People on sabbatical like Warrior, Rick Rude, Hennig, Piper, Onita should they be undraftable or let them be drafted, but if they are injured they can't return till then?
  17. If he's anything like me, he might have made his protections with a plan in mind rather than just going for the four best workers or top stars. Well Hogan and Bret are the two I am most curious about where they end up. As for the game, FMW is in a weird spot, so its cool for me. Onita is on sabbatical and the new owner took over in May wanting to get away from death matches and focus on more sports entertainment. Really allows me to go in any direction.
  18. Saving Sid over Bret Hart seems insane to me....
  19. Perfect saves. Making list now, but if someone worked regularly in USA and Japan then they will be on the both list. We can discuss some individuals once I post the list if there is questionable choices.
  20. Injured, returns to in ring in November. Will be up in the draft, but injured from in ring till November. EDIT: What Scarleft-Left said. So, He's in ECW then? Hadn't debuted there yet, just left WCW due to being fired due to injury. Doesn't show up in ECW till October.
  21. Some have easier choices than others (mine was simple). The draft should be fascinating to see what people focus on.. Also to see where Hogan ends up (AJPW, NJPW, WCW, or WWF) or goes undrafted and just appears on big shows as a special attraction.
  22. Injured, returns to in ring in November. Will be up in the draft, but injured from in ring till November. EDIT: What Scarleft-Left said.
  23. Three for you Boon. 4 is only for AJPW, NJPW, WCW, and WWF. 3 for everybody else.
  24. By the way, FMW saves Hayabusa, Masato Tanaka, and The Gladiator!
  25. Quick people announce saves, quicker I can make draft list and the quicker we can draft. Which gives people more time to plan before September.
