  1. Actually... we haven't finished the first round you would vote in.. you can be added. The only talent you would start with is owner Danny Davis, but if you want in the draft to build a roster you would be a Tier D promotion, I can add you to the last pick of each round. Read the rules and see if you want in and I will place you there.
  2. Owen really is the best case Candido. Sooooooooooooooooooooo glad you didn't pick Sabu, by the way! EDIT: Sabu was always my target and just the perfect fit to go with Hayabusa, Gladiator and Tanaka. Bring out the barbed wire folks!
  3. Shoichi Arai is seen handing Paul Heyman an envelope backstage after Heyman's pick. Arai does not notice the camera as he approaches the podium to make his announcement. *translated from Japan Before I make our pick, I would like to announce the Grand Slam tournament throughout our tour in September. With the FMW World Brass Knuckles Heavyweight Title vacant (Arai points to the title on the podium) we are announcing a round robin tournament that will determine who the new champion will be. Now, FMW has long been known as the best hardcore wrestling promotion in the world. To continue this tradition, we would like to invite some of the most savage wrestlers worldwide to compete with the likes of Hayabusa, Masato Tanaka, and The Gladiator. With that in mind we would like to announce our number one pick! The lights go out and when they turn back on... Sabu is on the podium. Sabu points to the ceiling then turns around and points to the title belt and mimes that it will be his come September.
  4. Pardon?
  5. By the way ECW is up next and they will essentially be making my pick for me. Can't wait!
  6. True, but that's missing the point. In 1995, Austin was not this blue chip future star. He was a basic mechanic. Picking Austin this high would be like doing a draft now and picking Sheamus in the first round. Sheamus actually would be a better pick, due to actually having years on top. He was more then a basic wrestler. His run with Pillman and his singles work was awesome. He could really go in the ring. He feel out of favor with the decision makers in WCW and his push stopped. Still don't see how he differs from Sheamus today at that point. Without using his ECW run and future WWF runs it's really a huge stretch. Remember he was let go and WWF didn't even attempt to pick him up for months. That's how big of a commodity he was. Either way, we are all allowed a few ridiculous things, as long as it's not all ridiculous. Steiners pick up makes complete sense. Can't wait for Sid and Taker vs Steiners feud!
  7. Are you doing a Junior division or NOT????????????? Yeah I have a junior title with Dan Kroffat. I just have to get the right pieces... AJPW had a junior title so I plan to keep up with that. Cool. Yeah, they had the title but didn't really do anything with it. Bringing in Eddie shows you want to try, which is awesome. Just means I probably will not worry about it, too many people using juniors.
  8. Are you doing a Junior division or NOT?????????????
  9. Steiners going this high makes me happy. Hopefully they have a better second run, then their first run in the WWF.
  10. Essentially AJPW is actually going to focus on Junior Heavyweights, which means the FMW Junior Heavyweight Title will remain vacant as FMW is not going to have a separate Juniors division. Too much competition with M-Pro, NJPW, and AJPW joining in.
  11. Vince and Bischoff both thought nothing of him. Heyman thought something of him, but probably more out of friendship. Still, that seems like a pick that would only be made with hindsight. That said, if that is the only ridiculous pick we are good (outside of saving Sid over Bret)
  12. Yeah, as long as they aren't booked elsewhere by bigger promotions for tours and stuff.
  13. Love it. I think I know where Hashimoto is going then.
  14. Staying with NJPW guys, smart. Surprised he's picked over Hashimoto though.
  15. 3 hours left on the clock for NJPW, if they do not pick by then. WWF can swoop in and pick next and NJPW can pick whenever they realize it's there turn.
  16. Awesome, we might need Devon Storm to come in and get power bombed to death by The Gladiator!
  17. Planning away and it looks like FMW runs two weeks on and then two weeks off. Those two weeks they run about 10 or so shows. I'm not going to run 10 shows in two weeks, it's just too much for me. Even if a lot of them would just be results. Going to keep with the touring format (FMW has no TV, so tours are the only shows), but I may go with less shows over more time. Maybe 9 shows in 3 weeks and then two weeks off. Something along those lines... just for my sanity. One cool thing is the main title is up in a round robin tournament in September, so that's an amazing starting place for me.
  18. Yeah, Austin really wasn't a hot commodity in late 1995. It was the ECW run in October/November that made people think he may be worth something.

  20. Austin isn't going to be a ringmaster or 3:16 in my version. It's not what you are doing with him, it's the fact Steve Austin would be such a high pick in September 1995. Nobody would pick him that high, especially with such talent on the board. Whatever you do with him though, remember he is injured and can't wrestle till sometime in November. Austin could do other things until then, correct? Promos, but too injured to wrestle.

  22. That's is true. Try to stay within realism as much as possible
  23. M-Pro needs all juniors. NJPW is big on Jrs. FMW had a Jrs division, but never focused on them, so I may have to just cut my loses and ignore them. UWFi had Sano as a centerpiece. AJPW had Jrs but never did much with them, so they may cut their loses too. It will be interesting, juniors are a big wild card in Japan. Especially if WCW wants to go with cruiserweights six months early too.
  24. Stay away from fat and death match guys and I will stay away from shooters. Deal? FMW is in flux at this point with Onita leaving and Arai wanting to focus more on sports entertainment then death matches.. so yeah, I have a bunch of ideas out there, not sure where I am going.
