  4. I think there is a difference between trying to see everybody and making sure you are seeing the most highly pimped top guys.
  5. I agree with Dylan favourite and best are different things. It's ok to like things that aren't good, just admit it
  6. Everybody is welcome! It's all about discussion and discovering new guys! Glad you all enjoyed the show and damn those Will hypotheticals were driving me crazy in a great way.

    Schedules

Since I decided to run in all the OHL towns and my main arena is the home of the Maple Leafs, scheduling from October to April is going to be a challenge. Is anyone else taking into account sports teams scheduled games while making their schedules?
  8. I'll wait for your report, but I know you mentioned Chip Day before. Brief thoughts on him?
  9. Quick hits on these guys Dylan because I don't know many of them.

    Bret Hart

The seriousness of Bret Hart is a lot of the appeal to me.
  12. http://placetobenation.com/this-week-in-wrestling-for-july-11-2015/ Pete, Steven & Johnny are back for the 2nd episode of This Week in Wrestling! The show takes segment one to look at Andre the Giant vs Harley Race from NWA Classics, EVOLVE 45, ROH TV, CZW and CJ Parker and NXT TV. The second segment goes international with Lucha Underground, Rey Mysterio in AAA and TripleMania and a quick look at New Japan and Ishii-Makabe. We end the show looking at the WWE including Raw, Smackdown and the Dusty Rhodes special.

    Sean Waltman

I hope people give Waltman a chance. His early pre-WWF run is better than you would expect in working a variety of styles. He was a highlight in his WWF run, wasn't very good in WCW, and then was really good in the WWE again but had the "X-Pac heat" shit going on. Everytime I watch a Waltman match I am amazed at how great he is in controlling the crowd through timing of hope spots and comebacks.

    Pat O'Connor

What are the matches to watch for O'Connor. Will was hyping him on the Super Show the other night, so I need to watch more.
  15. Tajiri makes my list with ease. One of my all time favourites as he just oozes a strange charisma. Being the best wrestler in the USA in 99/00 helps his case a lot, plus the other awesome matches he was able to have through his career. I love the selling, the kicks, the whacked out submissions, the facial expressions, the mist and the fact all of his matches just feel good to watch.

    Anybody?

    Buzz Sawyer

Is there enough footage to justify Sawyer?

    El Samurai

This is a guy who looked like his dives hurt more than they were pretty. He was an insane bump freak during the J-Crown run too. Loved the Liger and Ohtani matches. I may have to re-visit him as I wasn't considering him, but I am a big fan.

    Naoki Sano

Does he have anything outside of the great Liger feud to justify him on this list?
  20. Valentine was really really great when he made tape from 83 onwards. There is an issue with a lack of footage and no tape of his real prime (except maybe vs Backlund). The stuff we do have is enough to easily make my list and do well on it. I'd have him above DiBiase.
  21. Links please. I want to watch a Rey/Eddy vs MNM super long match as well as a WWE ECW arena show to see how awesome and bad they would be respectively.
  22. Thanks JAC, glad you approve about our promoting in Halifax. Sorry that it was a heel heavy show where all the babyfaces lose. Next show we will guarantee you a happier show for the fans.
  23. The new NWA Canadian Tag Team Champions are Ivan Koloff and The Super Russian. Jack Tunney will address this issue on the next television show. Alexis Smirnoff was supposed to be Koloff's partner, but he tagged with the masked Super Russian instead. Koloff claims the Super Russian is still Smirnoff, he just chooses to hide his face from the ugly Americans. The other bit of confusion is Don Carson. Carson appeared as the Russians manager during the tournament and helped the Russians win the belts. Carson was allowed to be in Valentine's corner during the Canada Cup, but that was discussed with Tunney before hand. Carson appearing and helping The Russians during the tag team tournament was a surprise to Tunney. What will Jack Tunney say about the tag team champions on "Wrestling Night in Canada" this Sunday?
  24. Maple Leaf Wrestling & International Wrestling July 11, 1983 at Halfiax Forum in Halfiax, Nova Scotia 1. King Tonga vs. Tony Ricco Ricco started hot, but Tonga was an absolute buzzsaw after he got fired up and put Ricco away with a thumb spike. Winner - King Tonga @ 5:14 2. Leo Burke & Stephen Petipas vs Rick Martel & Tony Garea (NWA Canadian Tag Team Title Round Robin Tournament) A baby face match up with Garea and Martel working subtle heel. Burke gets the win with the sleeper on Garea. Winner - Leo Burke & Stephen Petipas @ 18:01 3. Ivan Koloff & Super Russian vs Rick Martel & Tony Garea (NWA Canadian Tag Team Title Round Robin Tournament) A full on southern tag match with Martel working the face in peril. After Garea's hot tag and dominance he is left alone in the ring with Koloff. At this point Don Carson appeared at ringside and distracted Garea. Super Russian gets a chop block from behind leading to Koloff rolling him up for the win. Winner - Ivan Koloff & Super Russian @ 14:21 4. Rene Goulet vs. Tonga John Even watch with Goulet countering John's brawling with technical wrestling until he couldn't take it anymore and started brawling with the big Tongan. Tonga John hit a running big boot after Goulet ducked a clothesline for the win. Winner - Tonga John @ 9:54 5. Gilles Poisson vs. Dave Kochen The bigger Poisson was quickly subdued by punches from Kochen, but used his weight to elan on Kochen and force a rope break that Poisson took advantage of. Poisson cheated several times to swing momentum back in his way, but Kochen was able to get some momentum going and put on the abdominal stretch for the win. Winner - Dave Kochen @ 11:33 6. Mr. Saito vs Ben Bassarab Basarab was a fighting young lion, but gets beat be the Saito Suplex. Winner - Mr. Saito @ 12:16 7. The Midnight Express vs. Raymond and Armand Rougeau Armand got himself into trouble chasing Rose into the wrong corner after an early rush and took a vicious beating from the Midnights. Raymond made the most of Armand's eventual tag, but couldn't keep wrestling one on two and the Midnights put away Armand with a combination second rope powerslam/running legdrop. Winner - the Midnight Express @ 14:48 8. Ivan Koloff & Super Russian w/ Don Carson vs Leo Burke & Stephen Petipas (NWA Canadian Tag Team Title Round Robin Tournament Decision Match) Don Carson was the difference maker in this one helping the Russians cheat their way to the titles when the Super Russian puts Petipas in the figure-four for the submssion win. Winner - Ivan Koloff & Super Russian @ 15:01 Ivan Koloff & Super Russian win the NWA Canadian Tag Team Titles
