Take away the ring and this looks like one of my backyard shows as a 19 year old.

Quite often while going through this yearbook i think to myself that I should just write, "Ditto what Chad said." We always seem to be on the same page.

Yes. The under card is killing it here while the main event scene is an utter disaster. Good segment.

In hindsight, Hogan not listening to Mack-10 in 1998 is as uncool as Nash listening to Mack-10 in 1998. I think he sees the writing on the wall here and is just collecting a paycheck.

I think these leads to something with Magnum Tokyo, but I could be wrong.

Didn't I hear someone say that Vince had to be talked out of actually going? Anyway, definitely knee jerk reaction to the fall in ratings and the only great DX segments in its history. I will say I was a "mark smark" for this segment in '98 though.

Good promo by Savage, but I'd rather watch Val Venis vignettes than this match.

It's like you can read Bret's face saying, "Maybe Vince isn't so bad ... " Bret is the shits for the rest of his career.

Another home run segment with Vince and Foley. This will be the last good character work/matches Foley would have until January 2000 HHH feud.
-
I wish this was pro shot because the way it is presented really takes me out of the action. This will definitely require a re-watch because, while I thought it was good, I wasn't blown away like others. I did notice how good the heel team was at being heels as it truly did stand out. Maverick's "Thug Life" and "Hardcore" written on his tights seemed so out of place.

Reading the reviews that preceded me here had me like Daniel Bryan, "Yes. Yes. Yes." Another amazing segment.

Every single aspect of this worked. Foley and Vince were especially great. One of the best Raw segments of the year.
-
Bischoff: "When you guys go out there ...." Rick: "Don't worry, we are professionals." Scott: "yeah, we'll just wing it." segment shits the bed.

DDP may be WCW wrestler of the year for 1998. Good brawl.

Agreed. Also funnier than any DX skit so far this year with the possible exception of them invading WCW.

This is an area where WWF always out did WCW. Lame. They only get more so.

As a 19 year old, I thought these guys were cool. As a 37 year old, this is some of the saddest stuff I've seen this side of DX. Nash quoting rap songs in promos feels more forced than if Cornette were to quote them in his.

Brian Christopher is equally annoying in both his obnoxious heel WWF role as well as the baby face ace role here. Wow, is BJT out of shape here. I didn't like this even though Memphis is one of my favorite styles of all time.

Pretty much what was said here, I found it odd Kawada took about the last 15 minutes of the match and Misawa got no offense in. A good match,

The thing about DDP Yoga is that it also incorporates Yoga and nutrition + the positive message. He's not just a guy talking on a stage to a group of 1,000 people who are lost in life.
