Pacific Coast Wrestling Seattle Showdown from the Kingdome, Seattle, Night Two 2/3 Falls Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) vs. The Sin City Superstars (Mark Starr & Reno Riggins) The second night got off the ground with a hot tag team rivalry. Ever since their arrival in the Pacific Coast Wrestling, the Dreamboats have been bedeviled by the Playboy Club, usually some variation of the Sin City Superstars. It has all been building to this match, when both teams would go at it over two out of three falls. Trisa Hayes was clearly not about to take any crap from anyone, so Tina Ferarri simply stayed in her corner and scowled, and the action was mostly kept in the ring. Both teams tore into each other with incredible ferocity, and were going full throttle from the get go. A low blow from behind on Dreamer by Starr set him up for the Reno-Plex (Cradle Suplex) and that gave the first fall to the Superstars. With the count one fall against them and Dreamer wobbly legged, the Dreamboats had to dig in, but battled back hard. Dreamer was able to lock Starr in the Dream Weaver (modified Sleeper Hold) to force him to tap out, and the match was all even. That was the inspiration for the Dreamboats to kick it into a whole other gear. They turned the tide for good when Dreamer planted Starr with a DDT. While Dreamer dropkicked Reno off the ring apron, Shane went up top and hit the Glamour Profession (top rope flying elbow smash) to score the deciding three count. After a tag team war, the Dreamboats had come out on top. Tony Atlas vs. Steven Regal Upon his return to the West Coast, Tony Atlas made it clear he was out to make an example of Steven Regal, costing the Englishman the California Title. Regal went into a bit of a slump after that loss, but has used his desire for revenge to energize him. Regal came in on a roaring rampage and Atlas seemed initially taken aback, but soon got right down to business. Both men were a mess of welts as the match went on, with them hitting each other as humanly possible. It looked about to go to Atlas when he hit his dreaded piledriver on Regal. One … Two .. NO!!! Atlas couldn't believe it that Regal was able to get his shoulder up. Atlas hauled him back to his feet and hit another piledriver. This was enough to get the three count, but Atlas' post victory posing was interrupted as he stared agog while Regal used the ropes to drag himself to his feet and beckon him to come at him again. Atlas looked about to go after him and do some more damage, but the ref threatened him with a fine, and Atlas stalked back to the locker room with a sneer on his lips. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) With the competition in the PCW tag team division being as stiff as it is, there is always a danger for teams to get lost in the shuffle. The Suicide Blondes and the Fighting Irish are both far too feisty to settle for fading into the background, and were determined to make a case for themselves as title contenders. Both duos pulled out all the stops in a fast paced match that was still going strong after 15 minutes when the bell rang, signaling a time limit draw. If nothing else, these two teams proved that they should not be overlooked. Brian Lee vs. Dennis Condrey One of the more surprising returns of the last while has been that of Dennis Condrey, both to the West Coast and to the employ of James E. Cornette. After helping the Midnight Express the Golden State Tag Team Titles over the Rainbow Warriors, Condrey has proved incredibly effective as the point man for Camp Cornette. Brian Lee, coming off his big victory over the Undertaker at Vegas Vengeance, initially didn't seem to be too concerned with Condrey, on the verge of dismissive. Big mistake, as when the action spilled to the outside, Condrey goaded Lee into attempting a punch, only to dodge out of the way and send Lee's fist into the corner post. Lee was in considerable pain for the rest of the match, particularly when Condrey kept attacking his hand, and the Prime Time Slam was effectively neutralized. This left him prey to the Full Nelson Facebuster , giving the win to Condrey. Cornette's men came out of Seattle Showdown at a perfect two for two, speaking well for Cornette's reputation as a dangerous mastermind. Brian Pillman vs. Mike Awesome The towering Mike Awesome played a big part in Flyin' Brian losing the Pacific Television Title, and was clearly looking for some payback. Awesome attempted to intimidate his smaller opponent, but Pillman was fearless in being willing to throw down with him, reddening Awesome's chest with wicked chops. Pillman was able to knock awesome out of the ring with a dropkick, then dove outside and crashed into him. The two kept slugging it out until the ref had no choice but to count both men out of the ring. Flyin' Brian is back and not going to take it any more. Scott Hall vs. Big Juice Scott Hall has some incredible momentum on the west coast, having run Curt Hennig out of the promotion and rolled over the opposition since then. The popular Floridian kept that roll going through Seattle Showdown, outmatching the Wild Things member Big Juice and pinning him following a spectacular move called the Everglades Driver (Niagara Driver). Hall continues to be the man to beat in PCW. Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) The, ummm, rise of Phoenix Rising coincides with a decline in fortunes of the Oregon Wrecking Crew. While the Japanese team have found their mojo and pulled out some impressive wins, the OWC have had to deal with injuries and the attention of the Triangle Of Terror which have culminated in their once fearsome reputation becoming tarnished. Both seem to come into play, with a banged up David Young getting cornered by Phoenix Rising and the Triangle showing up at the back of the arena and observing the match. Despite the OWC's best efforts, Sasaki took Young down with a one armed shoulder throw and forced him to tap out to the Strangle Hold Gamma. After the end of the match, the Triangle could be seen whispering to each other and nodding before returning to the locker room. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. Maxx Payne Seasons change and wrestlers come and go , but "Playboy" Buddy Rose always finds his way into a position of prominence in PCW. Reigning as Pacific TV champ, Rose has seen off a variety of challengers with his blend of cunning and ruthlessness. Big Maxx Payne certainly was an impressive opponent, landing some bruising blows nearly getting Rose in some painful submission holds. Rose was able to keep one step ahead of Payne long enough to spring his trap. He seemed to be reaching out to get something from Tina Ferrari when the referee went over to chide Ferrari and order her to step away from the ring. While the ref was thus distracted, Scotty The Body dashed out and hit the Body Shot (DDT) on Payne. Rose then landed a running splash, and when the ref turned around, he made the three count for the champ. Just goes to show you, there are many reasons why the Playboy is still the King. Bret Hart vs. Chris Adams From the moment he returned to the West Coast, Chris Adams has had it out for the Hart Family, evening running the younger brother Owen out of the promotion. Bret was out to avenge his brother and held nothing back. Bret was savage in his attacks on the English Gentleman, seemingly looking to break him in half. Things took a dramatic turn when Bret's pupil, Steve Austin, came down to ringside and watched the match. Bret questioned him as to why he was there, but Austin simply shrugged and grinned, applauding whenever Bret made a big move. Then, when Bret was running the ropes, Austin reached in and tripped his mentor. Bret stumbled and tripped into the mother of all Superkicks from Adams, knocking the Hitman cold and leaving him for Adams to get the pinfall. The fans were in shock as both Austin and Diamond Dallas Page raised Adams' arms in victory before quickly retiring to the locker room. Something is clearly rotten in the state of Washington. Pacific Submission Title Match : Billy Jack Haynes © vs. Dean Malenko Haynes came into this match with his shoulder heavily taped from last week's attack from the Triangle Of Terror. This was not a good omen for his chances, as it meant that it neutralizes not only his dreaded Full Nelson but also the bulk of his power offense. True to the Shooter's nickname, Malenko focused his efforts on attacking Hayne's damaged shoulder, shooting away at it until he had Billy Jack set up for the kill. Haynes did what he could, but eventually he was at Malenko's mercy, of which he had none. Malenko hit a nasty single arm takedown, then trapped Haynes in the Jujigatame (cross armbreaker) until the champ screamed his surrender. Haynes was clearly in agony as he hobbled from the ring. The day of Billy Jack is done, and the age of the Iceman has begun. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Stormwatch (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) © vs. The Can-Am Express There have been several incredible tag team matches so far at Seattle Showdown, but the best was saved for last. Both teams are coming off big wins at Vegas Vengeance, with Stormwatch having defeated the Destruction Crew for the Pacific Tag Team Titles and the Can-Am Express having gone the distance and won the annual Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament. Both teams were riding high on their own waves of success, equally determined to come out on top. The result was a technical tag team classic. Move and counter move, hold and counter hold. The teams wove a spell , keeping the fans rapt with attention for every big move and near fall. They battled to the point of exhaustion until Lafon hit a spinning back heel kick on Porteau into a German Suplex by Furnas, giving the match and the titles to the Can-Ams. Furnas and Lafon had triumphed, but both teams had given it their all, and got a standing ovation from the fans for their considerable efforts. Cage Match For The Pacific Heavyweight Title : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Genichiro Tenryu The last match would be incredibly difficult to top, but if anything could, it would be this one. These two warriors went to an epic 30 minute time limit draw a month ago at Vegas Vengeance, so the natural next step was to put them in a cage to settle their difference. The stage was set for an out and out war, and that was what was delivered. At one point, a jarring battle of chops occurred between the two, and every blow echoed around the Kingdome like a gunshot. Tenryu managed a crushing series of suplexes that took the wind out of Steamboat's sails, but the champ was able to rally and get back in the fight. Steamboat threw a lot of high flying moves at Tenryu, however the Japanese legend just kept coming back after him. Both men were rendered bloody by impact with the cage, yet they still found it in them to keep on going. It seemed like the night would belong to Tenryu when he had Steamboat set up for the Enzuigiri. At the last second, Steamboat dropped down and Tenryu went crashing to the mat. Slowly, Steamboat started to climb the ropes. But he didn't stop at the top turnbuckle. He kept going until he reached the very top of the cage and turned to face Tenryu in the ring. When Tenryu staggered to his feet, Steamboat came off the top of the cage with a death defying Diving Crossbody. One … two … THREE!!!! The crowd roared as the Dragon pulled off the seemingly impossible and beaten the seemingly unbeatable. He bowed and shook hands with Tenryu, who took his loss with grace and dignity, then held the Pacific Heavyweight title belt over his head in victory. There can be no better image to go out on after an incredible two nights of Pacific Coast Wrestling action.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Seattle Showdown from the Kingdome, Seattle, Night One Wings Of Fire (Vic Steamboat & The Eagle) vs. The Miracle Violence Combination Pacific Coast Wrestling kicked off their Pacific North West Mega Show with a new team making its debut. With the departure of their previous partners, Vic Steamboat and the Eagle decided to combine forces in the new team of Wings Of Fire. They were certainly facing formidable opposition for their first match together, but showed considerable coordination and teamwork for their debut together. That said, for all that Wings Of Fire did a good job of keeping out of the range of much of the MVC's offense, whenever Williams and Gordy landed their shots, the effect was devastating. When Williams caught the Eagle coming off the ropes with a powerslam, Gordy intercepted Steamboat and the ref made the count. Although it was a strong win for the Triangle Of Terror members, the new team of Wings Of Fire had nothing to be ashamed of, having gained the respect of the fans for the effort they had put in. Shane Douglas & Cactus Jack vs. The Jackal & The Soultaker Ever since his return to PCW, Douglas has drawn the ire of the Wild Things, with a win over the Jackal earning him a huge target on his back. It seemed like the odds were stacked against Douglas when he received support from an unexpected quarter. Cactus Jack, who had not been seen since Vegas Vengeance, made his return against his former teammates in the Wild Things by coming to the aide of his old friend from the Army, and this match was quickly signed. As could be imagined, this was a hotly contested match, with the Wild Things doing everything they could to keep Douglas in their corner as much as they could. This worked for a while, but Douglas was able to manage to get a rolling tag into the corner, and then things kicked into a whole different gear. Showing the Wild Things just how wild he could get, Cactus unleashed a flurry of offense, culminating in a Double Arm DDT on the Jackal. A dropkick from Douglas on the Soultaker ensured that Cactus got the pinfall. They may have to face the further wrath of the Wild Things further down the line, but for tonight, Shane Douglas and Cactus Jack stand tall together. Jerry Lynn vs. Scotty The Body Early in his tenure with the Playboy Club, Scotty The Body didn't seem to take things seriously, even showing open disrespect to Buddy Rose. The Playboy shut that down right quickly, and since then, the two have been thick as thieves. Scotty hasn't lost any of his confidence, but his mentor has brought out considerable cunning and ruthlessness in him, and he has moved closer and closer into title contention. Competing against the always game Jerry Lynn, Scotty was able to withstand his offense and take him down with the Body Shot (DDT) for the win. Anyone with a title belt in PCW had best start looking over their shoulder for Scotty The Body. Bam Bam Bigelow & Shinya Hashimoto vs. The Destruction Crew Feeling like he was slipping in his performance, the Diamond Exchange decided to wash their hands of Bam Bam Bigelow. This was a decision they soon came to regret, as the Beast From The East has found himself renewed alongside his new friend Shinya Hashimoto. DDP and his men tried all of the skullduggerous tactics they could fit in, but Page found himself spin kicked off the apron by Hashimoto for his efforts. Hashimoto then slingshot Bigelow on top of Enos for what was no doubt an incredibly satisfying win. Dan Severn vs. Masahiro Chono After losing the Pacific Submission Title to Billy Jack Haynes, Dan Severn went into a bit of a slump, but the support of his friends in the Citadel has helped him start to make a bit of a comeback. He would be taking on an incredibly dangerous opponent in part of the Blood Syndicate, Masahiro Chono. Chono hit hard and kept trying to get Severn into the STF, but the Beast was focused and far too canny to fall into that trap. After playing something of a defensive game for much of the match, Severn took advantage of Chono having worn himself out and suddenly exploded in a series of suplexes. He was able to polish him off with a Northern Lights Suplex. He may have taken some blows, but Dan Severn is definitely on the comeback trail. Billy Gunn & Dustin Rhodes vs. The Southern Boys After a period of skirting the line of flouting the rules, the Southern Boys fully moved over to the dark side with a betrayal of Dustin Rhodes. Dustin brought his Brigade comrade Billy Gunn in to face the former Pacific Tag Team champs, and they did all they could. But the ruthlessness of the Southern Boys spelled the difference, with a vicious clip from behind by Armstrong set Rhodes up for a Jawjacker by Smothers that got the win. Say what you will about the Southern Boys, their change of attitude has made them a top team to beat. California Title Match : Steve Austin © vs. Steve Blackman Another wrestler who has taken a turn towards the ruthless has been the new California champ, "Stunning" Steve Austin. Despite the best efforts of his mentor Bret Hart, Austin has become increasingly cutthroat and more brazen with his chicanery. His challenger, Steve Blackman, has been on something of a hot streak, and definitely had the champion on the back foot through several periods in the match. But Austin is proving to be most effective with his back to the wall, and was able to lure Blackman into going for the Running Bicycle Kick, only to dive out of the way at the last second. Blackman instead landed his kick on the referee, who was right behind Austin, and the moment the ref recovered, he called for the DQ, giving the match to Austin. Just goes to show that you can never take your eye off "Stunning" Steve. Triple Threat Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Dragon Azul vs. Beetlejuice Since winning the Light Heavyweight Title, Eddie Guerrero has taken on all contenders. Tonight, he would take things even further by facing two top challengers at the same time. Much of the main action was handled by Guerrero and Dragon, with Beetlejuice causing mischief whenever he could then scuttling back into the shadows. Beetlejuice tried to create as much friction as he could between the other two, but his luck ran out when he was sent to the mat by a dropkick from Guerrero. Dragon capitalized with an Asai Moonsault that sent the Wild Things member out of the match. It was now down to two men, who put on an absolute barn burner. The fans were in rapt attention as near fall followed near fall. It finally came to an end with Dragon attempting a power bomb that Eddie countered by flipping over and executing a Sunset Flip that held Dragon's shoulders to the mat for the three count. It took a lot, but Eddie Guerrero was still standing tall as the Light Heavyweight Champ. Barry Windham vs. Ted Dibiase At one time, Windham was at the top of the Pacific Coast pecking order. He was the Pacific Heavyweight Champion for an impressive reign, seeing off a host of tough challengers. Then, he lost the title to Ricky Steamboat, and it all seemed to fall apart from him. Almost immediately afterwards, the impending threat of the Triangle Of Terror struck, and he was cast to the bottom at incredible speed. He found himself with no friends, no manager, and dogged by a menace that was able to attack him at will. He brought a lot of pent up frustration into this match and was set on taking them out on the self proclaimed Man Of Means. Dibiase, who had Terry Gordy and Steve Williams with him at ringside, was able to take advantage of Windham's headstrong attitude by luring him into making some key mistakes early on in the match. But little by little, the sheer fury of Windham's offense started to take it's toll, chipping away at Dibiase. It was then that Dibiase pulled his ultimate gambit. When Windham went for the Western Lariat, Dibiase ducked down at the last moment and backdropped the big Texan out of the ring. While the ref was distracted by chiding Dibiase for this move, Gordy and Williams smashed into Windham with a devastating double shoulder tackle. After Williams tossed Windham back into the ring, it was child's play for Dibiase to hit the falling fistdrop for the pinfall. Clearly sooner rather than later, Windham is going to have to find some allies to watch his back. Title Vs. Title Match For The Golden State Tag Team Titles & The WWF United States Tag Team Titles : The Midnight Express © vs. The Rockers © The first night closed out with possibly the most hotly anticipated matches of the whole show. Since arriving on the West Coast not too long ago, the Rockers have become a sensation, wowing the fans with their good looks and innovative style. It didn't take long for them to develop a considerable rivalry with Jim Cornette's Midnight Express, and this match was quickly signed , with both the Golden State Tag Team Titles and the WWF United States Tag Team Titles on the line. With Jim Cornette, Dennis Condrey, and the "Femme Fatale" Sherri Martel all patrolling the outside of the ring like angry sharks, the Rockers were hard pressed to keep their attention on the action in the ring. Keep it they did, using their considerable speed and agility to have the Midnight Express off balance for much of the match. When they took down Eaton with a double crescent kick, Jim Cornette jumped on the ring apron. The ref started to argue with him, but failed to see him toss his loaded tennis racquet high into the ring. It was found by Martel , who jacked Shawn Michaels in the back of the head with it. While Condrey yanked Jannetty out of the ring, the Midnight Express hit a Double Goozle on Michaels and Lane got the cover and the one two three. It took five people to pull it off, but the Midnight Express are now double champions.

God damn it, Ouellette, a Not-Mountie should know better.

I did, but it was a lifetime ago.

What would be the big Dark Side of Duggan? The Iron Sheikh drug bust? A notable anecdote but his career was able to get back on course fairly quickly. Sheiky would definitely make an episode, though.
-
Buzz Sawyer Given who they have spoken with already, I figure it would be an easy lay up for them to have a pretty full roster of talking heads for Eddie Gilbert : JR (I believe he has said he doesn't want to work with Dark Side anymore, but he did appear on Tales From The Territories), Jimmy Hart, Missy, Madusa, Jim Cornette, Mick Foley, and now Todd Gordon.

After this weekend's action, Pacific Coast Wrestling can now announce the full card for our next Mega Show, Seattle Showdown : Pacific Coast Wrestling Seattle Showdown from the Kingdome, Seattle, Night One Wings Of Fire (Vic Steamboat & The Eagle) vs. The Miracle Violence Combination Shane Douglas & Cactus Jack vs. The Jackal & The Soultaker Jerry Lynn vs. Scotty The Body Bam Bam Bigelow & Shinya Hashimoto vs. The Destruction Crew Dan Severn vs. Masahiro Chono Billy Gunn & Dustin Rhodes vs. The Southern Boys California Title Match : Steve Austin © vs. Steve Blackman Triple Threat Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Dragon Azul vs. Beetlejuice Barry Windham vs. Ted Dibiase Title Vs. Pacific Coast Wrestling Show from the UCSB Event Center, Santa Barbara, May 26th Dustin Rhodes vs. Tracy Smothers The hatred ran deep in this match, resulting in a heated match that went to Smothers with the Jawjacker off the top rope. Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasuke) vs. The Destruction Crew Partway through the match, Bam Bam Bigelow came down to ringside and started jawing with DDP and the Crew. The Crew shouldn't have let themselves get distracted, as it left Enos open to a spinning back heel kick from Kawada that gave the win to the Japanese team. Billy Gunn vs. Steve Armstrong Gunn evened the score with the Southern Boys by pinning Armstrong following the Sidewinder (Spinning side suplex). Jerry Lynn vs. Scotty The Body Despite Scotty's posing and preening throughout the match, these two had a mostly technical bout that went to Scotty when he hit the Body Shot (DDT) on Lynn. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. Steve Blackman Rose seemed a bit caught off guard with the intensity of Blackman's challenge, but got right down to the business of holding off the Lethal Weapon. Blackman had Rose lined up for the Running Bicycle Kick, but the Playboy threw the referee into it's path. Blackman did his best to try to revive the ref, but this left an opening for Scotty The Body to sneak into the ring and once again hit the Body Shot (DDT). Rose went over for the cover, and the ref crawled over. Rose leapt up in triumph, but the ref then told him that he had been disqualified for manhandling an official. Rose was upset at the finish, but still held onto his title. That said, sooner or later, Blackman is going to be coming after him for a rematch. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Erin O'Grady The night closed out with another great Light Heavyweight Title bout, with Eddie doing everything he could to hold off a spirited challenge from the Leprechaun, finally pulling it out with a Frog Splash.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, May 25th Steven Regal vs. Fit Finlay Regal came out determined to break out of his recent slump and went all out against his old rival, Fit Finlay. This was an intensely hard hitting match with both men getting bloodied at different points and getting hit with jarring moves and wrenching submission holds. Regal was able to stagger Finlay with a running forearm smash before putting him away with the Regal Plex. An impressive win, but he still has to contend with Atlas at Seattle Showdown. The Eagle vs. Mike Awesome Despite the best efforts of the masked man, Awesome grounded the Eagle with the appropriately named Awesome Bomb. Scott Hall vs. Masahiro Chono Another high impact match with Hall getting the win with the Gator Breaker (Blockbuster Suplex) Non-Title Match : The Rockers vs. The Midnight Express In their second match of the weekend, these two teams continued with the spectacular but heated action, resulting in the referee declaring a no contest with all four men in the ring at once. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Stormfront (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) © vs. The Juice Crew (Beetlejuice & Big Juice) The champs defended against the always unpredictable Juice Crew and ultimately prevailed by hitting the Storm Warning (modified double Flapjack that drives the opponent down onto his head) on Beetlejuice. Ricky Steamboat, Bret Hart & Barry Windham vs. The Triangle Of Terror (Ted Dibiase, Terry Gordy & Steve Williams) Windham may have been getting the cold shoulder from his former allies in the Brigade, but at least found partners for the night in two of the top wrestlers in PCW. Both Steamboat and Hart seemed wary of Windham throughout the match but still fought bravely at his side against the onslaught of the Triangle. They put in a courageous effort, but couldn't stop Dibiase cold cocking Windham from behind with the loaded black glove. Gordy followed up with a huge piledriver and , once again, the Triangle were triumphant.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Olympic Auditorium , Los Angeles , on ESPN / TSN, May 24th The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) vs. The Sin City Superstars (Mark Starr & Reno Riggins) With Scotty The Body's switch to singles action, the rivalry between the Dreamboats and the Sin City Superstars rolls on with Reno Riggins taking over his spot and losing none of the vitriol. These two teams went at a furious pace, with an emphasis on furious, and the ref struggled to maintain some sort of semblance of order. It completely broke down when all four men were in the ring brawling, with even Trisa Hayes and Tina Ferrari tearing at each other. The referee had no choice but to declare a no contest, and security were forced to come out and separate the two sides. These two teams are a powderkeg, and it may well be at Seattle Showdown where that blows sky high. The Rockers & Vic Steamboat vs. The Midnight Express & Dennis Condrey Another tag team feud that has been growing in intensity lately has been that between the Rockers and the Midnight Express. Since the arrival of the Rockers from the WWF, Jim Cornette's men have had it in for them, and the result has been some explosive matches. This time, Vic Steamboat and the returning Dennis Condrey got caught in the line of fire, with understandable chaotic results. Eaton wound up blindsiding Steamboat, setting him up for the Full Nelson Facebuster from Condrey to give them the win. That said, nothing is truly resolved between the two teams, and the hatred between the two teams remains as hot as ever rolling into their big match at Seattle Showdown. Shane Douglas vs. The Jackal Shane Douglas made his return a few weeks ago and surprised many with his win over the Jackal. The masked man was eager to even the score and a rematch was quickly signed. Despite the Jackal's more aggressive tactics, Douglas managed to stay one step ahead of him for most of the match. It eventually got to the point where Jackal signalled to the locker room, and the big Soultaker came out and attacked Douglas, leading to a DQ finish. The Wild Things didn't care as they continued to double team Douglas. Then, unexpectedly, someone came to the rescue, swinging a chair. It was Cactus Jack! The man from Truth Or Consequences had not been seen since Vegas Vengeance, but was able to clock both Jackal and Soultaker with the chair before the pair made a tactical retreat. He then helped Douglas to his feet and put his arm around his shoulder to support him. It looks like Douglas is no longer alone, with his old friend Cactus at his side. Dan Severn & Stormfront (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Billy Jack Haynes, Gary Albright & David Young) The fortunes of the OWC have taken a considerable tumble of late. From rising quickly to the top of the Pacific Coast, they find themselves targets of the Triangle Of Terror and with Young dealing with an arm injury. That said, they put in a strong effort against the Pacific Tag Team champs and the newly resurgent Dan Severn. It was when Young and Albright were both in the ring fighting all three members of the Citadel that the Triangle struck. Dibiase, Gordy and Williams rushed down to the ring and ambushed Billy Jack. Gordy pulled him down off the ring apron, Dibiase slugged him with a black glove clad fist, and Williams hoisted him over his shoulder and torpedoed him, shoulder first, several times into the ring post. They then shoved Haynes into the ring before disappearing into the night. Severn turned around , saw Haynes on the ground, and reflexively put him in a Fujiwara armbar. Billy Jack immediately screamed out his submission, and Severn, realizing that something was amiss, released it right away. The Citadel members were confused, but Billy Jack was clearly in agony when the other OWC members helped him to the back. Tony Atlas vs. Brandon Bellinger After his recent attack on Steven Regal and his subsequent declaration of intent in an interview with Don Coss, Tony Atlas showed his true mettle in the ring this week. And it was mighty indeed. He battered poor Bellinger and slammed him all over the ring, finally putting him out of his misery with a jarring piledriver. It hasn't taken long since his return to the west coast for Atlas to regain his always fearsome reputation. Brian Lee vs. Genichiro Tenryu We are just one week away from Tenryu getting his second shot at Ricky Steamboat's Pacific Heavyweight Title, this time in a cage. For his last match before that, he certainly wasn't taking on light opposition. Brian Lee has recently pulled off his most impressive victory yet, running his cousin the Undertaker out of PCW, and was not about to be a stepping stone for the Japanese legend. True to form, these two had a closely contested bout that thrilled the audience. Tenryu was able to take Lee down with an enzuigiri, but Lee was able to kick out at 2 and ¾ . Tenryu then hit a high angle power bomb, and that was enough to finally put Lee away. Next stop, Seattle Showdown and an appointment with the Dragon.

I can actually answer this one. The Japanese magazine named Baseball actually covered wrestling. I don't know why but I learned this from Mick Foley's first book.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno, May 19th Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Southern Boys An exciting battle between two teams on an upswing that went to a 20 minute time limit draw. Dan Severn vs. Mark Starr Severn blocked Starr's attempts at a Heel Hook and was able to force him tap out to an STF. The Eagle vs. The Soultaker The big Soultaker defeated the masked man with the Exorcism (Spine Snapper Backbreaker) Steve Blackman vs. Phil Lafon These two had an exciting technical duel that went to Blackman when he caught Lafon off the ropes with the Running Bicycle Kick Louie Spicolli vs. Tony Atlas Atlas planted Spicolli with a piledriver and took the win Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Reno Riggins The night ended off with a closely contested title match. Guerrero was able to block an attempted Russian Legsweep from Riggins by grabbing the ropes, then got him to submit to the Lasso From El Paso .

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Cow Palace , San Francisco, on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, May 18th Bam Bam Bigelow & Shinya Hashimoto vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) The unusual duo of Bigelow and Hashimoto faced off against the always pugnacious pairing of Finlay and O'Grady. The Irish put up an incredible fight (naturally) but Bigelow was able to pin Finlay following a slingshot splash. Steven Regal vs. Dennis Condrey Regal seemed a bit off his game since losing the California Title to Steve Austin, and while he did put in a good effort, Condrey took him down with a Full Nelson Facebuster . Jerry Lynn vs. Scotty The Body These two had an extended and exciting duel that went to Scotty with the Body Shot (DDT). Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Stormfront (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) © vs. The Destruction Crew The Crew came out aggressively, looking to regain their Pacific Tag Titles, but Snow caught Bloom coming off the ropes with a Snow Bomb to pull out a successful defense. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. Bret Hart Hart gave the wily veteran Rose a considerable challenge for the TV title. Partway through the match, Steve Austin came down to ringside and started arguing with Hart. While the ref was ordering Austin back to the locker room, Scotty The Body capitalized on the distraction by sneaking into the ring and hitting the Body Shot (DDT) on Hart. Rose capitalized with a running splash for the tainted victory. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Chris Adams Adams got a rematch from the previous week and definitely gave Steamboat a run for his money. Adams nearly landed his always deadly Superkick on Steamboat coming off the ropes, but Steamboat slid under it, then followed up with a bridging back suplex to pull out the win.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, May 17th The Triangle Of Terror (Ted Dibiase, Steve Williams & Terry Gordy) vs. Jim Lynch, Blake Towsley & Brian Corridan It's been a couple of weeks since the Triangle Of Terror made their shocking debut in PCW, and this would be the first time since then that the three of them would be in the ring in a match. They certainly cemented their fearsome reputation, devastating the opposition and running rampage all over the three rookies. Two accentuate the point, Corridan, who at this point was pretty much a ragdoll after their battering, was put away with a double spike piledriver. The Triangle Of Terror are making an impact, and it is terrifying indeed. Dan Severn & Maxx Payne vs. The Juice Crew (Beetlejuice & Big Juice) After last week, Severn is re-dedicating himself to the leadership of the Citadel, with the full support of the other members. He was a bit slow to get going against the notorious Juice Crew, but with the encouragement of Maxx Payne, he became more sure of himself. Payne whipped Big Juice into Severn, who took him over with a crushing backdrop suplex. Payne held off Beetljuice while Severn got the pinfall. If Severn isn't all the way back yet, he is certainly making important strides to get there. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest recently made a shocking return to Pacific Coast Wrestling … Tony Atlas! The booing of the fans doesn't seem to have an effect on Atlas, as he came out bearing a ferocious scowl that he maintained all the way to the ring. Coss : Tony Atlas, no one was expecting you to come back to PCW, but what on earth possessed you to attack Steven Regal and cost him the California Title? Atlas : You watch your mouth, Coss, I have my reasons. Since I left PCW, I started hearing about some English punk strutting around like a tall dog in short grass. Even had the nerve to call his team British Steel. Well, I just showed how easily British Steel breaks. It's no match for Iron & Steel, that's for sure. I am the strongest allow that there is, and no English brat is going to get in my way. Coss : But why cost Regal his California Title? Are you somehow trying to help Steve Austin? Atlas : Austin don't mean squat to me. People around here have forgotten about Tony Atlas. Big mistake. I took that creep down to make a statement. Nobody is ever going to overlook Tony Atlas again! Non-Title Match : The Rockers vs. The Midnight Express It didn't take long for the Rockers to get the attention of Pacific Coast fans. After several exciting appearances, it didn't take long for a match to be signed between the WWF United States Tag Team champions and the PCW Golden State Tag Team champs, albeit with neither set of titles on the line. The Rockers came out first, running the ropes to build up the excitement with the fans. The Midnight Express were next, accompanied by Jim Cornette and Sensational Sherri Martel, looking quite unimpressed with their opposition. As Marty Janetty ran the ropes on the side the Express were coming past, Stan Lane reached in and snagged his leg to trip him, all of the Express laughing as he fell flat on his face. The immediately stopped laughing when both members of the Rockers dove over the top tope and started brawling with them. Cornette cowered behind the ring steps while Sherri got some vicious kicks in whenever she could. The two sides kept brawling, paying no heed to the referee until he had no choice but to throw the match out and declare a no contest. A disappointing result, but you can bet that a rematch will be signed, sooner rather than later. Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) From their peak at the first part of the year as one of the most feared factions in all of PCW, the Oregon Wrecking Crew have taken quite a tumble in fortunes. They have found themselves the targets of harassment from the newly arrived Triangle Of Terror, and Young was coming in with a damaged arm from last week from matches with both the Triangle and Dean Malenko. The Japanese team eagerly capitalized on Young's injury, ruthlessly targeting it while keeping Albright out of the ring. Part way through the match, the Triangle Of Terror came out but did not interfere, simply standing at the back and observing the match while whispering to each other before returning to the locker room. Sasaki executed a vicious single arm takedown on Young before trapping him in a Wakigatame armbar, but Young refused to give up, and it came down to Albright having to throw in the towel to prevent further injury. Young was clearly in a lot of pain but clearly had a look of barely restrained fury as he left the ring. California Title Match : Steve Austin © vs. Vic Steamboat The last match would be a defense for Steve Austin's California Title , with Austin becoming a figure of some controversy since winning the title. He has shown progressive tendency to push boundaries and skirt the rules, to the obvious chagrin of his mentor, Bret Hart, who was at ringside for this match. His challenger, Vic Steamboat, comes in the match keen to establish himself as his own man, outside of the dual shadows of his brother Ricky Steamboat and his now departed partner Brian Adams. He was quite a handful for Austin, who became more and more aggressive as the match went on. When Steamboat tried to get Austin set up for the Demon Suplex (Tiger Suplex), Austin shut it down with a vicious elbow shot to the face, then followed up with a rollup assisted by a fistful of tights to get the win. After the match, Austin immediately got in Hart's face, bellowing at him and asking if he had something to say, but the Hitman simply shook his head in disappointment and tried to walk away . Austin grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around, getting in his face, but again Bret's only reply was a stony look. Eventually, tempers cooled and the two left in different directions, but something tells me that this alliance is not long for this world.

Keep meaning to mention this .. the Hard Working wrestler is named Bobby Walker, not Booby
-
Hurt to give up the Patriot, but glad to see you give him the debut he deserves.
-
That said, Glen Ruth (Thrasher) is said by Wikipedia to have made his debut in 1990. I seem to recall having seen him do jobs in WWF around that time.
-
No, Glenn Ruth was Thrasher. Glen Osbourne was an East Coast Indy guy who appeared in the very early days of ECW.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from McArthur Court, Eugene, May 12th Steve Williams & Terry Gordy vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) Young was coming in with his arm still in rough shape from the night before, but that didn't stop him from pulling out all the stops against Williams and Gordy. Albright was always at his partner's back, and they gave quite a fight to the Triangle members, until Williams caught Young coming off the ropes with a power slam and get the win. Vic Steamboat vs. Dennis Condrey The Demon was also coming in banged up from a match earlier in the weekend, but did his best against the veteran Condrey before going down to the Gourdbuster. Kensuke Sasaki vs. Masahiro Chono These two young Japanese stars had an intense and gripping duel, with the aggression of Chono proving to be the difference maker as he forced Sasaki to tap out to the STF. Steve Blackman vs. Erin O'Grady O'Grady kept up his energetic roll in an extremely competitive match with the Lethal Weapon before being caught coming off the ropes and hit with a spin kick to the head, giving the decision to Blackman. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) vs. The Sin City Superstars (Mark Starr & Reno Riggins) The new model Sin City Superstars showed what they could do against the up and coming Suicide Blondes. In a fast paced match, it was the Superstars hitting the combo of a schoolboy trip by Starr and a running cross body by Riggins on Spicolli getting the win. Dustin Rhodes & Billy Gunn vs. The Juice Crew (Beetlejuice & Big Juice) Clearly gearing up to take on the newly wild Southern Boys, Rhodes and Gunn faced the always unpredictable Juice Crew and were able to pull out the victory with Gunn executing the Sidewinder (spinning side suplex) on Big Juice California Title Match : Steve Austin © vs. Fit Finlay In his first defense of his newly won California title, Austin was facing a familiar opponent in the Belfast Bruiser. Austin was now cutting more corners and using more cheap shots, not that Finlay was intimidated. Nonetheless, Austin was able to lure Finlay into a rollup assisted by a fistful of tights and his feet on the ropes to pin his shoulders to the mat.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Portland Memorial Coliseum , Portland , on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, May 11th The Rockers vs. The Destruction Crew The Rockers were perfectly synchronized, sending Enos out of the ring with a double back body drop, then taking down Bloom with a double crescent kick and putting him down for good with a double flying fistdrop, scoring an incredibly impressive win over the former Pacfic Tag Team champs. Dean Malenko vs. David Young Malenko was able to outlast Young's rough and tumble offense, taking him down and forcing him to submit to a cross armbreaker. Toshiaki Kawada vs. Genichiro Tenryu Tenryu was evidently furious at having to wait for his rematch with Ricky Steamboat, taking his frustrations out on Kawada. He battered the young Japanese star before pinning him following a scoop Brainbuster. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. Jerry Lynn Lynn gave the Playboy a spirited challenge but ultimately was defeated by the Inside Out Backbreaker Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Stormwatch (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) © vs. The Southern Boys The Southern Boys showed their descent to the wild side with a ferocious brawl that wound up being declared a no contest by the ref when the match got completely out of control. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Chris Adams This show closed out with an absolute barn burner, with Adams gunning hard for the big title. Steamboat just barely dodged the dreaded Superkick, and when Adams attempted a DDT, the Dragon was able to counter with an inside cradle to earn the hard fought win.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN, May 10th Shane Douglas vs. The Jackal Last week, Shane Douglas made his surprising but successful return to the west coast in a winning effort. Tonight, his competition increased considerably as he took on the always devious Jackal. The masked man attempted his usual array of dirty tricks, but the speed and enthusiasm of Douglas was able to carry him past them. The Jackal eventually got so upset he went for his final option, as it looked like he would attempt to use the toxic Crimson Death Dust on the Pittsburgh native. But before he could do so, Douglas got in close and hit a lightning quick belly to belly suplex on the Jackal and got the one two three. The Jackal was livid at this result but the crowd was ecstatic as they celebrated with Douglas for his big victory. Interview : Don Coss stands in the Crow's Nest Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are experience some setbacks lately on the Pacific Coast … the Citadel! The crowd warmly greets the Citadel as they head out to the Crow's Nest, but they don't seem to notice. Dan Severn looks downcast, while Steve Blackman, Al Snow, Alex Porteau and Maxx Payne all look concerned. Snow : Don, if you don't mind, this is Citadel business, so I will take things from here. Dan … what's going on? You have been more and more out of it in your matches. We keep looking to you for leadership, but you just aren't there. What gives? Severn : Al, guys … I've lost it. Billy Jack Haynes took the Pacific Submission Title from me, and in doing so, he made me look like a chump. That title was my biggest achievement in PCW, I like to think I gave it some prestige. Now it's gone, and I don't have it anymore. I've lost my edge, and I am not able to get it back. I'm not fit to lead the Citadel anymore. I think it's best that I turn over the leadership to Steve and resign. The rest of the Citadel look to each other and seem to come to a wordless agreement. Blackman : Dan, with all due respect … HELL, NO! (Severn is startled) You founded this group, and no matter what, you are the only leader we want. You are in a bit of a slump. They happen. But you are still the Beast. You've forgotten more about grappling than any of us will ever know. We will get you back up to speed, no matter what it takes, but you need to promise to at least meet us half way. Payne : Dan, you took me in when the Neighborhood Of Evil kicked me out on my ass. You showed faith in me when nobody else did. We have faith in you, and you need to have some faith in yourself. Porteau : You are the Man, you just need to remember it. We have your back come hell or high water. Severn : Guys, I … I don't know what to say. Yes, I'm in. I will do everything to live up to your faith in me. Dennis Condrey vs. Ibrehem Rahman Another surprising recent return to Pacific Coast Wrestling has been that of Dennis Condrey. After interfering under a mask at Vegas Vengeance, "Loverboy" Dennis is now fully back in the fold of Camp Cornette, and James E. Cornette is clearly pleased as punch to have him back. It didn't take Condrey long to show why, as he easily dismantled Rahman before putting him down for good with a Full Nelson Facebuster. With the return of both Condrey and the Golden State Tag Team Titles, Cornette and his men are clearly riding high again. Interview : Don Coss stands in the Crow's Nest Coss : Ladies and gentlemen , my next guests have make one of the most impactful debuts in the history of PCW … the Triangle Of Terror. The crowd boos loudly as they come out, but that doesn't seem to bother Ted Dibiase, Steve Williams and Terry Gordy, who are all sneers and laughter as they walk out to the Crow's Nest. Coss : Ted Dibiase, you've never wrestled before in PCW, but you and your … uhh … men come out of nowhere to savagely attack Barry Windham! What on earth is going on? Dibiase : The answer is simple, Coss, even for someone as simple as you! I have accomplished anything I have set my mind to. I am a Man Of Means, and what I want, I take. I saw the West Coast as a big glittering prize, and I intend to take it as the biggest jewel in my crown. To do this, I knew just the right person to join me in this quest. Someone I trusted above all others, my good friend, Doctor Death! Williams : That's right, Ted. I have heard a lot of balloon juice about how the best competitors in wrestling are in PCW. Well, what I've seen so far doesn't impress me at all. The Triangle is going to tear it all down and show you what real wrestlers look like. Dibiase : I knew right away who our first target would be. Barry Windham is the last Pacific Heavyweight champion and would be standing in our way for any title shots. I immediately hatched a plan to get this obstacle out of our way before we even got here. We started sending notes, taking over the lights, getting inside his head until he didn't know up from down. But to get the ultimate edge, we needed someone who was going to make it personal. Someone with a grudge to work out. That is where my man Terry comes into the picture. Gordy : Barry Windham, you remember me? You got me and my Freebird brothers kicked out of PCW. Well, I am back and badder than ever! You found out, didn't you? We sent you out on a stretcher, and if you know what's good for you, you will take the hint and stay out of our way. Just get the hell out of the Pacific Coast entirely unless you want us to send you our permanently. And hey, Ricky Steamboat … don't you dare for a second think I have forgotten about you. I was the most dominant Pacific Heavyweight Champion until you came along. Well, I hope you have been enjoying babysitting my belt for me, because it is all about to come to an end. It's only a matter of time. Coss : But you haven't just been harassing Barry Windham, you have also .. Dibiase : Uh uh, Coss, not just yet. We aren't going to give away all of our secrets at once. Let's just say that we will make our next move when the time is right. Until the time comes, take it as a warning. Pacific Coast Wrestling is about to take on a new shape : the Triangle Of Terror! Tony Atlas vs. Bobby John Drinkard Someone else to make a shocking arrival (or, in his case, return) by ambush in PCW has been Tony Atlas. The three time Mr. USA brutally attacked Steven Regal last week, basically handing the California Title to Steve Austin. He is clearly as fearsome as ever, and he made short work of Drinkard. Atlas whipped the young rookie from pillar to post and piledrove him to the mat before forcing him to give up to a Full Nelson. Hmmm, wonder what Billy Jack Haynes might make of him using his finisher. The Eagle, Vic Steamboat & The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) vs. The Playboy Club (Buddy Rose, Scotty The Body, Mark Starr & Reno Riggins) After their reorganization last week, the Playboy Club came out and delivered a considerable show of force. With Tina Ferrari and the imposing Mike Awesome at ringside, they were clearly a faction to be reckoned with. The Eagle and Vic Steamboat were both dealing with the recent departure of their respective partners, and while the Dreamboats did their best to keep things together, it was no match for the well oiled machine that was the Playboy Club. Riggins was able to catch Steamboat in the Reno Plex (Cradle Suplex) for the win . After the match, Awesome added insult to injury , or possibly further injury to injury, giving a spiteful Power Bomb to Steamboat. The Playboy Club are clearly staking their own claim on the Pacific Coast. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Erin O'Grady The evening closed off a thrilling light heavyweight match. The Leprechaun has been really feeling his oats of late, and went all out against the champ. Guerrero was given all he could handle from O'Grady, and it was all he could do to get him down and force him to tap out to a leglock that he calls the Lasso From El Paso. O'Grady may not have won the title, but he certainly has won the respect of Guerrero and the fans.
