  1. Huge main event on both channels. Warrior couldn't be bothered to take his jacket off. Bret has to stand around like a goof off of the hot tag. I loved the cloud of smoke malfunctioning after the NWO run in and you could hear everyone doing a collective oh shit. A lot of star power but pretty much inconsequential stuff and where is the build to DDP and Goldberg? (*3/4)
  2. Bischoff is pissed and gets Dillenger to lead him to the skybox. Someone takes the opportunity to trench him with a drink and some garbage as he goes up there. WHen Bischoff arrives, he gets a little testy and ends up arrested in a fun scene. Tony, Bobby, and Tenay all love this news and comment on it for a while. Flair is celebrating in the skybox and does the strut to a huge reaction in one of my favorite moments of the year.
  3. Don't know how long this lasted but this was some shoddy looking merchandise on the promo.
  4. Well, Hogan looking into the mirror had a short run as dumbest segment off the year. So bad with Rick challenging Chucky to a match.
  5. Bischoff sees the Horseman arrive and subsequently bans them from entering. On the other hand, Bruce MacArthur has invited them to his skybox so that trumps Bischoff. Bischoff doesn't take this news kindly.
  6. I love Hogan reactions in Chicago. He accepts the challenge and we have our big main event.
  7. They decide to team up tonight to tag up. Blade Runners Reunion. Why doesn't sting ask one of his Wolfpac buddies.
  8. Great match that while it does feel like a retread, it was a welcome change of pace as what has been a little lull for good action overall in the footage watching for this year. This really amped up with Kawada and Taue targeting the leg of Akiyama and everything from that to the end run was superb. The Kobashi/Akiyama team has a more even feel to it to me than Kobashi/Misawa ever did even though Kobashi was clearly the senior based on this match. (****)
  9. That is funny that this has Sandman on the cover. Artists and songs don't really suit my fancy.
  10. Feels like Jericho is still trying to hang on with Goldberg now and GOldberg has no intention of returning the favor. That is a shame.
  11. Rock continues to rise but Taker predictably gets his win back going into the title match at Judgement Day. The action here looked better than the previous week.
  12. Great stuff all around and shocking at how memorable a five minute segment can be. From Yurple wanting to cheer vince up to him yelling Leave Dammit. "Ill take it from here nurse!" I love the punches to Vinces cast and his acting when Austin gives him the shock blasts. Really toed the line between comedy and violent. Wonderful segment.
  13. I'm not calling this an official match since the bell never rung but it was damn good an mixed in the backstage brawling aspects of wrestling in a more believable manner than the Hardcore Title fests did in WWF which I could appreciate. This does feel like a great setup for a cage match or something bloody at Havoc.
  14. Yeah, I am still saying this is fine because they are mixing it up and Bischoff is someone that could be showed ass against anyone, Reid included. I don't know where I would have went with this as Flair vs. Hogan seems kind of natural again before they went to it in 1999. This was a fun segment and I really loved the mannerisms of Ric, Reid was able to mix in. Sad knowing the end story of this father/son relationship.
  15. Here it is, one of the dumbest nonsensical things that ever happens. The commentators, us and Hogan see the Warrior but Bisch cant. WHAT THE FUCK!
  16. I kind of liked this too begrudgingly. Buff is a good character for the mom to come out and try to lead him on the right path. Him getting pulled by the ear was a nice touch and Judy ate it up.
  17. Pretty lackluster segment with Scott showing kid pictures and providing his dominance over the family.
  18. Stark contrast to the last segment as this was another lame promo by Warrior. Blah.
  19. I didn't remember this at all but this was great with a viciousness and out of control feel that you dont see that often in wrestling. The security guard almost does the splits trying to separate the two. It was nice to see this type of aggression from Sting. I also enjoyed the search for Hall. "Hes been kicked out of every titty club". The payoff here was nice with Nash and Hall having a brawl in the bathroom with rowdy drunks cheering them on. This was for sure needed a few months ago right as the split happened. One of WCWs highlights of the year.
  20. This was charming in some ways to me but it didn't have a lot of meat to it. Essentially it is Matsunaga using his tricks in a Battlarts environment, then getting stopped by Ishikawa. it does seem odd but I find it as a decent change of pace. (**1/4)
  21. Crazy scene that it is tough to hear but most of the insults seem to be of the fat momma or dick sucking variety. The ring fills up with trash and Gertner looks fairly frightened when he almost bails. God bless my home state.
  22. VInce is up in the hospital and all banged up. He is blaming Austin as the catalyst for this but not exactly elated with the Bros of Destruction either.
  23. Nothing to this as the Dudley Boyz immediately come in. This is all about the aftermath as Taz gets his hands on Douglas again and we see the formation of a new triple threat with Taz, Sabu and RVD.
  24. This was actually my favorite of the New Jack comes in with plunder and we all fuck around stuff. Dreamer was bloodied. The shots of weapons looked good and Credible looked decent being the biggest star on his side. (**1/2)
  25. That sucks for Awesome as he was gaining momentum around here and FMW when this injury happened.
