  5. This was WrestleMania 27 weekend and is my choice as well. They did a slap exchange with the blood flying that I got a good bit of Rhett's blood spattered on my 7 rows deep.
  6. I really liked this interview as Sting was focused and had a direct message not only for Rude but also for Luger down the line. One of the better Sting promos I have seen actually.
  7. Richard Lee and The Moondogs are here. Apparently the Moondogs were fighting in San Juan, Mexico which got a big laugh out of me. Fuller bleeds literally 30 seconds into the match. The moondogs gain the titles and then a wild scene ensues with blood and Jarrett getting involved. Glad to see The Moondogs on board.
  8. Pritchard in a suit is usually a recipe for some good stuff and he delivers here. He gives the history of the year so far in preparation for the loser leave town match. He calls Embry a master manipulator. Embry comes out raising cane and we have a pull apart with Eddie Marlin in the middle of it. Good hype for an interesting match.
  9. Sandman is going to hang ten into Tennessee. Really weird to see this knowing what is to come.
  10. Jake using him not bringing a snake to Tuesday in Texas and revealing that he is the real snake was a thing of beauty. He said he has took our souls. This is a creepy ass man Macho responds directly with a great serious promo for him vowing revenge. Taker and Bearer again do a good insert promo giving a message they still have after gaining the title. Taker wants Hogan's soul.
  11. Missy is fairly annoying here. Luger is still feeling aimless dealing with Rick Steiner even after beating him at the Clash. Harley sounds like he smoked more cigarettes than usual before doing his promo.
  12. I love the INfernales and had a big smile on my face with their domination in the first fall. They really set the pace here with Dandy having to carry the load on his side. The bump Pirata takes off one of Conan's shitty clotheslines is super. THis really wetted my appetite for the hair vs. hair match at the end of this disc and was another 3.5 star match for 1991.
  13. I love this series. The seeds were set in the early goings with Misawa and Jumbo starting off at the start. The match really ratcheted up with the work on Kawada's stomach and then of course the final ten minutes was amazing with all the eye work and callbacks to the previous matches in the series. Shame the match ended in a draw but it was not telegraphed at all and made me want to see one more definitive match between these two in late 1992.
  14. Flair gives quite a post PPV interview run with this, Rumble, and WM 8. He is psychotic here and goes on a big rant talking about Hulkamania is no more.
  15. Big time cheers when Taker hits his flying clothesline. Finish I thought was pretty great from Bearers reaction to the hulk up to the interference and the shocking result. Two crazy title changes on WWF ppv in 1991.
  16. Survivor Series takes another hit as they are pushing Tuesday in Texas Jake vs. Macho now on this PPV. Do we ever know exactly why they did two PPV's so close together and was that always the plan? Jake does a great promo talking about the match coming up with Macho. Jake is so sinister.
  17. Really good promo leading into the hype for the match. The Survivor Series show was set up and lived/died based on Taker/Hogan. Love the potshots Bobby/Monsoon get in on each other before and after the promo.
  18. I never realized the repo on his jacket had tags of each state. Nice touch. I can also safely say that I have never seen a car repo'd by the window being kicked in. Hokey gimmick special from WWF.
  19. We get a great promo revealing each member of the Dangerous Alliance and they look like an imposing group. The omni hyping is still really bizarre. Paul E leading the charges of all of these is great. I really like the Enforcers coming into the fold because of legal advice.
  20. I thought this was really good as a tease to why Bobby turned to the Dangerous Alliance but man was the crowd brutal. Bobby only came in for short bursts then finally had enough and gives Dustin a shoulderbreaker to allow Austin to get the pin. I also enjoy the intensity between Dustin/Arn as their staredown at the beginning was really good.
  21. Ditto what everyone else has said. Looking back at moments of my early childhood and wrestling, this one really sticks out in my mind as memorable and everything was done perfectly throughout this angle and the concern everyone shows.
  22. This lineup is pretty awful with mixed in guys and subs all around. Really honestly shows how weak the roster was from a depth perception at points as Warrior and Perfect were out of action. Main highlights were the introduction of Perfect as Executive Consultant and we get our first blurring of the belt.
  23. I was going to say this was one of the better Hogan promos period until he went overboard with the religion stuff. Still, they have done a good job making Undertaker look strong but Hogan of course is not backing down.
  24. This is one of Liz's better acting jobs as she pleads with Tunney for Savage's reinstatement. I love the interaction between Piper and Randy.
  25. I probably like this a tad less than the rest but it was still very good and played up to Sting's strengths. Cactus beat up on him for the majority of the match and created a ton of sympathy for him. Then when he makes his comeback, Cactus takes those crazy bumps that were built to and sold for this time which was satisfying leading into the finish. This made Sting look like a star and Cactus look like he belonged with the top guys.
