The promo that Piper cuts from the bathroom stall at I believe the Slammys that one year has to be seen to be believed. I mean he is completely drugged out of his goard. Even as a kid I knew something was up

Bryan on WOL implying that Orton's smoking is affecting his workrate

I had that France Prime Time on tape for years (probably till 98 or 99). Bobby and Gorilla were laying it on pretty thick that night. Well I thought it was funny...
-
god damn I guess *every*wrestler gets an incredibly hot wife
-
I know few were watching the product then but in 2005 Dawn was rather bloated, pudgy and looking strung out before she was fired sort of like how Stephanie looked in 2003

Nash is much funnier than Alvarez

man late 1988 saw a shitload of wrestlesr leave the company Muraco, JYD, Bulldogs, Patera, George Steele, etc after four years of the expansion they were finally getting rid of some of the minor pieces of the era and there's that cryptic note abou Dino Bravo that I assume is about the Montreal mafia and not the casting couch

I was just watching some RAWs from late 98 when Jim Ross was out and Lawler and Cole don't even try to make any sense of Russo's angles. They just keep spouting "Isn't this great!?" "Only in the WWF!" "Uh oh what's Mr McMahon going to say about this!" they were so laid back then unlike today where they try to make sense of things and use their serious tones throughout the show

Quick thought that entered my mind Anyone remember in early 96 when Bischoff was promoting some Alyssa Milano movie that was going to air after Nitro and ad libbed something like this after reading the sheet. "Man I always knew she'd grow up to be hot since she started on Who's the Boss?" (realizing what he said was kind of creepy) "Anyway..back to the action!" nearly 15 years later I *still* remember how awkward that was

More Wrestling Than Wrestling: SLL's new feature at Cageside Seats
Strummer replied to Bix's topic in Pro Wrestling
Loss I've been reading this post over and over since yesterday. I have yet to stop howling with laughter Bravo to you sir! -
Dave and Bryan seem to take it so personally when someone diagrees with their pro wrestling=MMA Theorem I mean they don't like it when people disagree with them on anything but on this particular topic they go straight into attack mode

Just watching the Wrestlemania rountable and did CNN actually report the results of WM 3 on air? Michael Hayes mentioned this.
-
Gorilla making fun of his height probably didn't help. Although that stopped around late 88 or so.
-
Heenan did a fantastic job getting over Flair to the unaware WWF audience in late 91/92 I guess that has more to with his commentary but the two did some great promos together in that short time (Prime Time, Funeral Parlor)
-
Sherri's interference actually added to matches instead of detracting from them she was awesome all the way until the NWO angle started where all of sudden she looked like she didn't give a shit anymore
-
she managed the Jung Dragons
-
I had heard that Kimona quit after an incident involving Missy Hyatt (um...)
-
the whole angle made Tommy look ridiculous. I thought it was a lame angle at the time and it seems even worse now Kimona was gone from the company soon after anyway

In lingerie no less. I loved how she no sold being in her underwear and just took bumps like normal. Her doing a splash of the top rope in black lace lingerie was awesome and I love this Heenan line from the match Sherri handcuffs Mr T to the ropes "That's not the first time she's used handcuffs on a guy"

not Dave specifically but John Pollock goes on a rant about Dave's number one talking point:

back to ECW on MSG. Didn't Hardcore TV stop airing on MSG in January 1998? I remember being disappointed I could no longer watch it but from reading online I probably wouldn't have liked much of it anyway hell in High School I used to say up till 2 AM to watch it (when it switched to PRIME IIRC) on Sunday Night/early Monday morning when I had to get up for school at 7 (they switched to Friday night/early Saturday sometime in 97) and why were they thrown off MSG? yep bullshit from Heyman and WWE. It aired well well after the kiss
-
for those who still watch anyone feeling a bit of nostalgia watching RAW lately with all the video packages and "Let us take you back to last week.." segments? it's like watching a 1988 episode of Superstars
-
Bam Bam really did flop in the NWA. Look how much his career fell in one calendar year
-
Todd has mentioned before that he is a big hip hop/rap fan I find that rather amusing
-
yep Barrett's visa expired. So did Drew's (hence the angle on SD last Friday) That's a very WCW/TNA gaffe by WWE. They're usually on top of things like that
