Lesnar v Orton rematch announced for the Sept 24 House Show in Chicago. Dave says it will be announced on Raw tonight
-
I remember watching this at the time. I was a freshman in high school. Surreal stuff. RIP to the "devious one"
-
poor Brie in that feud. Worst booked babyface ever
-
The Headbangers are returning to WWE as they will face Slater and Rhyno on Smackdown on Tuesday. Sounds like a one time thing but I will admit I wanna see that match
-
It's Forbes reporting, who's been uneven at best with WWE coverage, but apparently the company has not ruled out Bryan wrestling again. Floodgates open....

to be honest I think Steph has been overrated by some during this heel run from 2013- to present. I never got these "all time great promos" she was cutting (not everyone was saying. this but Wade Keller and Rob McCarron in his Raw Reports were going on like this for a long while) Good facial expressions and a good heel yes but I would not consider her a superior talker. In fact I was just having this conversation the other day. Stephanie McMahon Helmsley > modern feminist working mom evil businesswoman. She at least showed vulnerability and would sell for pretty much everyone on the roster. Now she backs down from no one. As I mentioned earlier this week her and Shane should really leave TV but yeah Oh and she was awful on the draft show. Constantly mugging and not letting anyone else get a word in. Borderline unprofessional

Meltz says the original plan was for Balor to wrestle Owens at Clash of Champions and then build to a 3 way match with Jericho for Hell in a Cell in October. again the original plan for title was Reigns v Rollins. They could go back to that or have Owens win and then do Reigns v Owens v Jericho instead with Roman replacing Balor
-
Btw, making the rounds today that Rock is working his own angle to set up a .match with Vin Diesel at Wrestlemania next year to promote the next Fast and the Furious movie. If true and the way WWE crowds are today I could see them turning on that pretty quickly

Smackdown had its highest rating since the split. It deserved it for sure

Dave had a tidbit a few months back that Shane was not going to be around that much longer (or something to that effect). My guess is that the Brock match will be a way to write him out. Yes he'll get way too much offense and Brock will sell for him but he'll be dead at the end. Surprise that Stephanie is going to win this feud. The McMahons are probably the worst thing about wwe TV right now. They both need to go away

This show has smoked Raw
-
For fucks sake they are going to do Brock/Shane
-
Heath Slater is at a different level of fantastic
-
Stephanie fined Brock $500 for hurting Shane so there's the punch line
-
More i think about it my guess is that with Balor's injury they will go to heel champ Rollins being chased by Reigns which was the plan all along before Roman got pinched for wellness. Cass isn't winning. I was thinking Owens last night but I just can't picture Vince doing that. Roman of course but I think they want him chasing. Plus still have the Rusev stuff going on It's kinda funny that Reigns was supposed to go over Rollins three separate times, Sept 2014, November 2015 and this month. Vince won't stop till he gets that match and result I guess

PWI says the Dudley's retirement was a shoot. They are done with WWE. The idea was just to get some heat on the Club

I swear I remember people talking about a terrible ladder match with Shawn, making fun of his "serious face" and how he paused too much in his promos to a comical degree Again I might be only remembering the negative. I enjoyed it immensely but I do remember a bunch of criticism
-
I know this is sorta off topic but I don't recall Jericho's run in 2008/2009 getting much praise online. IIRC the general viewpoint was that it was " too little, too late" in regards to Jericho as a top guy and he was taking the spot of a potential younger star (although at that time WWE wasn't ripe with them). I can remember people laughing at the acting in the angles he did with Shawn. It seemed to be about 3 or 4 years people started talking about how good he really was during that period
-
No turn from Bubba. Was hoping for one. Looks like they are headed for a "one last run" for the Dudleys
-
To be honest kind of of a disappointing pop for Bayley. It was real good but I thought it would be deafening. Crowd getting more into this now though
-
Cass/Rusev and Reigns/Jericho the other matches. Again I assume Rusev and Reigns cancel each other out this week or next
-
I think Rusev will cost Reigns his match tonight. He wasn't out in the opening segment
-
Meltz was spot on in his analysis of Dolph/Ambrose on WOR. He said Vince thought Dolph winning the six way match was enough to give him credibility. It didn't work. AT all. No one last night thought he had a shot at winning the title. Sometimes it just comes down to that no matter how good the promo work in the buildup
-
PWI reporting Balor might have been seriously injured last night. He left wearing a sling. Being re evaluated today. This company can absolutely not catch a break these days. WCW levels
-
PWI saying Sasha lost the title because she's injured. No wellness violation
