  2. The only stuff I ever skip for time reasons is MMA, and then it depends on what's going on. If it's Joe Son or something, I'll listen. Some of the Japanese stuff isn't my strong suit but that just means I learn the most.
  3. One thing that Metalik's career has prepared him for is late match, full-body selling.
  4. Not mobile devices though.
  5. Also, there's a business need for the Cruiserweight Division. It wouldn't exist without the brand split and the need to fill the first hour of Nitro with these guys. Neither here nor there but the SD tag division seems more stacked to me. As natural as it is for Revival to end up on SD, I am thinking more and more that they go to Raw because New Day will need heel opponents.
  6. So you're not logged in with the same account in two places at once.
  7. I liked when he tried to reference Liger about the shooting star press and Bryan just shouted over him "LOOK AT THAT KICK!" or whatever.
  8. That was a spectacle. And it was a lot of what Sabre specifically WASN'T bringing to the table in the first two rounds.
  9. "Distinct detail-oriented, consequence-driven narratives." It's like we're making a resume here.
  10. That one I have seen. It's the Steamboat matches that I'd get punched in the face by a low ranked UFC prelim fighter to see.
  11. Do we know what else is unreleased from that collection? (Full disclosure: I want to see Bockwinkel in Greensboro from 79)

Del Rio losing his post-Rumble shot was pretty bad.
  13. Mascaras has looked pretty good in Houston. I think the big problem is that 80s AJPW tag matches suck.
  14. He mentioned her at least!
  15. When asked about Meltzer as a tape trader, McAdam (on 6:05) said that he didn't care about nostalgia or historical significance, just in seeing the four and five star matches.
  16. I was going to say that it was a finish that works better when more than half the crowd doesn't want the guy doing it to win, but the exception is if that guy is Eddy Guerrero or Negro Casas. AJ isn't though. They've booked Ambrose pretty well as champ so it was remarkable how thoroughly he was getting booed when he had an advantage at the end. This is Richmond too.
  17. Is this over the corner of the ropes camera angle new or have I just not been paying attention?
  18. Women's match from tonight was really quite good for a nine minute attraction match. Plus, Boesch calling a tapatia made my night.
  19. The problem here is that most wrestlers simply aren't good enough to create something that can realistically mimick the drama of real sports/fights, let alone create something really impressive artistically. Thankfully, Johnny Sorrow and myself are imaginative enough to fill in the gaps for everyone else.
  20. I (again) wish they differentiated things with women's tag titles on SD and Six man tag titles on Raw (perfect for New Day and killing time), and putting a 10-minute time limit on the IC belt to make it a TV title except for on PPVs (Miz would be great for that). Just anything but needless repetition. If they knew this would be a potential issue weeks ago, they should have let Ziggler into the match and done a round robin tournament with Styles, Ziggler, Ambrose tonight. I'm just full of unsolicited backseat ideas.
  21. Wrestling isn't a sport. It shouldn't be classified as a sport. It's way better than sports. People shouldn't compare the two or feel inadequate for whatever reason or overly laud real life toughness as a positive attribute except for in how it assists in artistic presentation. Not in 2016 at least.
  22. We would have had one liners if he won and we would have one-liners if he lost.
  23. I actually really liked Bugsy vs Lewin. Very effective stuff. It's no blip. Lewin was definitely way more over than Dusty in Houston, at least on that night. Same crowd. Same audio. It gives us a sense of how much Dusty was NOT over, actually. It wasn't just the way the mic-ing was that night. I like Lewin so much more as a babyface than a heel and McGraw played his role well. This was 13 minutes and angle-centric, but it was all really solid.
  24. I mean he did sort of achieve the american dream (give or take a lawsuit): "If you work hard enough, you can be as big an asshole as you want without repercussions." Good for him on that.
  25. I'd be happy for Tito Santana if he wanted to start an unlikely new career, let me tell you that.
