To be fair, Angle never actually mat wrestled. Whoever said this felt like a house show was close. It feels like a Saudi show.

So the upside here, my old friends, is that this show has only been going for 2 hours and not 4 like when we normally get to see Shane.

Granted, in 18 months, he'll be in backstage skits dressed like a giant chicken, but it'll be ok for a while!

Omos reacting to everything that he was doing was pretty great, actually. All the stuff between moves was leaps and bounds better than the usual stuff you get out of a giant rookie and better than Khali/Gonzales ever got.

I'm finding it fairly creative heel-in-peril stuff to keep Styles from tagging. I don't think it's the sort of match that you can do more than once or twice though. @Jmare007 I'm on the same wavelength with you here at least.

It's going to be Undertaker at Survivor Series 90 level given the build of the match so far.

I'm ready to see what Omos can do already, but I love that Woods was distracting Styles by playing his TNA theme a couple of weeks ago.

If you're going to go longer, have some sort of narrative. This has just been pretty back and forth. It's been hard hitting with big impacts and somewhat of a build of bigger moves and violence but it needed more than that. If they're going to cool Lashley off by making him more heelish and doing the bounty angle, actually play that up in the match itself and make some sort of narrative out of it! Have Lashley show that vulnerability and paranoia (while still being powerful and dangerous) instead of it just being detached from the last month of TV. Use the build as a tool.

Would this have been better if they didn't spend the last month cooling off Lashley?

At least the guys on the hard camera side are really into this.
