  1. Mark Madden has his say: http://www.wrestlezone.com/editorials/2612...-of-three-divas
  2. And with this one ROH didn't spellcheck their apology. Check out the last line for a flavour: http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-sto...g-ippv-problems Mike Johnson took it upon himself to correct it other outlets didn't.
  3. The strangest thing about Adam Cole and given the online reaction to it he thought Ric Flair on his Highspots shoot interview was actually cool and was the sole inspiration for him taking up the habit himself.
  4. If anything Adam is a pretty boy less sarcastic CM Punk. Poor Matt.
  5. Read the comments section: http://www.mmafighting.com/2012/9/13/33295...d-to-understand A new audience gets exposed to Dave's grammar and run on sentences.
  6. Monday's Raw was a bit of a blur for obvious reasons but according to the Observer there was a massive "Buy Laprade's Book" sign visible during the Orton-Punk match. Wish we could.
  7. I don't think Bret has any wiggle room since he took such a hardline but and there is a but to my understanding word had gotten round that Lawler was in a stable condition before than segment.
  8. Him in the WKO 2013 is a warm thought legitimately.
  9. From Michael Cole to his own doctor are saying Lawler is fine to wrestle. Just wow.
  10. Bruce Mitchell's HOF ballot: John Cena Edge Andersons Assassins Ivan Koloff Lou Albano Jim Crockett Noteworthy statements:
  11. DYLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bwcfil...nship-wrestling Holy shit. I guess the show on F4W helped?
  12. Bill Apter looks really crushed:
  13. Worth pointing out they covered historical/long term candidates last year as they did mention on this year's podcast. You should listen to that if you think those those guys are some what short sighted historically. It may or may not change your opinion. I thought Alan made a strong pro-Lesnar case and responded to the counter points fairly well. But I see what you mean, Dylan he has made up his mind and isn't moving. Alan thought Edge was a slam dunk last year while Todd thought Edge wasn't a slam dunk but one of the stronger members on the (very strong and competitive) ballot. Can I post this in the show thread on F4W?
  14. Just woke up to this news. Jerry has the heart of a lion I hope he fights through this.
  15. Jeff Katz outted himself as having a ballot on twitter: AKA the Wrestling Retribution Project guy who worked for WCW from age 16 doing the WCW hotline and writing for the magazine & website. Of course Associate Producer of Snakes On A Plane too.
  16. Will anyone here with a sub be listening to this: http://www.f4wonline.com/component/content...or-hall-of-kane Wonder what people here think about Alan's case for Lesnar. Essentially and crucially it is the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame Dave does treat Pro Wrestling & MMA has this heavily interrelated thing in his coverage - whether we like it or not. Therefore is in no question that he is a Yes. Whereas Justin semi in jest thinks Kane is a stronger candidate just via the virtue of being a Pro Wrestler for more than 2 years and change. Todd makes the point that it is a Wrestling Hall of Fame citing the fact that Dave had an MMA Hall of Fame. Also Todd states Brock was vehement about not representing of the Hall of Fame in comparison to Sakaraba who flew the Pro Wrestling flag to a ludicrous and endearing degree. Even in saying that Todd thinks Sakaraba being in the Hall of Fame was mistake as Todd - a Sakaraba advocate over time increasingly has viewed MMA & Pro Wrestling as separate genres. Alan still held on to his opinion citing Brock used Pro Wrestling tactics to draw money in UFC but would completely understand if someone completely disregarded Lesnar's MMA run when voting as it comes down to how you feel about what the linkage is. Todd in jest cited Mayweather as and Justin Rodman using "Pro Wrestling tactics" in their respective fields. Please be advised this is a thumbnail summary of an extended and involved debate - the most detailed I've heard on Lesnar to date.
  17. Yes. I've praised it everywhere a million times to the degree I am self concious about it. Just a jarringly high end Wrestling magazine from a writing, choice of articles and production stand point.
  18. It is the most current one Issue 84/Cena cover. You being in the US this is your best avenue:
  19. Another great issue with a high standard of writing. Particularly liked Alan's Devitt article and I continue to think Lister is doing something important documenting British Wrestling history in the magazine. Luke's article was one of my favourite articles ever put out by FSM. I was expecting a joyless lecture in a Lance Storm or Les Thatcher style. But this was completely different in how it tackled the subject - opting to tackle it from an academic perspective. Would love if Dylan and Dave did a podcast inspired by it as it is very Wrestling Culture maybe even tracking down Luke.
  20. Callihan had a weird year this year due being courted by WWE and taking a lower profile. The WWE thing seemed to die on the vine as a result of all the personnel changes in Talent Relations. He is kinda BACK as of tonight working that EVOLVE/CZW double shot but unfortunately for Sami that goof Masada seems to have smashed up a number of Sami's teeth, broken a few ribs and gave him a concussion. The match itself was utter shit too.
  21. I am obviously on a hiding to nothing debating this here. I actually don't understand what you are saying here. As in literally I don't know what you are saying I'm also not looking for a debate. I'm quite serious in asking what I need to see. I will grant that I'm not likely to think it's as good as you do because I think most modern Japan is boring/comically bad, but if this guy is being talked up as some sort of shoe-in among WON faithful I should probably at least give the matches a chance Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi (NJPW) (16/06) Kazuchika Okada vs. Tetsuya Naito (NJPW) (04/03) The Naito match is my personal preference but has gotten the most play despite being from June it only surface online the past 10 days or so. It got your standard buzz from Japanese Wrestling watchers but then it turned into a bit of a sensation the chatter bleed over to Twitter and more general WWE/TNA dominated Wrestling forums. Just got passed around and around due to the universal praise. Only then Meltzer did a cover story about New Japan (due to a slow news week/UFC 151 being cancelled) this week which ramped up the word of mouth even more. From my POV the most watched Japanese match online by a great distance. Video of some guy with excellent punches wrestling on a fairground isn't ever going to mobilise people to that degree. As he thinks modern Japanese is boring/comically bad. Okada has been hitting home runs on a big match level since he won the title. On a sidenote that dub step dance routine finishing stretch which I have never seen in dub step is becoming pervasive as fuck. Paige did the Rainmaker setup on NXT and Wade Barrett returned on Smackdown doing the Rainmaker but an elbow smash rather than a clothesline. It is the new Lungblower/Backcracker/Codebreaker so get used to it!
  22. I am obviously on a hiding to nothing debating this here.
  23. Your finger isn't on the pulse AT ALL. Okada will win that, Most Improved and Best Wrestling Maneuver standing on his head - likely Match of the Year too. I am voting for him too. Lou Thesz/Ric Flair Award is has no clear winner in my IMO. Cena is probably the best draw but Daniel Bryan has been all singing and all dancing sports entertainment wise even if it has been one of the weaker in ring years for him bar some highlights like his match with Sheamus at Extreme Rules.
  24. Dave JUST posted there is roughly 200 on the panel.
