World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired August 3, 1991 (Taped July 9, 1991) Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton, ALB Rockers vs Ed Moretti & Mike Roselli Update: recap of Jake Roberts from last week’s Funeral Parlour and Gene Okerlund informs us that the Ultimate Warrior has accepted Jake’s offer to help him. We are then shown a video of Jake helping the Warrior to ‘exorcise’ by encouraging him to lie in a casket, which Jake then locks shut. When he opens the casket, Jake says that the Warrior has the look of the Undertaker in his eyes. Jake is superb in this, but the Warrior is laughable with his acting. The Dragon vs Brooklyn Brawler Natural Disasters (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs Stax Saxson & Doug Casen INT: Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior - promoting the Summerslam main event. Gene Okerlund introduces Sid Justice who comes out, shakes Hogan and the Warrior’s hands and then raises their arms. However, when Okerlund insinuates he might be favouring them he snaps, snarls and says again that he’ll make sure “Justice is served.” Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) vs Brian Jewel Summerslam Report Sgt. This program will now be extended to test for anabolic steroids and will be the standard bearer for all sports. This means that when you see this symbol (points to the WWF logo), you can be assured of drug free sports entertainment.” Hilarious! They say that it doesn’t matter who the special referee will be, and then Gene Okerlund introduces him, Sid Justice. The Sarge and his cronies start clapping and applauding this, but when Slaughter tries to shake Justice’s hand and welcome him to the Corp, Sid says he is part of no-ones Corp, and is there to make sure that Justice is served at Summerslam. World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired July 6, 1991 (Taped June 17, 1991) Arco Arena, Sacramento, CA Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) vs Rob Allen - Roddy Piper and Vince McMahon again spend the whole match talking about Randy Savage proposing to Miss Elizabeth. INT: Miss Elizabeth - Gene Okerlund speculates that wedding bells may be in the future, but she doesn’t know. Then when he asks her about Randy Savage, she says she “loves that man,” which prompts Savage to leave the broadcast booth and make his way down to ringside. Savage says that he loves her, produces a ring, gets down on one knee and says “Elizabeth, will you marry me?” She repies “Oh yeah,” the crowd gives them a standing ovation and Roddy Piper and Vince McMahon get all excited on commentary. Jones Update: recap of the Mountie’s attack on Big Bossman. Ted Dibiase (w/ Sensational Sherri) vs Randy Fox Kerry Von Erich vs Brooklyn Brawler Earthquake (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs Kevin Kruger - after the match Hart makes his big announcement and says that he has signed a new tag team, and that Andre the Giant will be joining forces with Earthquake. Gene Okerlund can’t believe it so invites Andre to come down to the ring. Gene reminds him how he turned down all the other managers and asks him if he signed a contract with Jimmy Hart, to which he replies “No.” As Andre has his hands on Hart, Earthquake attacks him in the leg from behind with the megaphone, then proceeds to splash and attack the leg of the prone Giant. As Andre struggles to make it back to the dressing room, Vince McMahon speculates that it could be the end of Andre’s career. Andre says anything, to which she replies anything, he then bends her over the bar and spanks her, rebuffing the offer. World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired April 13, 1991 (Taped March 25, 1991) Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV Kerry Von Erich vs Black Knight Update: recap of Jake Roberts and Earthquake from last week’s show. Earthquake then warns Jake to keep the snake away from him. The Berzerker (w/ Mr Fuji) vs Jim Kolhep Bret Hart vs Barry O Nasty Boys (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs Stephen DeLeon & Riki Ataki Funeral Parlour w/ Ultimate Warrior - Paul Bearer says how everyone has declined his invitation to visit the Funeral Parlour until the Warrior, who is the first to accept. Bearer unveils a special casket that he has made for him, and says that the Warrior is scared to get in the ring with the Undertaker. As the Warrior says how he fears no man, not even death, he is attacked from behind by the Undertaker who was hiding in an upright coffin. Undertaker ends up locking the Warrior in the custom built casket that they made for him, and then the two of them just walk off. A bunch of agents come out and struggle to get the casket open. When they do, they start performing CPR on the Warrior, with the commentators speculating that he had stopped breathing. Great angle. Tugboat vs Brooklyn Brawler Irwin R. Transpires that Earthquake is afraid of snakes, and Jake ended up chasing him to the back with Damien. Adnan from Superstars & Stripes Forever. Hulk Hogan then dedicates the title match at Wrestlemania VII to all the troops and forces. Earthquake (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs Scotty Williams - as the Quake was about to deliver another Earthquake splash, the mysterious masked man comes out to stop him, knocking him to the floor, then chasing Hart to the back. The Viking (w/ Mr Fuji) vs Dan Brazil INT: Ultimate Warrior - says that he will bury Randy Savage at Wrestlemania VII, and that the Undertaker & Paul Bearer should look him up as he will require their services. Ted Dibiase vs Kevin Greeno - Virgil makes his way to ringside and distracts Dibiase who then gets out of the ring to confront him, they start arguing and Dibiase is counted out allowing Greeno to get the win.
