Slaughter vs Hulk Hogan (from The Main Event) Demolition (w/ Mr Fuji) vs Pez Whatley & Mike Wallace Undertaker (w/ Brother Love) vs William Ford Sgt. Slaughter (w/ Gen. Adnan) vs Jim Duggan (end only, from The Main Event) INT: Hulk Hogan (from the Main Event) Shane Douglas vs Dale Wolfe Ted Dibiase & Virgil vs Dusty & Dustin Rhodes (clips, from the Royal Rumble) INT: Ted Dibiase Mr Perfect (w/ Bobby Heenan) vs Kerry Von Erich - with Kerry in the ascendancy Heenan runs to the back to summon reinforcements, but is dragged back through the curtain and to the ring by the Big Bossman. Perfect steps out of the ring, and when the Bossman’s back is turned, dropkicks him into the ring steps. Von Erich then goes after Perfect and they fight at ringside. He posts Perfect and jumps back in the ring just in time to beat the ten count. Gene Okerlund breaks some ‘unconfirmed news’ that the Ultimate Warrior has challenged Randy Savage, and that in return Savage ahas challenged the Warrior in what will be a career ending match. World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired December 30, 1989 (Taped December 13, 1989) Huntsville, AL Dusty Rhodes (w/ Sapphire) vs Mark Davis WWF Update: Gene Okerlund announces that the Royal Rumble will take place on January 21, 1990 Dino Bravo (w/ Canadian Earthquake & Jimmy Hart) vs Reno Riggins - despite having Riggins beat, Bravo continued to lift him up at the count of two rather than pinning him. This leads to the Ultimate Warrior running down to attack Bravo and he ends up clotheslining him over the top rope to the floor. He goes out after him but is distracted by the Canadian Earthquake who has got in the ring, and with his back turned and now up on the apron to go after the Earthquake, Bravo hits him in the back with a chair. He continues to beat on him until a bunch of referees come out and usher him to the back. Hercules vs Conquistador #I Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) vs Mario Mancini Brother Love show w/ Jake Roberts - to promote the Royal Rumble. Love says how he might do very well as he is a loner and has lots of enemies in the Rumble itself. The Bossman then goes out to her which brings out Dusty who comes to her aid, lifts her over the guard rail and she leaves with him. Brutus Beefcake vs Alan Reynolds Brother Love show/ Rick Rude & Bobby Heenan - Rude tells Roddy Piper that the man who will defeat him is the very monster he created; by costing him his Intercontinental title at Summerslam, by paying off the women to say his breath stinks and by claiming he’ll put him in a diaper. He states that even though his shin is injured, his Figure Four is more powerful than it has ever been, at which point Garvin makes his way out. He says that Valentine injured his ankle with the Figure Four and he has been to see Jack Tunney to get permission to wear a special shin guard of his own. He then says that he has his own leglock and it will be hold against hold. Miller Dusty Rhodes vs Rusty Riddle - Dusty goes and dances with one of his fans post-match (the first appearance of Sapphire) NES presents the Red Rooster Mr Perfect plays Horseshoe perfectly and says that Hulk Hogan can’t do that Honky Tonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs Jimmy Snuka - Honky is DQ’d after hitting Snuka in the head with his guitar. He hits him twice, but Snuka no sells the shots. Hercules playing Wrestlemania on the NES Andre the Giant & Haku (w/ Bobby Heenan) vs Todd Becker & Ray Oakley Brother Love show w/ Roddy Piper - Piper says that last time he was on the show he was humiliated, but says how they didn’t expect him to just let that go and not do anything about it did they? There has been no sign of Love, but Piper has been carrying a rope, and says that he is the ‘King of Humiliation’ and wants Rude to take note. He brings out someone on the end of the rope and under a sheet and it turns out to be Brother Love tied up and wearing a diaper, and he says how everyone has to pay the Piper. World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired November 11, 1989 (Taped October 2, 1989) Wheeling Civic Center, Wheeling, WV Roddy Piper vs Brooklyn Brawler WWF Update: recap of the tag title change from last week’s show Mr Perfect (w/ The Genius) vs Bill Woods Bushwhackers vs Bob Emory & Craig Brown Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) vs Trent Knight INT: Hulk Hogan & Jake Roberts & Demolition Jimmy Snuka vs Tony Burton Brother Love show w/ Bobby Heenan & Andre the Giant & Haku - Heenan guarantees that the tag titles are coming back to the Heenan Family, and they are coming to the Colossal Connection. Survivor Series Report Dino Bravo feat of strength - Bravo does some push ups with Jimmy Hart on his back, but Gene Okerlund is not impressed. Hart then says Bravo will let him choose the largest fan in the audience and he will sit on Dino’s back whilst he does push ups. Hart scans the audience and they find a big man sat in the crowd who they invite to come and jointhem in the ring. Okerlund asks him a couple of questions and we find out his name is John and he weighs 461 lbs. Bravo then proceeds to do five push ups with John sat on his back and then says how no-one else in the world can do that. Okerlund then introduces the Ultimate Warrior and he gets into the push up position and John gets on his back. They end up double teaming and attacking him with John splashing him a few times. World Wrestling Federation Superstars of Wrestling Aired September 9, 1989 (Taped August 8, 1989) Oakland - Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland, CA Brutus Beefcake vs Chuck Campbell WWF Update: recap of Andre the Giant’s attack on Ultimate Warrior from two weeks ago Widow Maker vs Louie Spiccoli INT: Hillbilly Jim Demolition vs Boris Zhukov & Jake Milliman Big Bossman (w/ Slick) vs Bob Allen - Bossman is giving Allen the post match beating when Dusty Rhodes makes the save. He nails him with a nightstick and cuffs him, but before he can cuff him to the ropes Slick distracts him and the Bossman gets out of the ring, not before Dusty has stolen another nightstick though. Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) vs Jim Evans Brother Love show w/ Roddy Piper - Piper is carrying a bag and when Love starts insulting him making fun of his kilt etc. he then says how Love has bad breath and needs a lesson in hygene. He opens his bag and takes out dental floss and shoves it in his mouth, then quirts toothpaste in his mouth and rubs it on his face, followed by squirting shampoo in his hair. At this point Bobby Heenan comes out and distracts Piper which enables Rick Rude to sneak up from behind on him. He gets some mouthwash out of Piper’s bag and squirts it in his face ‘blinding’ him and ends up giving him a Rude Awakening neckbreaker on the set. A bunch of agents come out and Rude spits more mouthwash in Piper’s face, he starts swinging wildly and hits a couple of the agents before they finally calm him down and restore things. Ware - Ron Garvin makes his way down to ringside to keep an eye on Valentine and takes a seat next to Howard Finkel. Valentine is about to put the Figure Four on Ware but Garvin gets up and tells the referee that he has altered the position of his shin guard. Valentine goes over to Garvin but Ware rolls him up from behind for the pin.
