You know Russo would've turned Robocop heel.

Sam Mushnick Memorial Tournament - St. Louis, MO - Kiel Auditorium - August 29, 1986 (sell out) Opening Round: Harley Race defeated B. Brian Blair Don Muraco fought Greg Valentine to a double disqualification Adrian Adonis defeated King Tonga The Junkyard Dog defeated Hercules Brutus Beefcake defeated Lanny Poffo Pedro Morales defeated Dory Funk Jr. Billy Jack Haynes defeated Jimmy Jack Funk Ricky Steamboat defeated Jim Brunzell Quarter Finals: The Junkyard Dog defeated Adrian Adonis Brutus Beefcake defeated Pedro Morales Ricky Steamboat defeated Billy Jack Haynes Semi Finals: Harley Race defeated the Junkyard Dog Ricky Steamboat defeated Brutus Beefcake Finals: Harley Race defeated Ricky Steamboat Non-tournament match: Paul Orndorff defeated WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan via disqualification This was my first show I attended. I would've been 8 at the time. The old Kiel was a dingy old building. You could still smoke in there at the time, and I remember feeling like everyone in there must've been. Looks like a really fun card, but I mostly just remember Hogan/Orndorff. People started pelting the ring with trash as soon as Ordorff and Heenan came out. It went on most of the match. Everyone went nuts when Hogan won and did his posing. I was probably hooked on wrestling before this show, but this sealed the deal.

What's this?

I was at this show. I remember the three-way being pretty insane at the time. Also, the Schneider Comps have quite a bit of stuff on them from IWA MS around 01-02 or so. Don't know if all of that stuff is in the list above.
-
You also have to remember that Liz NEVER got physically involved in things. She might run a distraction or something, but she never touched anyone. Her grabbing Sherri was a big holy shit moment.

Damn. Valentine did not like him some Native Americans. They should've repackaged him as Greg "The Smallpox Blanket" Valentine.
-
It was probably Kidman. I thought he was working for them, but couldn't tell if it was him or not.

Alright. Just saw the pull-apart between Lesnar and Cena on Raw. When the agents came out, who was the Italian-looking dude in the suit? I saw Regal, Dustin, Noble and DeMott, but couldn't place that guy.

A thread in which Dylan compares various wrestlers to HHH

It may have come up in this thread, but why the hell would someone choose a weapon as their signature weapon that is damn near impossible to deliver a decent looking worked blow with? It's phallic and helps him with his insecurities about his balls shrinking? He does seem to stroke it a bit before using it. -

Will needs to do a big 'ol best of IWAMS comp. Forget ROH, PWG, whoever. I'll take IWA eight days of the week. Never has there been a more fascinating indy promotion. Hell, are they actually dead? Are they running shows? Really, Will. Do it. Send Ian twenty bucks for the rights, and get on it!

WWE Creative really cares about me. Sometimes they just have a hard time showing it. I know they've let me down all those times before, but this time is going to be different. They've changed. Really. This? Oh, I fell down. I'm so clumsy sometimes.

That's funny after reading Goodhelmet's take on the match.

There's obviously a couple of people taking a picture here at the same time. Luckily Shawn can look at both of them.

I've never really thought of it that way. But it's pretty much true, isn't it? Dusty did a lot of that stuff (AND did a lot of developmental work) but bigger. Did Dusty ever actually own a company? And I'd say Lawler did a better job staying over with his audience.

I'd like to believe that that is actually how guys are fired from FCW. -
It took me a little while to get used to guys immediately submitting when put in holds. Now, after years of seeing dudes in the US and Japan sitting in a submissions for forever in matches, I really like it. Especially since it makes it mean more when a guy does fight to the ropes in a big match.

Kinda sounds like something Hogan would say. Although, he'd just say it on a radio show or something.

What's Robert's deal with this place. Seems to have a real chip.

Alright, I'm dense. Explain this part to me. -
To flip it around...would it be sexist to only want to watch women wrestle?
-
For Christ's sake! The dude calls himself BUBBA THE FUCKING LOVE SPONGE! He should never have a minute in his day where he's not being punched. Preferably by large black women.
-
I don't think wanting to beat him up qualifies as a psychological issue. Who doesn't want to punch that guy?
-
Yeah, probably should have been obvious to me.
