El-P Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 It's kinda surrealistic to watch Angle in ECW 3 years before he debuted. The Taz confrontation is quite great too : "You maybe a great amateur.... but I'm a great professionnal". Taz could be so great at times. Quote
Zenjo Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 The tone of this was really well judged. Respectful of an Olympic champion and the sport of amateur wrestling whilst also putting over pro wrestling. Quote
PeteF3 Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Styles passive-aggressively takes shots at Olympic silver medalist Matt Ghaffari--who was in negotiations with WCW at this time--and future ECW Champion Mark Henry. That leads to the introduction of gold medalist Kurt Angle. Angle is a long way away from knowing anything about pro wrestling at this point. Little Guido gets his amateur credentials put over by Styles while he also puts over Angle. Taz is out next--he could have been an Olympian, but he'd rather make money. Quote
soup23 Posted May 27, 2017 Report Posted May 27, 2017 Angle gets a nice reception. Taz comes out and looks cool as shit with his tracksuit junkies. He gives Kurt some props but also teases some tension and lets him know who the pro really is. Quote
