Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Before, it was 10 Syracuse thugs. Now it's 9 thugs. We get the famous bruised shot of Shawn Michaels before the match looking sad at having dropped the title. Shawn is wearing a blue Pelle Pelle leather jacket with red and yellow checkers on it, along with business casual clothes. How have I never noticed this before? Anyway, this needed to go on because it sums up the Douglas/Clique stuff so well -- terrible match with no heat with Douglas dropping the belt to Razor. This is the Clique stuff in full effect, and they don't seem to be cooperating well at all.
Tim Evans
Man what a awful awful finish. I kinda feel bad for Shane here. Razor looks like he just couldn't give a shit. Before the match, we see Dok in the slam jam studios. I always hated that keyboard that played the entrance themes.
Smack2k
Fuck you clique...here anyway.... God forbid a few week reign with Douglas as champ while Shawn gets better and Razor chases for a while. Razor was in teh break up feud tagging with Kid all the time, NO NEED to be IC Champ....let Douglas and another duke this one out for a while... This goes back to me saying Owen should have got the title via nefarious means after pinning Shawn at the Sept IYH and then beating him in a "held-up" rematch via nefarious means again..... PeteF3
Dok Hendrix is in some living room set-up playing wrestlers' entrance music on his keyboard, introducing this after the fact. Shawn definitely looks like hell. Bad match between two guys with absolutely zero chemistry. Dean attempts to make something of this toward the end, busting out a reverse flying bodypress and a nice dropkick, but Razor wins with an absolutely horrible finish. cactus
This was meant to be Douglas versus HBK, but Michaels was injured by being beaten up outside a bar and is forced to forfeit his title to Douglas. Seeing Douglas doesn't have an opponent tonight, Ramon is doing double duty. This was a much poorer match than their In Your House 3 encounter, with an even weaker finish. This has a lazy performance from Razor. Perhaps because he was still tired from wrestling earlier on the show or if he saw how terrible this show was becoming and decided to phone it in and coast by on his charisma alone. He grabs an arm and works for a while as Dean tries to inject some personality into this bout by shouting his head off as Ramon tortures him. The horrible finish sees Ramon land a back suplex near the ropes. Douglas has his foot on the ropes, but the referee doesn't see this and counts the pin. Ramon becomes the first-ever man to hold the Intercontinental strap four times, but it's shame this milestone happened after such an underwhelming match. ★½
