Loss
Buddy Landell has a new lease on life and is excited for Christmas Chaos. He wishes DWB's old lady would stop calling him, which gets Jim Ross very angry. He says in spite of his problems, just like Elvis Presley never lost his voice, Buddy never lost his ability to wrestle. Fantastic. Next is Cactus and the pointless Brian Lee. He actually speaks here! We get another brief Cactus poem. Also great. SMW has the two best interviews in wrestling now. Ooh, make it three, as The Gangstas are out. soup23
Buddy talking about low battle royals pay offs saying he spills that much money in liquor in a year was great and he is a welcome character to SMW. Cactus is so intense in this feud and is bringing a lot of hatred and believability to the Boots/Boo storyline that could have been incredibly goofy if not played correctly. Gangsters are still awesome and have a presence and New Jack cuts a good promo on Cornette and the Rock N Rolls
El-P
It's fun to see how Cactus really came out of his shell after leaving WCW, although his last few weeks there had him cutting great promos on Sullivan too. It's interesting to realize that his role in both promotions would be to deal with an abused simple-minded guy. The difference being Dave Sullivan was godawful while Boo Bradley worked well and the angle actually got interesting quick as Cac brought the hatred and intensity to it. I guess Brian Lee is waiting for someone to show him the money at this point.
PeteF3
Buddy Landell loves Buddy Landell to death! DWB rents, Landell owns. Budro is such a breath of fresh air to the singles heel side. Cornette has shown everyone how it's done when it comes to booking a "special" babyface. He's put sympathy on Boo without removing the elements of danger to the feud--Boo is believable as an unhinged guy who's making his own bed despite his mistreatment. And Cactus as a deranged babyface brings a much-needed edge to a gimmick like this. The Year of Topical References Continues as Ross and New Jack make references to the (first) 2Pac shooting.
