Loss
Disc 6 is all about the great heel promos. Tony Atlas does a solid promo reminding Roadblock and Tom Pritchard that he *is* the ICW champ. Tom Pritchard makes him want to vomit, and Atlas promises him that he's in for a "good whuppin'". Lots of steroid references toward Roadblock. Remember when it was okay to mention steroids in promos?
PeteF3
VQ still makes it hard to understand Atlas, but he makes threats towards Rochester Roadblock, who's only challenging him because he's pumped full of steroids, and Tom Prichard. He wraps it up with an Elmer Fudd laugh! Tony also looks like a legit psycho badass--actually for a second I thought this was a way-early New Jack promo. soup23
Tony does look like a bad ass and from what I could make out he did a decent job calling out Tom pritchard and Roadblock.
Kevin Ridge
Atlas makes a steroids reference to Roadblock as overgrown monkeys. Pritchard makes him want to vomit. Entertaining delivery.
Cox
Where was this Tony Atlas the rest of his career? He wasn't known for being a good promo at all, but the heel promos on the set so far have been really good.
garretta
The content wasn't much different than you'd find in a lot of different promos around this time, including the potshots at Tyson for losing his title, but the delivery continues to amaze me, considering what a marblemouth Tony was in the WWF. He could lose the laugh, though; it does nothing for his image. Did the Rochester Roadblock ever amount to anything?
drew wardlaw
Another cool David Lynch audio quality ICW promo from Atlas. I didn't know what was going on, but I enjoyed the ride.
GSR
Tony Atlas says that one thing which makes him sick to his stomach is to see some big, overgrown monkey, who because he went to the doctors and got himself pumped full of steroids, who because he’s over six feet tall and over 300lbs of baby fat, thinks he can be in the ring with him? He thinks he’s a wrestler? He’s never drawn a dime, never been anywhere and has the audacity to step in the ring with him? He tells Roadblock if he thinks for one minute that he’s got something on him, then he’s doing something that is very hard for a man of his vocabulary to do, and that’s think! Then there is Tom Prichard running around here, and all he does is make Atlas want to vomit all over him! The only thing he is going to get is a whipping. This isn’t one of those snot nosed brats he’s been wrestling in the past, this isn’t one of those over grown monkeys pumped full of steroids, its 16 years of experience talking to him. No matter what Roadblock or Tom Prichard do, they’ll never get the gold. The belt belongs to him, he ain’t no champ like Mike Tyson! The audio is still awful and I had to turn the volume right up to hear this. Atlas is not a bad heel promo at all, still rough around the edges, but a lot better than I imagined. The irony of Atlas talking about other people being pumped full of steroids while implying he’s clean though! Come on Tony!
