PeteF3 Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 WrestleMania in the LA Sports Arena = THE TERRORISTS WON. Quote
soup23 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 We didn't get the 100,000 number thrown out in this clip but it is pretty crazy that Vince thought this was feasible and how badly reduced it ended up being. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Next WrestleMania at Los Angeles Collesium. Damn terrorists for making them switch venues. Be interesting if they take a run at the 100K mark in new Cowboys stadium some day. Quote
Cox Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I remember seeing the commercial for Wrestlemania VII at the LA Memorial Coliseum for months and months, which I guess should a pretty big hint that ticket sales were slow. For some reason, I didn't even notice on show day that the event was taking place inside of an arena and not inside a cavernous football stadium, but I guess Young 11 Year Old Cox cared more about Hogan vs Slaughter and Savage vs Warrior than he did about what venue the show was taking place in. garretta Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 At the time, I thought it was weird that they were hyping Mania VII a year in advance. Maybe Vince knew ahead of time what an uphill climb selling out the Coliseum would be. If that was true, he was more right than he ever dreamed possible. Quote
GSR Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 ‘Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, site of Superbowls, the World Series, the Olympics, and now the site of Wrestlamania VII. The event that will shatter all past Coliseum attendance records on March 24th 1991’ If only they knew… Quote
