Gene Okerlund is reading all about Hulk Hogan's children's vitamins.

 

They show a clip of Bad News Brown being interviewed. Gene has found out his birthday, and Bad News isn't crazy about him knowing that. He presents him with a birthday present. It's a rubber snake, which freaks him out. Bad News demands answers and wants to know who gave him that snake.

 

Meanwhile, Jake reveals that the gift was from him. He says he was just trying to make him happy, since he always has such a chip on his shoulder.

Good Lord, I'm not sure if this is as weak of an excuse for a feud as Chris Jericho spilling coffee on Kane, but it's not far behind. A paranoid Bad News Brown, after declaring that he fears no one, is scared to death by a birthday gift of a rubber snake. He takes his frustrations out on Okerlund. Jake tries to sell this, as does Bad News, but two guys with characters this strong and unique and as good on the mic as they were are deserving of a better program background than this.

Did Bad News ever have a good WWF feud. This seemed thrown together just because.

Bad News Brown gets all upset that Gene knows he will be celebrating his birthday. Okerlund has a present for Brown which is a rubber snake. Bad News roughs up Mean Gene for being involved in this. That was deserving.

Hey wait a minute, Bad News Brown's birthday is in October! Something isn't on the up and up about this, if you catch my drift.

How else do you bring together two guys who really have no other reason to interact? I admit that this is rather cheesy for a beginning of a feud, but even the marks knew that neither of these two was ever going to be a serious contender for a belt again, so one way to start a feud was as good as another, I guess. I don't remember this pairing being nearly as good as it could have been.

From the pages of the WWF Magazine, it’s update! It recaps Bad News’ appearance on Wrestling Challenge from last week where he is being interviewed by Mean Gene. Gene has it on good authority that it is his birthday, although Bad News is a bit perturbed about how he found this out. Okerlund has a present for him and after initially claiming he doesn’t want it, Bad News snatches it from him. He opens the present and immediately jumps back, seemingly scared of something. Okerlund checks what was in there and pulls a rubber snake out and fins it amusing that he was scared of this. Bad News starts threatening Gene trying to find out who gave him the present and says that when he does find out, they’re going to be sorry.

 

Back in the control room and Gene says that before his lawyers deal with Mr Brown, he feels Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts will have a few things to say to Bad News Brown. Roberts says that birthdays are happy occasions and all he was trying to do was put a smile on his face. He wishes him a ‘Happy Birthday’ and hopes that he enjoyed his present!
