Loss Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 This IWA stuff must have been pretty deep in the can by the time it made TV, as JYD was working on top in WCW by this time. Here, he's hyping an upcoming match with Lawler, which was likely already in the past. Quote
soup23 Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Glad to hear that stuff was in the can because I was really confused and was about to go searching to see if JYD was already gone from WCW. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 Junkyard is in the IWA to face Lawler. JYD could still talk. Quote
Cox Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 Shockingly, JYD does not blow up during this promo. Quote
garretta Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 I have a pretty good idea just how far in the can this was: December 1, 1989, when JYD defeated Lawler by disqualification at a show in Palmetto, Florida. Interestingly enough, wrestlingdata.com doesn't list the promotion's name as IWA or anything else, so this interview may be for a scheduled show at some point in early '90 that never came off. Nothing new from JYD here, at any rate. Anyone know who did the interview? Quote
drew wardlaw Posted May 10, 2016 Report Posted May 10, 2016 Good thing I read the thread because I had no idea what was happening here. Quote
GSR Posted January 10, 2017 Report Posted January 10, 2017 Has the Dog left the NWA already? He’s got a match in the IWA against Jerry Lawler, and like most of the interviews in this federation it sounds like a stock interview he’s cutting for a new market. He talks about every dog needing a bone to chew on and he’s found himself a bone. Then says how he’s looking forward to coming to the IWA and he’s been to the mountain top once, is coming twice, is going to knock, blink, and here he is! Quote
