Rude works a squash and they tear into Boss Man's mother again in the post-match.

Rude murders somebody and is informed by Bobby after the match that Heenan's staff was unable to find anyone in the arena who wasn't an ugly, tattooed, IQ-of-3 redneck so no Rude Awakening. But no one in the arena is as ugly as the Boss Man's mother.

 

1991 WWF is going to be a breath of fresh air. Give me some damned feuds built around attempted murder and not rubber snakes and yo' mama jokes.

Brain laughing at Rude killing the dude made me smile.

 

Afterwards we get a Rude promo not saying much of note and showing clips of females in the audience Rude would approve of and others that he wouldn't.

Rude wins his match with a couple punches and the Rude Awakening. Bobby has found the special lady for Rude. Heenan refers to Bossman’s mother as a ugly dog. Seems lazy reason to come up with a feud.

The future Headbanger Thrasher, Glen Ruth, is the unnamed opponent this time around.

More pointlessness with Rude and Bossman's mom. I still can't buy Rude as the mastermind behind all this; it would make more sense for Heenan to tell Rude what to say, not the other way around.

 

Nice mention of Piper's previous history with Rude, especially concerning the Rude Awakening (the finisher, not the kiss), which he took at least once on national TV when Rude attacked him during The Brother Love Show.

Don't like the storyline but I enjoyed the squash match and the Rude Awakening looked nasty here.
