Loss
I couldn't get into this. This match isn't bad, but it comes across a little as imitation AJW.
Zenjo
Didn't like this at all. I didn't have high hopes with Madusa in there. She looked bad, or good depending on what you were looking at. Harley does a blade job. Match is short and random.
PeteF3
Hah, I liked this quite a bit, though it's clearly the least of the 3 matches we see. Madusa--God bless her, she really tries, but the execution for the most part just isn't there and that drags this down at times. And holy crap are there some uncomfortable moments here--I'm all for snug work and realism but some of the kicks unleashed by Kansai and Madusa were brutal, as was Madusa clobbering Saito in the back of the head with a chair. As was Saito's blade job. Still, Harley gave a really good sympathetic performance and had some good kickouts before succumbing. Concussion issues aside the use of the chair was smarter than just about any weapon use in any AJW match on these yearbooks, and the out-of-the-ring brawling felt more realistic than the Itchy & Scratchy bullshit from Bull and Aja earlier in the year and at times in 1990. soup23
This was good but seemed like an essential squash for Kansai. She dominated the match and whipped ass. I did feel bad for Harley and she gave a good sympathetic performance in this but it was by far the worst match of the three from this show. garretta
This is about as hardcore as I've ever seen when it comes to women's matches; the blade job by Saito is particularly ghastly. The problem is, that's about the only thing that stands out here. The in-ring work was middling at best, although unlike most of you I think Medusa handled herself as best she could. I can tell that JWP's going to be an acquired taste for me; the matches are still night and day compared to the feeble American attempts at a women's division around this time, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're good. I'll have to see more before I can make up my mind.
dawho5
Madusa seemed like she was trying things above her skill level. You give her credit for trying, but wish she would stick to stuff she can do on something like this. The match itself is a huge mess and nothing seems to mean much besides Saito's ridiculous blade job. It was nice of Madusa and Kansai to not actively step on Saito while they were celebrating their win though.
