Johnny Sorrow Posted March 13, 2013 Report Share Posted March 13, 2013 I was at the ROH show where they founded Gen Next (Shelley, Aries, Strong, and Evans) and at the time Shelley was the only guy who could talk...so he became the "leader". But it didn't take long even in ROH for Aries to outshine Shelley both in ring and eventually on the stick. I will say that the show in the tent at Philly Gen Next formed was a ton of fun, and Generation Next was a really fun gimmick for a bit. nobofnoobs Posted March 15, 2013 Report Share Posted March 15, 2013 Yeah, I'd probably get sick of Shelley's schtick if subjected to it on a weekly basis. Is he even still with the company? I will say that Shelley v Danielson for the ROH strap in early 2006 is a whole lot better than any Aries match I have seen.Aries had about six matches with Danielson alone that were better than that one Shelley/Dragon match.
