The Boogeyman?

Just looking at this picture indicates the major problem in WWE to me right now -- there's no clear direction going in the company at all. What is the current image of WWE? You have Edge and Matt Hardy doing worked shoots on one side, you have Batista acting like the modern-day Ultimate Warrior on the other side, you have Cena trying to be the next Rock elsewhere, and above, you have a Wrestlecrap-level gimmick that will be ridiculed for years to come. What is WWE about these days? Are they trying to become more mature or more kiddie? More modern or more of a throwback? Are they emphasizing work and competition again with feuds like Angle/Michaels, or are they still clinging to the Russo-ish soap opera stuff in feuds like Eddy/Rey? Do they even know?

Do they even know?

No, not at all, and that's the problem. They're just throwing tons of shit at the wall and moving forward with anything that seems to stick. Cena, for example. They also have too many motherfuckers with input...most of which is either ignored or written off by the McMahon's. That's another problem.

Why would Daivari not be allowed to do his flying carpet splash? It'd certainly get over. Maybe that's why he can't do it, because he'd get over? That's a problem. They should be letting anyone do anything they can to get themselves over. Instead, they don't let anyone do anything and everything is boring.

I think that they need to get John Cena, Carlito Caribbean Cool, Randy Orton and Muhammad Hassan on the same show. Make those four the focus. Maybe Chris Masters too. Most of them are the shits in the ring but they all have the look and seemingly have charisma. It's like the Rock. It's easier to learn to work than it is to learn the unteachable. The Rock turned out to be the best thing for WWE ever...and he was a bad worker for quite some time. Athletic, yes, but not a good worker.

Right now, WWE are just spinning their wheels. They're going back to the same dry wells. Hell, last week we had Cena/Bischoff in a Vince/Austin situation. They have got to get new ideas.

As far as the Boogyman is concerned, it's a joke. It worked for the Undertaker fifteen years ago but he was booked as a monster for years. The Boogyman will be more like Papa Shango in that he'll be a laughing stock.

Lame gimmick, yes, but I'll reserve all judgements until after I've seen this man wrestle.

He tried out for Tough Enough, and didn't qualify because he lied about his age on his application. The guy is 40, said he was like 30. Looks every bit the part too - he's in great shape and if his promos on Tough Enough were any indication, he'll be good on the mic, too.

Anyone can have a horrible gimmick, but a true star can make it work. Let's see what happens.

I was at his House Show debut a few days ago.

Its very gimmicky, Papa Shango/Original Goldust/ and the Basham Brothers all in one. He cut a promo trying to be creepy, but nobody knew who the fuck he was and everybody either yelled "Youre a freak" or compared him to Mike Tyson, cause I dunno all black people look like Mike Tyson or something.

I think hes the same guy who at least has the same look as the older, black guy who was on the last Tough Enough but got cut for lying about his age.

And he wasnt wearing any horns or carrying any mystical artifacts.
