Loss
Looks like Edge v Kane in a cage match is going to happen on this show, which means that we'll either get a really cool visual of Matt climbing the cage and diving onto Edge below or we'll get him "kidnapping" Lita, who'll be outside the cage. My guess anyway, we'll see how it goes.
Guest EastCoastJ
If they wanted to continue to make this believable to those who still think that it is a work, Hardy really shouldn't come into contact with Edge or Lita at all tonight. There is no way that security should be inept enough to let the same guy interfere during the same match twice in two weeks, so if believability is the key, then Hardy should either be stopped by security before he even makes it into the arena, and not allowed in, or be pulled off of the cage by security and dragged out the back door. My guess is that he'll probably come off of the top of the cage as well. Not necessarily believable, but the visual of ten WWE security members scaling the cage to get Hardy out will be cool nonetheless.
Guest teke184
Either security dragging Hardy off the cage or an incognito Hardy jumping Edge from over the guardrail on the way back from the match seems like possibilities. Maybe he could put in some temporary hair-dye and pretend to be Jeff...
Guest EastCoastJ
I'm not the biggest fan of Jeff Hardy, but that would be the greatest angle ever if security did get to Matt Hardy while he was trying to get over the guardrail, but while everyones attention was on that, Jeff Hardy darted out of the crowd, scaled the cage and came off of the top onto Edge. sek69
Perhaps they'd do the old Rick Rude bit where the security team is in full SWAT gear and one of them turns out to be Matt.
Coffey
I think I'd like it better if Jeff Hardy came out to the Hardy Boyz' old music and then walked to the top of the ramp to provide a distraction to the crowd, security and wrestlers. Then Matt strikes from behind. Of course, that kinda throws the "real" element out the window.
goodhelmet
Well, Edge's interview was a little intense, but like all bad writing, resorted to the internet geek BS. I tuned in during the Diva Search and it was neat seeing the WWE interject music over the live crowd so you couldn't hear the jeers. Did anyone else notice how Coach went into rapid-fire delivery so he could get the hell out of there?
sek69
Man, Philly was the absolutely the worst place to have such a long Diva segment. Those were the loudest "BORING" chants I've heard in years. But these segments are basically Vince shoving his dick in the fans' face so it doesn't matter how loudly the fans turn on these segments. Guest KingPK
So are we just going to have Edge and Kane do every gimmick match in the book now? I liked Edge's promo actually. He sounded more "real" and intense than usual. The shot at the "internet geeks" is based partly in truth, since I'm sure Edge WAS probably sick of the internet leaping all over the story. What the hell is Shelton Benjamin on lately? He almost killed himself TWICE tonight.
sek69
I think they were trying to sell his head injury from when he lost the title, since he was able to keep his balance when they did the spot where he got put in the Tree of Woe.
Loss
This was a really bad show. I was only watching for the Matt Hardy angle, and that was really brief anyway. Edge's promo was good, but it was too much of a typical wrestling promo to fit the storyline. Looks like Brian's thoughts about how he knew Matt had the goods to pull this off but worried about Edge and WWE have been on the money thus far. Mad Dog
I can't even bring myself to sit through more than 5 minutes of the WWF anymore. Everytime I tune in I have to sit through 20 minutes of skits and talking just to get 3 minutes of wrestling. I really miss having Impact on tv where most of the show was in the ring. Guest WidowsPeak
I only had Raw on to see the cage match and it wasn't very good, and the Matt Hardy appearance wasn't all that interesting either.
Guest Big Papi
Having Matt Hardy show up again so soon was a mistake. Pretty soon people will remember that he is boring, his pop will fizz out and he'll get canned again. From browsing a few message boards it seems a good number of people are already turning on this angle. I didn't catch the show last night, was the crowd reaction still hot? It's a big mistake to have him show up every week. Next week Edge should come out with bruises all over his face due to Matt Hardy beating him up at a night club or something. It's a good way to continue the story line without over exposing Matt.
Loss
Crowd was still very much into him, but I don't think Edge doing that promo was the right move at all.
Guest Anth
I thought the cage match was good actually. Not amazingly great, but still enjoyable. Both men made good use of the cage with spots, like the Edge spear which he pulls out in every cage match, and Kane kicking Edge into the wall. Kane hit a nice bladejob. And the ending made sense, Edge couldn't put Kane away, so he used the briefcase and ran out of the cage. That said, I'm not really looking forward to the stretcher match, they'll have to do a lot to make that one great. Everything else about the show stunk though. John Cena as Stone Cold 2K5 is not fun to watch, and he is in no position at this point to be carrying guys like Snitsky. If anything they have to protect Cena with better oponnents. Guest CanadianChick
If that was too much of a wrestling promo, WWE shouldn't let Matt on the mic anytime soon. When he was on Byte This and ranted, it sounded like much more of a wrestling promo than Edge's did. I was actually agreeing with Lita when she said "Are you done with your wrestling promo Matt?". I still think the feud is good, but he can't jump the guardrail again. Think of something else creative...
Mad Dog
I think they've already fucked this angle up. If the match rumored for Summerslam happens they've blown another sure fire angle. I think they'll make Hardy regret not signing with TNA.
