Loss Posted September 3, 2013 Author Report Posted September 3, 2013 Dutch hypes his ABL (Anyone But Lawler) plans for title defenses. He's even willing to defend against Bret Hart or Hulk Hogan! How nice of him! Lawler interrupts Dutch and again states why he's pissed about the Dreamer/Dutch match happening -- Dreamer will win and take the title to ECW, then Lawler will have to go back to ECW to get the belt back. In the middle of this debate, Tommy Dreamer comes out and attacks both guys and we have ourselves a three-way brawl. The locker room clears to break all of this up and we have quite the scene. Beulah is there too! Dutch uses Shoebaby to drag Dreamer all around the ring and James Beard takes a punch! I love Tommy Dreamer in Memphis! Quote

He had a longer run there than I thought. Announcer refers to Beulah as Tommy’s partner. Beard took a big face first bump off a Dreamer punch. Quote

The host gets pushed around again by lawler. I loved the bump Beard took off the punch. Dreamer is able to create a chaotic scene when he invades the USWA. Quote
PeteF3 Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 We get an intensely uncomfortable moment with the Scott Bowden-lookalike announcer standing in the shot, and Lawler shoving him away and calling him "useless" and an "idiot." And he...promptly walks back into the shot again. Lawler and Dutch are having a back-and-forth over the title that's cut off by Tommy Dreamer--and even Beulah has made the trip for this one. Crazy 3-way brawl erupts that spills into the ring and into the crowd(!), creating one of the most chaotic scenes in the WMC studio since the Snowman at his peak. Dreamer clobbers James Beard who takes a crazy Mr. Perfect-style bump on the studio floor. Quote
ajtroma Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 The announcer in question here was named Tony Friedman. The word I heard why the guys didnt like him (Lawler particularly) was that we was Kevin Lawler's roommate while also openly gay. Pretty lame reason if you ask me. Quote
