Harvey Whippleman is out dressed like Rick Rude while Ross and Cornette make jokes. Shawn is in a somber mood, saying he hasn't had much sleep since Survivor Series. He takes full responsibility for what happened and says Bret is under contract to the WWF until November 30. Everyone involved deserved better. Shawn has made contact with Bret without anyone's knowledge and tonight, they will settle their issues once and for all. He tells Bret this can end with a handshake or a fight. Well that sounds sincere.

I believe Shawn! After all the awful crap he's done this year, he's having a change of heart. Him and Bret will settle things later on show.

Shawn is heartbroken over what happens and he says that the controversy will be done once and for all. DX is pretty much the DX we know by this point with music and everything.

Harvey Wippleman is out as an ersatz Rick Rude in a desperate attempt by the WWF and DX to save face. They just end up looking more pathetic. Shawn is SERIOUS tonight.

Harvey Whippleman impersonating Rick Rude is funny. Shawn is upset over the Montreal situation & wants to clear the air. He claims he's been in contact with Bret & he will be here tonight. Apparently, Bret's WWF contract doesn't expire until November 30. Shawn says he & Bret will meet face-to-face tonight. There will either be a handshake or a fight. This is a good promo from Shawn if it's actually taken as sincere, but the punch line comes later in the night. So lame.
