Loss
Talk about it here.
soup23
So this match wasn't even the main event of this show? Wow. Savage dives from the top rope right into the guardrail in a nasty looking spot. Hogan grabs a chair and Liz takes it from him. This allows Savage to throw Hogan into the post and hit him with a few chair shots. Back inside, Savage hits his elbow drop. Bagwell stops the count and all of the NWO comes out and pounces on Savage. Hogan pastes him with a chair on top of the head and it looks like Savage and the NWO is no more. Loss
Last few minutes. Hogan is about to use a chair when Liz takes it away and distracts him, leading to Savage taking back over and hitting Hogan with it a few times. Bagwell pulls the referee out of the ring just as he was about to make the count after Savage's big elbow, and the NWO comes down to beat down Savage. Nash may do the laziest run-in of all time here, not even bothering to get in the ring. Savage attacks Hogan again at the last minute and has to be pulled off. A fresh feud with the two biggest names in the company feels stale, how about that!
PeteF3
Savage wipes out on an axhandle to the floor and lands on the guardrail in a brutal-looking spot, shades of Crush dropping him and cutting his tongue open back in '93. He makes a comeback, with a timely assist from Liz, and hits the big elbow only to get swarmed by the rest of the NWO and beaten down. No spraypaint but this is otherwise straight out of 1996. Hogan staggers away from the ring, but right as we're about to cut out, Savage breaks through the pack and attacks Hogan! THAT was cool. This is still the wrong feud to go with as an NWO breakup, but that was cool.
TravJ1979
Sooo over the NWO and it is only February. No interest at all in Savage v. Hogan.
