Loss
Talk about it here.
soup23
Here's Lee Marshall. Savage is still coming out with the NWO music. Savage attacks Sting before the bell. I kind of don't understand why these two hate each other so much based on what we have seen on the yearbooks. Sting makes his comeback in his trenchcoat and this is the epitome of a punch/kick match. Sting locks on the Scorpion and here comes Hogan and Hall. Now, Sting and Savage team up to clean house and the NWO circles the ring. Sting and Macho unite to fend of the NWO and again the crowd heat is telling as this gets a moderate pop at best. Sting hooks himself and Macho on a harness and they escape in a terribly contrived exit as Hogan acts like he can't believe whats happening. Loss
Nothing match with Hall quickly running in to attack Sting. Hogan and Savage also get into it. The entire NWO shows up to go after both Savage and Sting before Sting hooks Savage to a harness and they both take off to the top of the arena. Horrible! PeteF3
This felt like a bigger ripoff than the Austin-Kane non-match, in all honesty. At least when the WWF has been baiting and switching lately, they've attempted to provide a super-hot angle designed to make you forget that you didn't get the match you wanted. Sting flying back up into the rafters has been played out, just like every other show-closing angle WCW has run since the fall. The hook-up this time seemed extra awkward and the NWO really looked like idiots just standing there. And why can't we get some new music for Savage already? TravJ1979
This. This is what I mean by WCW bait and switch with nothing to show for it. Time stood still while Sting hooked up the harness. The nWo could have ran to the back, ate a sandwich and then came back out and grabbed Sting and Savage in the time it took for them to hook up. I mean how dumb can you be when you see two guys hooking themselves to a harness. What else could they have planned. Ugh.
